Summer Vibe brings the strongest credentials among the debutants with Matt Hoysted and Boris Thornton combining at a 25% strike rate. The horse has shown enough trialling to sprint well fresh, and barrier 5 provides a perfect spot to settle handy. The heavy track introduces unknown, but the inside draw and likely positive map make it the horse to beat.

If She Dares has been ultra-consistent in jump-outs, never missing a place. The Munce stable is reliable and Cejay Graham knows the track. From barrier 6 she can land in the first half of the field and be finishing strongly. The heavy track is a test, but her trial on Soft 6 suggests some adaptability.
Now first-up after a break, the heavy going is an unknown.
Wild Butterfly is the forgotten runner with a genuine heavy-track trial win at this track. With many untested on wet, her Soft 7 trial success offers a crucial pointer. Drawn well and lugging only 55.5kg, she can roll forward and take catching.

Montesquieu brings the most reliable maiden form, having placed in both his starts beyond 1300m, including a narrow third on rain-affected ground. He maps to lead or sit handy, and the step to 2200m with blinkers off could unlock further improvement.
Neighthan has shown enough in two starts to suggest he can be competitive. He may be the improver over 2200m.
I'm On Fire's strong placing at this track last time and his superior closing speed give him claims.
Luminized has shown enough at a similar level to be competitive, especially on rain-affected going. From barrier 2 he can sit on the speed and control the race.

Difronzo maps as a likely leader from a moderate draw, a major positive at a track where on-pace runners hold an edge. His soft-track placing and the booking of Ryan Maloney (flying in recent weeks) boost confidence. The blinkers being removed may help him settle first-up, and in a very weak maiden his forward style gives him the best winning chance.
Moshulu Spirit has the best raw form credentials but faces a horror scenario at Sunshine Coast. Drawn wide and likely to settle back, the track's position-dependent profile works strongly against him. He can place but is no value to win.
King Chance is a roughie with a sliver of hope. The inside gate can see him race much closer to the speed than usual, and his most recent run was an improved 6th.

Overoptomystic produced a strong debut second at Warwick on soft going, beaten less than a length. From barrier 4, he can lead or sit handy and map perfectly for a track that favours those in the first three at the 400m.
Though she races back in the field, an inside gate gives her a chance to avoid traffic. Second up, she should be fitter after a solid fourth and rates a strong winning chance.
She placed in three of six starts but draws wide, which is a major negative at Sunshine Coast. With a soft track, her only placing was on soft, so she handles it. However, she'll need luck from the gate.
Bonnie Bouquet has an impeccable soft track record with two placings from two attempts. Her jockey excels at Sunshine Coast and she drops in weight.

Miss Mclaren has been a soft-track revelation, with two authoritative wins on rain-affected ground. Her last-start fifth in stronger company was honest and she drops back to Class 2 where she can sit off a likely hot tempo and unleash her finishing burst.
Impact Zone is a genuine wet-track improver who gets the perfect set-up from the inside lane. He can lead or sit handy and has the racing pattern to hold off challengers if he gets a soft lead.
Point Vega brings the best raw form to the race, including a local track/distance win and a BM65 victory in town. The glaring unknown is the soft track, which he has never encountered.
Sapphire Reign franked her soft-track ability with a game all-the-way victory here last start. Although drawn awkwardly, the expected fast tempo should suit her run-on style.

Hahn (Bm58)
Uluwatu maps to lead from barrier 1 over the speed map, and she brings a class edge from her recent Bench 65 effort. Second-up record is a slight query, but the class drop and ideal map make her the horse to beat.
Dreamwriter comes off a clear win and has fresh legs after a brief let-up. She is drawn slightly awkward but can settle forward; her form around this distance is strong and she has handled rain-affected ground. If she gets a comfortable trip just off the leader, she will be a major threat.
Trevatt Court boasts a genuine track and distance record, and she drops sharply in grade. The wide gate is a concern, but with a likely fast tempo she can storm home. The apprentice claim provides a feather weight, but she'll need luck to overcome the outside draw.
The concern is her poor second-up stats, but the raw speed she showed suggests she can feature at value.

Dropping sharply in class after a solid first-up third at Warwick, Red Code brings a class edge into this BM58. From barrier 4 he can sit just off the speed and prove hard to hold out. The Thompson/Pollard combination is a major positive, and his sole wet-track win suggests he'll handle conditions. Expect improvement second-up.
Busker looks the natural leader and his record at Sunshine Coast over 1400m — where he broke his maiden — entitles him to respect. He's been honest without winning of late but is well placed to run a big race if allowed to roll in front.
A thoroughly consistent performer who rarely runs a bad race. Drawn the inside alley, he should enjoy a soft run just behind the speed. One for exotic players.
He'll race on the speed from barrier 10 and can be stubborn to pass.

XXXX (Bm68)
Out Of Turn boasts a strong soft‑track profile and maps perfectly from barrier 2. He was narrowly beaten in a Cl3 at this track last start and appears well placed despite the distance query. With good tactical speed and a favourable track bias, he is the most likely winner.
Ikasara drops sharply in grade from metropolitan Group and Listed contests. His best would win this, but his overall record is modest and the soft ground remains a slight query. From an ideal barrier, he can control the tempo and prove hard to catch.
Lyneham is a promising colt who maps to get the run of the race from gate 1. His first-up effort on a wet track was solid, and with natural improvement second up, he looms as a strong each-way chance in a race lacking depth.
His recent runs have been against decent BM68 company, and he is often underestimated.

Bodhran is a progressive 3yo filly who relished soft going when winning here last time. Her prior heavy track placings at the venue prove she handles rain-affected ground. Drawn to settle just behind the speed, she can exploit the track bias that favours runners in the first half of the field. The only question is the 1600m trip, but her maiden win was over 1700m and she looks ready for it at this level.
Cantarito is the most consistent runner in the field but has struggled to win out of turn. From a perfect barrier she maps to get a soft run just behind the leaders, and her soft-track form (8:1-1-2) stacks up.
Stranglehold is the logical leader from the inside gate and could prove hard to catch if allowed to dictate. His recent Class 1 win at the Gold Coast was solid, and he brings a 33% strike rate. The big queries are the wet track and the step up to 1600m under top weight.
Kaazi brings two wins at this trip on rain-affected going, and he drops sharply in class. The wide draw is the main hurdle, but if Jett Newman can slot him in midfield or take a sit, he possesses a strong finish.
