She maps ideally from barrier 4, can settle on-pace and should relish the slow tempo. The step to 1100m suits and the lightweight helps.

Returns first-up for the Taylor yard, which has a good first-up record. Barrier 5 allows him to settle just behind the speed.
She draws barrier 2, which is a big plus for the Mackay on-speed bias, and carries only 52kg.

First-up stats are excellent (both runs placed), and the recent trial suggests readiness. The wide gate is a concern at Mackay, but the slow tempo and lack of genuine leaders should allow jockey Ryan Wiggins to find a midfield spot with cover.
Agnar has been ultra-consistent in three maiden starts, running 3rd each time. The step up to 1300m from 1200m should suit his Zoustar stamina. He maps to settle handy from barrier 6 in what looks a slow-run race. While he's unproven on soft, the Mackay surface is likely still cut out.
Willow Capri comes off a solid 2nd at the track in a 1100m maiden. The step to 1300m is a query given her only middle-distance run was poor, but the gear change (pacifiers) and low draw suggest she'll be prominent from the start. Jockey Cormack is riding with confidence and she may appreciate the slower tempo.
Doubtful Angel is the improver, coming off a close 2nd at Emerald. The gear changes (including tongue tie and nasal strip) suggest her connections are trying everything to get the maiden win. Barrier 5 and Tahlia Fenlon riding are positives.

Ladbrokes Mega Multi (Bm65)
Zaya is the selection based on her outstanding recent form at Mackay, winning her last two starts (Class 2 and Rest 58). She has a good record over 1100m here, including a runner-up finish on soft going. Jockey Tahlia Fenlon is a perfect 2-from-2 on the mare and knows her well. Barrier 6 allows a forward position, crucial at Mackay on soft where inside draws and on-pace runners dominate. The 55-day freshen-up is manageable given her consistency. She should prove too classy for this BM65 field.
Upstart Legend is a major threat with barrier 2 in his favour. He has a strong record at Mackay, especially on soft tracks where he won a BM70 over 1200m. The drop back to 1100m is a slight concern but he has placed over this distance. The biggest question is the jockey change to Emma Simsir who has limited recent success, but the horse's class and track bias should carry him. He maps to sit handy and take the inside runs, making him a key winning chance.
La Petite Maison is the class runner of the race, dropping from Open grade to BM65. He has a strong record at 1100m including a win at Mackay on soft. However, barrier 11 is a significant hurdle at Mackay where inside draws are heavily favoured. He will need a super tactical ride from Sean Cormack to overcome the draw. If he can slot in from the wide gate and produce his best, he is clearly the best horse. But the risk of being caught wide or held up is real. He is included as a top 3 selection on class but with caution.
Lucky Lass is the value pick as she is an improving 3yo filly who scored a gutsy win over this track and distance in BM60 last start. She steps up to BM65 but that win suggests she may be ready for the rise. Soft track form is decent with 1 win and 2 placings from 6 starts. She maps to settle handy from barrier 7 and can hold a forward position. The jockey booking is a negative but the horse's form and suitability are strong.

Ladbrokes Popular SRM (Bm50)
Four Leaf Wonder is a consistent gelding who has been knocking on the door with three consecutive placings. The significant drop from Class 2 to BM50 and the inside barrier make him a strong winning chance on the speed-favouring Mackay Soft track.
She handles the conditions well and gets a good barrier to settle handy in a slow tempo race.
However, his soft track record is a concern on a Soft 6 surface.
Silent Angel is a reliable placer who always runs well in this grade. His record on Soft is solid and he draws well. He should map into a good position and be strong late, making him a strong each-way play for exotics and value.

Spirit Of Mac maps perfectly from barrier 1 at Mackay on a Soft track where early position is king. He has a strong recent win at the course and distance on Soft, and his last two runs have been consistent (3rd in BM65). The inside draw gives him every chance to control the race from the front or sit handy. While his overall win rate is low, his current form and track conditions align ideally. He is the most likely winner based on form and map advantage.
She is second up today, which is a positive stat (1 win). Jockey Sean Cormack combines well with the trainer. However, barrier 7 on Mackay's speed-favouring track may require her to cover extra ground. She is clearly one of the main chances but the inside barrier of Spirit Of Mac gives that runner an edge. Still a strong place prospect.
Determination is a consistent gelding with strong form on Soft tracks. He ran second in a Class 4 last start and drops to Class 3 today. His overall record is solid but barrier 9 at Mackay's speed-oriented track is a concern; he'll need luck from the draw to get a favourable position. He still rates as a top-three chance due to class drop and consistency, but may find one or two too strong in the run.
Betta Than Presley is a consistent gelding who rarely runs a bad race, placing in 4 of his last 6. He steps up from Class 1 but went close last start in a Class 3 on Soft. His running style (on-pace) suits Mackay and the light weight is a positive on the rain-affected track. While not the most likely winner, he represents excellent value for place and exotics.

She won an Open last start and carries only 53kg. The wide barrier is a concern at Mackay, but with no genuine leaders in the race, she has the early speed to cross and find a forward position. She is the most likely winner despite the draw.
Mister Doobee maps perfectly from barrier 3 and has a strong soft-track record. He ran a close second at Townsville last start in Open class and has been consistent. If he can hold a forward spot under a slow tempo, he is a major winning threat.
Shemakesmenervous has been knocking on the door with consistent minor placings. From barrier 2 she should get every chance with a soft lead or handy position.
The Kobay Train is a proven Mackay performer who maps to get a soft run from barrier 1. She won a BM55 on soft two starts back and gets significant weight relief. Value play for exotics.

Bold Change is ultra consistent and has proven ability on soft at Mackay. Wide barrier is a concern but he maps to be handy.
Mordecai comes off a gutsy win at Townsville and drops to R55, his preferred grade. He has a fantastic record at Mackay over 1560m and should be competitive again. Barrier 11 is not ideal but he's drawn wider before with success.
Chance drops sharply from Open company to R55, a clear class edge. Barrier 5 and Ryan Wiggins are pluses on Mackay's speed-favouring track. Likely to sit handy and prove too good.
Latin Love resumes with a solid first-up third and has a strong record at Mackay, including a placing over this exact trip. Light weight and second-up fitness enhance her chance.

Blue Stratum presents as the most reliable winning chance with proven wet track form, strong recent performances, and a run style that suits Mackay's leader-favouring bias. The light weight and proven ability on soft surfaces offset the wide barrier concern.
Sunnycoast's outstanding Mackay record and proven leadership ability make him a strong threat.
La Petite Maison offers value with strong recent form and a run style that suits the track bias.
The wide barrier is a major concern but the class rise may not be as significant given the recent winning form.
