Lone Star Dream steps out fresh off a game second-placed effort at this trip and grade, and has been one of the most consistent runners in the race, missing a top-three finish only once in his last five starts.

Bolero won over today's course, distance and going in August, the strongest conditions match of anyone in this field, and has followed that with a competitive placing at a shorter trip last start.
Dipierdomenico arrives in career-best form, having scored last start after racing competitively at this grade beforehand. He has a strong record over today's trip and handles wet tracks well, but he needs to make up ground from off the speed at a track that generally favours forward runners, and today represents a step up from his winning grade. The improving profile and good barrier still make him a leading each-way hope.
Nature Boy's recent form reads poorly, but he drops sharply in class after racing well above this level, and his record at this track over this trip is the standout in the race. With only one realistic leader to beat him to the front and a slowly run race expected, he looks the type to get every favour early.

Book A Christmas Party @ CRJC Mdn Plate
A proven leader whose last-start Coffs Harbour effort, leading throughout before going down narrowly, was the strongest formline in this field. Grafton's track rewards forward runners heavily, and with only one other genuine leader in the race he gets every chance to dictate.
Drawn to sit forward in a race that rewards on-pace runners, though she may need to work out minor speed duel with the other genuine leader.
Strong hookup between jockey and trainer adds weight to the case.
A genuine placegetter who has never missed a top-half finish when fit, including a place fresh off a spell last time she resumed.

Credibility has been building nicely, running over the top of rivals at Muswellbrook and Beaumont, and was arguably unlucky when held up and beaten narrowly last start. Rates the pick of a moderately-run race.
With only one other genuine leader in the field, Steady On should get first use of this track's strong on-pace bias without a real speed battle to contend with. He has raced honestly in provincial maidens, including a narrow defeat when leading at this track last campaign, but needs to hold on rather than fade as he has in his past two runs. Each-way claims given how favourably the speed map sets up for him.
La Regina has been a model of consistency without quite getting over the line, highlighted by a narrow third at this track last month over a similar trip on rain-affected ground. She gets back to a handy on-pace position under this map, has more experience at the distance than most of this field, and her record on wet tracks stacks up well. A genuine each-way threat if the two likely leaders set it up for on-pace runners as expected.
Dark Martian's sole run was full of promise, producing a strong finishing burst from well back to be beaten only a handful of lengths on debut. The stable and rider combine for an excellent strike rate together, and there should be more improvement second-up.

CRJC Christmas Race Day 29 November Country Boosted (Bm66)
Patrioticintention was narrowly beaten at this grade last start with a smart time and has a strong record when the track is rain-affected. She races handy, which suits the powerful forward bias at Grafton, and a slightly easier field today should suit.
Dizzy Dee boasts an outstanding record at Grafton and is the type to control the race from the front, exactly the running style this track rewards most. She scored well last start with a genuinely smart time, though her record on rain-affected ground is unproven and the draw is a shade wide for a leader.
However, she has never raced at today's level and has no runs on a rain-affected track, both genuine unknowns that temper her claims.
The Lupercal was competitive at this same track last start and carries the forward racing pattern that Grafton rewards most.

However, the running style is the concern - this track's data shows a heavy bias toward leaders and on-pace runners, and back markers have a poor record here. Still a leading each-way hope on ability, but the map works against a repeat of last start's sprint.
Who Loves A Harley is progressive, with a strong closing effort last start when narrowly beaten. The barrier sets up a handy forward position on a track that rewards it, and the form trend is clearly pointing up. Not yet proven at the winning post, but shapes as one of the more reliable each-way hopes in an open maiden.
Jennibelle produced the standout effort in the race last start at this circuit, leading throughout and only getting run down late. She looks the one confirmed leader in a field short of speed, and this track leans heavily toward forward runners. The wide gate is a genuine query, but her sharp early speed should let her cross over.
Her only start was a competitive one from a good barrier, and she gets another nice draw today.

Team Aidan Markets @ CRJC 22 November Hcp (C2)
Hard As Brok has been racing honestly, placing behind quality rivals at Ipswich and Beaudesert with efforts that stack up against this field. His only poor run came with a since-explained veterinary issue, and he has resumed cleanly with a trial win.
Copenhagen Cat has been racing right up to a winning standard, finishing narrowly beaten at this track last start and placing well on soft ground before that. She tends to settle back in the field, which isn't the ideal profile at a track that rewards forward runners, but her recent form suggests she remains competitive against this grade.
Why Wait built early credentials with back-to-back wins before finishing midfield in much stronger city grade at Doomben, a run that reads better than the bare finishing position. Back in Country Class 2 and fitted with forward tactics into a track that strongly rewards on-pace runners, she looks the one to beat. The Dunn/Mallyon axis is in outstanding form at this circuit, reinforcing the form case.
Picupstixx draws to lead or work forward from gate one into a track that heavily rewards on-pace runners, and he owns solid course-and-distance form to back it up. His recent runs at shorter trips were disappointing, but a strong effort at Casino in similar company suggests ability remains.

Herald Angel has been racing to a consistent, high standard, finishing second last start and winning two runs back, and has never missed a place in three career starts on soft ground.

Tabulam Cup 3 October (Bm58)
Sunset Trail is the quickest to begin in this field and drawn to cross and lead, which is precisely the running style Grafton rewards at this trip. His last-start fourth in stronger company was full of merit after dictating terms, and he already owns a soft-ground win around this course over a very similar distance. With the gate to control the race in a moderately run affair, he rates the most likely winner on what he's shown.
Vendemmia is punters' pick after winning at this track and grade last start with this same rider aboard. But he's a genuine backmarker drawn wide at a track that leans heavily on forward-placed runners over this trip, and he now tops the weights while stepping up in distance.
Doingiteasy steps up for his second run of the preparation for a stable with one of the best strike rates at Grafton. His first-up fourth in this grade at this track was solid, and barrier two lets him race forward into what shapes as an even-tempo affair. He looks the leading each-way hope behind the on-pace types.
Lolita's standout form line is a win over this course, distance and going only a month ago, finishing that race off strongly.
