Despite the lack of public form, Icymiss represents the strongest winning chance based on connections. The Hoysted stable is known for having their horses ready to win on debut, and the booking of Ryan Maloney is significant. The moderate-fast tempo should allow her to find a position despite barrier 9, and the leader bias at Ipswich will help if she shows early speed.

Herald Angel brings solid form credentials with placings in both attempts at this distance. The perfect barrier 1 draw is crucial at Ipswich's tight turning track, and she should be able to utilize the inside position to advantage. The Dunn stable knows how to prepare horses for this track, and Mallyon is a quality rider.
The application of blinkers for the first time should help her focus, and her form has been consistent with two 5th placings. The William Kropp stable has been in reasonable form.
Coming from Queensland's leading stable Tony Gollan, who has an excellent record with debutants, and drawn favorably in barrier 4 at the tight Ipswich track. Angela Jones is a capable jockey who rides well for the stable. The ear muffs pre-race only suggest the horse has a good temperament but might need help staying calm before the race.

First-starter with significant advantages at this venue. Drawn perfectly in barrier 2 on a track that heavily favors inside gates and on-pace runners. The booking of Damien Thornton is significant, and the Jack Bruce stable typically presents their horses ready to perform. The speed map suggests a forward position which is crucial at Ipswich with its tight turns and short straight.
First-starter from the powerful Tony Gollan stable who is likely to be prominent in running. The ear muffs pre-race only suggests they're looking to keep him calm before the start but ready to race. Barrier 7 is wider than ideal at Ipswich but with early speed can overcome this. The stable's runners are typically well-prepared, and the speed map suggests he'll be in the right position.
Consistent performer resuming from a spell with a solid record at this track (1 third from 1 start) and when first-up (1 third from 2 attempts). Has drawn well in barrier 4 which is crucial at Ipswich. The 217-day break is the main query.
Offers excellent value coming back from Listed company to a maiden. The 53.5kg is a big advantage, and he's shown ability when placed third in maiden company.

The inside draw is perfect for Ipswich's tight turning track, and his on-pace running style suits this leader-biased circuit. While rising in class, his progressive profile and strong Good track record (2 wins from 3 starts) suggest he can handle the step up.
Impendor brings strong credentials as a second-up performer today with a good record at this track. His last start second at Randwick reads well for this, and the inside draw is ideal for Ipswich's tight turns. While carrying top weight, he's proven at this level and has the tactical speed to put himself in the right position. The main query is whether he can produce his best on a Good track.
Meet George represents each-way value dropping back significantly in class from Open company races. His previous placing at this track is encouraging, and the gear changes could spark improvement. The light weight is a plus, and Wilson-Taylor is a capable rider. While his recent form is only fair, the class drop is significant enough to put him in the finish.

Perfectly drawn in barrier 3 for Ipswich's tight-turning track, he should get an ideal run on or near the speed. The gear changes (blinkers off, nasal strip on) suggest connections are addressing breathing issues, and the booking of Ryan Maloney is a significant positive.
Perfectly drawn in barrier 1 for Ipswich's tight-turning track, she should get an ideal run on the speed. Angela Jones retains the ride, and the mare is well-weighted with 55.5kg. The slight rise in class is the main concern.
Carpaccio brings a strong first-up record to this race and has been a consistent placegetter throughout his career. The main concerns are his lack of experience at both the track and distance, as well as the fact he's first-up from a 189-day spell.
A winner at Ipswich from two attempts, he's well-drawn in barrier 5 and likely to be on the speed in a track that favors leaders. The 42-day freshen-up is a slight concern, but he's shown ability fresh in the past.

With a proven record on Good tracks and at this course, she represents the most reliable winning chance in a race where many runners are either out of form or stepping up in class.
Toba returns from a spell but has a solid first-up record with two placings from six attempts. Maps to be on-pace which is crucial at Ipswich's tight-turning track. While this is a significant class rise, he's drawn perfectly in barrier 1 which is crucial at Ipswich's tight-turning track. Being second-up from a spell suggests natural improvement, and as a lightly-raced 4YO with only 6 career starts, he has considerable upside.
