The most complete profile in the race. With rain forecast the surface should be at or below Soft 6, which plays directly to his strengths. Barrier 6 lands in Tamworth's favoured mid-draw band. The 59.5kg is the one genuine query, but he has already proven he handles weight.

Wests Entertainment Group Country Boosted Hcp (C2)
The best-placed runner on map and conditions. Barrier 5 and forward speed dovetail with a track that heavily favours runners inside the top three at the 400m in a slow tempo. The jockey's Tamworth record and her single career win temper the confidence, so place cover is the sensible route.
Two wins on the trot and a soft-track victory at Grafton make him an obvious contender, and Weir is two from two aboard. The reservation is trip: he has never raced at 1600m and his only two attempts beyond a mile were comprehensively beaten, albeit in maiden grade early in the preparation.
The clearest overlay in the race.

Shay Brennan Constructions (Bm66)
The Aug 4 Quirindi BM58 is the key formline of the race, and Heapy's Legacy won it under 57kg with Lone Star Dream and Calzino behind him; today he drops to 55kg while Lone Star Dream drops only 1.5kg. Barrier 2 and the Weir/Singleton combination give him the forward, on-pace position this tight, turning circuit consistently rewards in a slowly run staying race.
Barrier 10 fits Tamworth's mid-draw advantage and Neale's 38% strike rate for the stable signals intent.
He has run 2nd in two of his last three and gets a soft draw with 55kg, but the profile is a horse with one win from fourteen starts rising sharply in grade with a 4:0-0-0 record on Soft ground.
The value play is the one proven stayer here at his right trip and right grade. Fulmen Filou won over 2100m at Tamworth in February under this exact 61.5kg and won a BM66 over 2230m at Grafton, while every other main contender is rising out of BM58 or Class 1. His last two starts were at 1600-1700m, distances well short of his best, which explains the beaten margins.

The wet-track anchor of the race with two placings from two soft-ground runs and a solid 2nd at Gunnedah on Soft 6 last start where he finished in front of two of today's rivals. Maps forward, which is exactly the profile Tamworth's soft-track data rewards, and the Chandler-Gallagher combination is striking at 25%.
Barrier 14 on Tamworth's tight 1830m circuit is a significant handicap where wide draws win only around 5% in sprints, and she has no soft-ground evidence at all. Weir's booking and the placing consistency keep her safe for a minor collect rather than the win.
Barrier 4 and a forward map suit a track where on-pace runners dominate on soft ground, and with no genuine leader engaged he can control a slow tempo.

Barrier 6 is the statistically strongest gate at Tamworth on soft, and the speed map hands him a solo lead into a projected slow tempo, exactly the profile the 400m data rewards. Jockey inexperience and an untried 1400m/Soft combination temper confidence, hence 74 rather than higher.
Three placings from six starts with tight margins suit the reliability premium this grade demands, and Ben Looker's 13% track strike rate is the strongest booking in the field.
The genuine overlay. Her form at today's exact trip is the best of the roughies: two thirds from three starts at 1400m, one of them on Soft 5 at Scone and another beaten half a length at Moree.

Tamworth City Toyota Hcp (C1)
The most credible form line in the race. She has been placed at both Tamworth starts at today's exact 1400m trip, owns a soft-track win, and was beaten only half a length in Class 1 at Moree 19 days ago under the same 58kg. Barrier 9 is the one blemish, but Looker can cross into the handy position the track bias rewards.
A reliable, if unspectacular, type dropping back to Class 1 after being beaten a length on a Heavy 9 at Dubbo when beginning awkwardly. Barrier 4 and a forward pattern fit the track's on-pace lean, and the Muswellbrook second in Bench. 58 rates her comfortably in this grade.
The clear query is barrier 12 on a turning circuit where wide gates struggle, so she needs luck early. Held safe on the map rather than dismissed on ability.
58 grade. She has a 1400m win on a rain-affected surface, draws the most productive Tamworth gate band, and carries only 53kg.

McDonalds Tamworth - Tamworth Rush (Bm82)
The most complete profile in the race. He has won at Tamworth on a Soft 7, handles heavy ground, and draws to take the forward spot the track bias demands.
The weight-relief runner of the race. She has placed in three of her four Soft-track starts and boasts a distance record of two wins and two placings from five. Barrier 6 gives her the handy midfield position Tamworth Soft racing rewards. Not a proven winner in this grade, but well weighted and mapped for a strong finish.
Her Randwick tenth is excusable after striking interference at the jump, and the Muswellbrook Open win two back shows she is competitive at this level. The 4.5kg weight rise from her recent assignments and a jockey with a poor Tamworth record are the concerns, but barrier 4 and wet-track credentials make her the best-value each-way runner in the first four.
The Grafton failure came after racing wide and striking interference near the 200m, so it can be set aside.

Concrete Industry Supplies Hcp (C3)
The form case is the cleanest in the race: a soft-track specialist (11 starts, 2 wins, 2 seconds) who has already won over this exact course and distance on Soft 5, and who ran a close 4th at Gunnedah under 59.5kg last start.
His Tamworth 1000m record of 5:1-1-1 is the best at track and distance here, and he gets significant class relief from Open company. The two plain runs since both carry legitimate excuses.
Barrier 6 lets Gallagher settle in the first half without overworking, which the track notes rate as the key structural advantage. Wet form is modest on Soft specifically, but she has won on Heavy and the distance/current-form edge outweighs the tie-breaker.
64 grade reads better than the bare fourth placing. She placed at Tamworth over 1000m on a Soft 7 and drops 4kg from her June assignment here. The concern is a jockey booking with a poor local strike rate and a soft-track record still without a win, which caps her at third.
82 — are the strongest raw form lines in a Class 3, and today represents a sharp class drop.
