Rouladen was huge when resuming, coming from a wide gate to finish 2nd on Heavy8 at Nowra. That run suggests he handles wet ground well and will appreciate the step up to 1600m. Barrier 2 gives Jean Van Overmeire every chance to park handy.

Eagles Plumbing Plus Super Mdn Plate
Royal And Ready draws the inside gate and is likely to roll forward and try to control this from the front. He ran well on Heavy8 last time at Newcastle, finishing 3rd in a similar maiden. Zac Lloyd is a Gosford specialist and this lightly raced 3yo should appreciate the ear muffs first time.
Audaciously Frank is the clear form pick. He raced keenly last start and was only beaten a nose over this trip on Soft5, suggesting plenty of upside. The step to Heavy8 is the only query, but his dam Philonikia (by Frankel) handled wet ground. From barrier 5 with Winona Costin, he maps to settle just off the speed and should be too classy for most of these.
Liyah's Girl has been racing in much deeper waters, placing twice in Class 1 over 2000m. She drops to a Maiden here and gets a significant class advantage. First up after two trials, she may not be fully wound up but the drop in grade offsets that.

The Entrance Leagues Club Mdn Plate
King Of The Top finished a close third on debut over this track and distance on Heavy 8. From barrier 6 with Kerrin McEvoy, he maps to be prominent and should take plenty of beating. The main query is whether he can find the necessary improvement to break his maiden.
He draws the inside barrier, which is a major advantage on a turning track. Although first-up and untested on heavy, his soft-track form is solid and his speed should see him place again.
Noble Pride's debut was ordinary but he is a Joseph Pride-trained gelding who can improve sharply second-up. Barrier 3 and the booking of in-form jockey Jay Ford are positives.
Loud And Clear won a trial on Heavy 8, suggesting he handles the surface. From a wide barrier he must show early speed, but his trial win indicates ability. A place chance with potential to surprise.

Brisbane Waters Glass (Bm64)
The Piccolino is the standout on heavy ground, having won his last two starts on Heavy 8 and Heavy 9 at Taree. He maps to lead or sit handy on a slow tempo, which is ideal at Gosford. His heavy record (6:2-2-0) is the best in the field, and he gets in with a light weight and an in-form jockey who has already won on him.
Tartaglia drops sharply from BM82 to BM64, a class advantage that few others possess. Recent runs have been average but the tongue tie first time and class drop could spark improvement.
Herman Said is a promising gelding who has performed well fresh, winning first-up previously. The class drop from Class3 to BM64 is positive, and his soft track form indicates he handles wet ground. The major query is his lack of heavy track experience and the long spell.
He knows the track and gets a light weight.

Brown Commercial Building Provincial Mdn Hcp
The Kris Lees stable has a good first-starter record and Tyler Schiller is a course specialist. Respect but look elsewhere for value.
Eastern Beauty ran an eye-catching second on debut over 1200m at Goulburn on Soft, then spelled. Resuming over 1000m heavy with McEvoy aboard is a positive move from Widdup. The shorter trip fresh suits, and she maps well from barrier 4. Worth including as a value each-way chance.
Ateba has impressed in two barrier trials, winning at Beaumont and placing at Wyong on Soft 7. Trained by Nathan Doyle and ridden by Sam Clipperton, she draws barrier 2 which suits Gosford's forward bias. The heavy track is a query but her trials indicate she handles soft. She maps to settle handy and should be competitive on debut. Strong each-way chance.
Warm Front has genuine heavy-track form, finishing second at Muswellbrook on Heavy8. He returns from a spell over 1000m with barrier 1 and Zac Lloyd, a Gosford track specialist. The short distance is a query fresh but his heavy ability is a key advantage here.

The Settlers Tavern Mdn Plate
Tigroni is the clear form horse. Has placed in 4 of 6 starts, including a strong 2nd at this track/distance on Heavy8 last time out. The Listed and Open class experience towers over most of this field. Zac Lloyd is having a purple patch and has a great record at Gosford.
Rising Revolution has hit the board in all three starts, including a runner-up effort at Gosford on Heavy8 last time. That form reads well for this race. The concern is the wide barrier (13) which makes it tough to get the handy position needed at Gosford. Sam Clipperton rides and may need to use him early.
Bonvoy made a pleasing debut in an Open race at Warwick Farm, finishing 4th after being held up. That form would be more than strong enough to win a Maiden. Drops significantly in grade and draws perfectly in barrier 2. The only query is the Heavy track, but as a Capitalist filly she should handle it. Strong winning chance.
Kiss Of Gold has been running well in wet conditions, finishing 2nd then 3rd at Newcastle on Soft6 and Heavy8. She maps well from gate 5 and should be in the race for a long way.

Coastal Air Conditioning (Bm64)
Best credentials on the Heavy surface, recent form includes a strong 3rd in similar grade. Draws well, has a top jockey, and should settle handy in a slow tempo. The slight distance query is mitigated by his speed map advantage. Clear top chance at each-way value.
Possesses the best wet-track form in the race, with a win and a third on Heavy. She's been freshened and her first-up stats are excellent. The wide draw is less punitive in a small field.
The obvious danger with a maiden win over this track and distance last time. The on-pace map and class rise are concerns.
This filly has shown ability on Heavy going, winning her maiden and placing in a CL1. She gets the inside barrier and a light weight, which could allow her to lead unchallenged.

Neville Glover-Parramatta Leagues Club Midway Hcp (C1)
Gaelic Gem profiles perfectly for this heavy-track Class 1: she has the best wet-track and 1200m form in the field, drawing barrier 1 to lead in a slow tempo, and gets blinkers for the first time. While she flopped last start, her prior form on wet ground is superior.
Iron Fury is a consistent gelding who has been racing well, placed at Gosford previously. He steps up to 1200m for the first time and has no wet form, which are concerns on Heavy 8. However, his speed map and inside gate suggest he'll settle handy.
She did run a creditable 5th on heavy at Rosehill in a higher grade, and Zac Lloyd is a positive.
Serinda has been disappointing lately but gets significant gear changes and a red-hot jockey in Jay Ford. She drops back to Class 1 and draws well.
