His recent form is strong with a close 3rd at Ballina over 1415m just 8 days ago. From barrier 6 with only 52.5kg, he gets conditions to break through for a maiden win. While he typically settles back which isn't ideal at Ipswich, the moderate-fast tempo should allow him to finish strongly. His proven ability on soft tracks (18:0-5-4) is another significant advantage.

He's Got Grunt brings crucial track and distance experience with a 3rd placing at Ipswich over 1700m on a Heavy 8 track. From barrier 4, he should get an ideal on-pace position at this leader-favoring track. While his last start was disappointing, he can bounce back on a track where he's performed well previously, and the moderate-fast tempo should suit his racing style.
Ratenotice comes off a strong 2nd placing at Ipswich over 1350m and has shown consistency with a second placing from 5 starts. The mare is proven at the track and has the experienced Brandon Lerena aboard. While stepping up to 1700m for the first time, her racing pattern suggests she'll handle it. The barrier draw (7) is a concern at Ipswich, and she'll likely settle midfield which isn't ideal at this tight-turning track with its short straight.
The gelding is well-drawn in barrier 5 and should get a reasonable position in the run.

Lightly-raced 3YO filly with excellent potential who has never missed a place. Placed at this track/distance on soft going and then won impressively at Eagle Farm. Maps to get an ideal on-pace position from barrier 4, which is crucial at Ipswich's tight-turning track. First-up but has placed fresh previously and the stable knows how to prepare them. The class rise is offset by her progressive profile.
Consistent 4YO who has never missed a place at this track and distance (3:1-1-1). Second-up today where he has placed previously. Maps to be on-pace from barrier 2 which suits Ipswich's tight-turning layout. The class rise is significant but his track/distance record and recent form suggest he can measure up.
Consistent mare who has placed at this track and distance previously (2:0-1-1). Gets the perfect inside draw which is crucial at Ipswich. Has tactical speed to be on-pace which suits this leader-biased track. Form has tapered slightly with a 5th last start but prior form was solid. The class rise is significant but her consistency and perfect barrier give her claims in this field.
Second-up today with fitness improvement expected and carries just 54kg.

Her recent form is rock solid with three consecutive runner-up finishes, and she drops significantly in class here after competing in stronger company. Well-drawn in barrier 6 for this tight-turning track and with top jockey Vlad Duric aboard, she maps to settle in a perfect midfield position in a race with likely fast tempo.
Youmeanddupre has the perfect draw in barrier 1 which is crucial at Ipswich's tight-turning track. The addition of blinkers for the first time could sharpen his focus, and he drops significantly in class here. His recent third placing two starts back shows ability, and he'll carry just 54kg with Bella Youngberry's claim. Maps to be on the speed from the inside gate which is the ideal setup at this venue.
Yeah Buddy brings consistency with three thirds from three career starts and performs well at this track with two thirds from two attempts. He's second-up from a spell with a previous second-up placing and the addition of blinkers could sharpen his focus. Maps to settle midfield and should be running on strongly in the straight.
The removal of blinkers could help him settle better in running, and he's well-drawn in barrier 2 which is crucial at Ipswich.

The Chris & Corey Munce-trained filly should get a good run from barrier 7 and will be suited by the expected fast tempo, allowing her to finish strongly in the short straight. The addition of ear muffs pre-race suggests connections are looking to help her settle better, which could be key to improvement.
La Profecia showed promise on debut with a third placing at Gold Coast and draws ideally in barrier 3 for this tight-turning Ipswich track. The Tony Gollan-trained gelding should be able to use his early speed to settle on pace, which is a significant advantage at this venue.
Mishani Vision brings consistent form with placings in two of her three starts, including a third at this track and a recent second at Toowoomba. The filly draws perfectly in barrier 2 which is crucial at Ipswich, and her on-pace running style suits this tight-turning track.
The T.B. Thomas-trained gelding is showing improvement with each run and should be suited by the expected fast tempo.

Gordon''s Gin (Bm62)
The Torque Xpress brings strong recent form with a win and a close second from his last two starts. The light weight of 55kg is another significant advantage, and he's proven on soft tracks with a win from two starts in those conditions.
He draws well in barrier 5 on this tight, turning track and has proven soft track credentials. The first-time cross-over nose band could help him focus better after a slightly disappointing run last start.
While he faces a significant class rise from a maiden win, his raw ability suggests he can be competitive. Barrier 6 is still workable on this tight track, and he's likely to show good early speed. The main question marks are his inexperience and unproven soft track credentials.
He's proven on soft tracks with a win and a second from four starts, and has been a consistent performer with two wins and two seconds from eight starts. The main concern is the top weight of 62kg, but his class edge may offset this disadvantage.

Barrier Reef Pools (Bm70)
Maps perfectly from barrier 2 to be on-pace at leader-favoring Ipswich. Has proven ability on soft tracks and consistent form pattern. The 2000m is the query, but overall profile suggests he's the one to beat.
Pieronimo comes into this second-up after a solid third placing over 1400m. The 2000m is a significant query as he steps up in distance, but his racing pattern and soft track ability suggest he can handle it. Progressive type with upside.
Indy Rose Warrior comes off a solid 4th placing just 5 days ago over 2020m. Handles soft tracks well and has experience at similar distances. The quick backup is a positive sign from connections and suggests she's ready to peak third-up from a spell.
Has a consistent profile with a good place strike rate and should appreciate the step up to 2000m. Gets in with a light weight and has a versatile racing pattern that can adapt to the tempo.

Dream Lantern brings compelling credentials with an impressive first-up win at Ipswich and a strong record at this track (2 wins from 4 starts). The mare is perfectly drawn in barrier 2 on this tight-turning, leader-biased circuit and should secure an ideal on-pace position. While her second-up record (0 wins from 3 starts) is a concern, her tactical speed and barrier advantage make her the standout in a race that will favor forward runners.
He's dropping significantly in class after a solid third last start and has proven ability at the distance with 2 wins from 5 starts. While his tendency to settle back is a concern at Ipswich, his barrier draw should allow him to position closer than usual.
North Of Eli brings rock-solid recent form, finishing a close second last start in Class 5 company. His versatility across track conditions (3 wins from 9 starts on soft) is a plus, and he drops 2.5kg here. While barrier 7 is a significant concern at this tight-turning track, his tactical speed should allow him to find a position. His consistency makes him a genuine place chance despite no wins at the distance.
His recent form is solid with a close second last start, and he has an impressive record at the distance (4 wins from 14 starts).

Tempus Two (Bm65)
Maps perfectly from barrier 6 to be on-pace at this leader-favoring circuit. His 2 wins from 5 starts on good tracks shows his class, and while second-up stats aren't stellar, he should have improved fitness. The tight-turning Ipswich track suits his racing pattern perfectly.
Alpha Bravo returns from a spell with a strong first-up record (1-0-1 from 3) and excellent track credentials (1 win from 2 starts). While unproven at the distance, his soft track form (3 seconds, 2 thirds from 6 starts) is a positive if conditions deteriorate. Barrier 2 is ideal at this tight-turning track, and his consistent placing record suggests he'll be in the finish. The 192-day spell is the main query.
Kickatinalong resumes with a strong first-up record (1-0-2 from 3) and excellent distance credentials (2 wins from 3 starts). Her overall consistency (3 wins, 3 thirds from 8 starts) is impressive, and she performs well on good tracks. The main concerns are her outside barrier at this tight-turning track and lack of experience at Ipswich. Still, her first-up prowess and distance record make her a genuine contender.
His last start 2nd indicates he's in form, and he's dropping in class here. Particularly impressive on soft tracks (2 wins from 3 starts), which could be relevant given the forecast. Barrier 5 is ideal at Ipswich, and while untested at the distance, his racing pattern suggests it will suit.

Ray White Ipswich Plate (C1)
The significant class drop is a major plus, and his second-up record suggests further improvement. While carrying top weight is a concern, his barrier draw allows him to settle in a forward position on this leader-biased track. Represents the best winning chance in a race where many runners have questionable form.
Snugg brings solid recent form including a maiden win two starts back. The perfect barrier draw is a significant advantage at Ipswich, allowing her to save ground throughout. While stepping up in class is a concern, her consistent form pattern and good win/place strike rate (60%) suggest she's progressive. The main query is whether she can bounce back from a disappointing last start, but the inside draw gives her every chance.
Second-up pattern suggests further improvement, and the barrier draw allows him to settle midfield with cover on this tight-turning track. The class rise is a query, but his progressive profile and lightweight offset this concern.
Her consistent recent form includes a close third last start, and she's well-weighted with just 55kg. The barrier draw allows her to settle midfield, and she performs well on soft tracks. While her win strike rate is modest, her overall profile suggests she's ready to win, especially if the predicted fast tempo materializes.

The Industry School (Bm60)
Perfectly drawn in barrier 1 which is crucial at Ipswich's tight-turning track. The equal top weight (61.5kg) is a concern, as is being unproven at this track and distance, but his tactical speed and inside draw give him every chance to be in the finish at this leader-biased circuit.
Mare with excellent credentials at both Ipswich (2:0-2-0) and on soft tracks (4:2-1-0). Her backmarker style is typically a negative at this tight-turning track, but the predicted fast tempo should set up well for her finishing burst. Recent form is solid with a close 2nd two starts back. The wide barrier (16) is a significant concern at Ipswich, but she has the class to overcome it if the pace collapses.
Well drawn in barrier 2 for Ipswich's tight-turning track and gets in with just 56kg. While stepping up significantly in class from maiden grade, she's on an upward trajectory and has tactical speed to position well. The class rise is the main query.
Mare with an excellent record at this track and distance (3:2-0-1) who represents good value. Has been racing in slightly lower grade recently but has shown ability at this level previously. Well drawn in barrier 8 which should allow her to position midfield and use her proven affinity for the Ipswich circuit.
