Royal Princess has placed twice over 1600m and should appreciate the step up to this trip second up. Her first-up run was disappointing but she may have needed it. She's drawn well and gets a solid jockey.

He's been competitive in his last two starts, including a close 3rd behind a subsequent winner. The tongue tie addition and Ben Looker's strong Scone record add further positives. In a weak maiden, he profiles as the most likely winner despite the wide draw.
Audaciously Frank ran an excellent 2nd on debut over 1600m at Kembla, suggesting he's ready to win. However, he has no wet-track form and this is his first look at heavy ground. He's the main danger but not the top pick given the unknown surface.
Fined For Speeding is the value play in a thin maiden. He has a solid heavy-track run at Narromine (4th in a CL1) and consistent recent form including a 2nd at Warren. He's been placed multiple times and is overdue.

Home Missile produced a strong debut, just missing on Soft 6 at Goulburn. He draws barrier 2, giving Mitchell Bell every chance to hold a forward spot. The Annabel & Rob Archibald yard is reliable and the gelding has had a short freshen-up. The most solid winning chance in an open maiden.
From barrier 5 he should settle in the first four and be hard to run down. The main query is whether he can replicate trial form under raceday pressure, but he profiles as the biggest threat to Home Missile.
He now returns from a 200-day spell with Aaron Bullock aboard. The inside barrier is a plus for Heavy conditions and Bullock is in white-hot form. However, the long layoff and lack of wet track exposure are concerns.
Stormy Malice is a 18-start maiden with four placings, the latest a close 2nd at Corowa before a 351-day break. She returns with only 52kg and a first-up placing on her resume. The Heavy 8 may test her but she has placed on Soft. The gear change (blinkers off) is a slight negative, but the light weight and class relief make her an attractive roughie.

Yarraman Park Hcp (C1)
He ran second over this track and distance on soft in June, then second at Newcastle on heavy. Drawn wide but has early speed to cross and find a forward spot. The fast tempo suits his finish.
Angie's Sister is a proven wet tracker with a win on Heavy 9 and a third on Heavy 8. She gets a nice light weight and draws the inside, though barrier 1 can be tricky at 900m. Second-up she placed before.
Close To Midnight drops to Class 1 after racing in BM62/70 company, a clear class advantage. He's first-up but has a win from three fresh runs. However, he has never raced on heavy ground and carries 62kg – a tough ask on a wet track.
Issy's Star appeals as a first-up specialist (two seconds from two fresh runs) dropping in class from BM64. Andrew Gibbons rides well at Scone and has a good record with the Kris Lees stable. She placed over 900m on soft at Muswellbrook last season, suggesting she can handle the trip. The wide draw (11) is a challenge but she has tactical speed to find a forward spot.
She's first-up but that win came fresh.

Flaunter has been excellent in two starts, both placings at Scone on soft. She runs back to 1000m where she debuted with a strong second. Mitchell Bell rides him again and has a superb record at this track. The heavy ground is a query but her soft form suggests she'll handle rain-affected going. In a weak maiden, she looks the most reliable winning chance at nice each-way value.
Bullock and Crockett combine for a 35% win rate. The outside barrier (11) is actually a positive given Scone's heavy bias where wide draws win at 50%. The risk is the lack of race experience, but in this moderate field, he can win fresh.
That run rates well for this grade. He should be fitter second-up and from barrier 3 can take a handy position.
The outside barrier is actually a huge plus given Scone's heavy bias where barriers 13+ win at 50%. Johnston is riding with great confidence.

Scone RSL (Bm58)
Ocean Tsunami has been ultra-consistent, finishing second in two straight BM58 1700m races at Scone, including behind Maples last time. Her form is solid, she maps well from barrier 5, and Izzy Neale is riding well. The only query is heavy track (0 from 1), but she has placed on soft. She looks the most reliable winning chance despite the wet ground query.
The Great Armada is a heavy track specialist with two wins from four starts on the surface. He can lead this race and control the tempo, which is advantageous on a heavy Scone track that favours on-pacers. He won impressively two starts back at Cobar over 1700m and followed with a solid third.
Caledonian ran an excellent third in this same race last start on Soft7, beaten less than a length. He has placed in heavy conditions before and carries only 58.5kg. The wide barrier is a concern, but he has the form and wet-track ability to feature again.
Yorikiri is a heavy track specialist with three wins from 14 starts on the surface, the best in the race. He drops in class after running in BM66 and Open company and can bounce back after a poor run last time. The class drop and wet track are major positives.

Live To Rise comes off a strong 3rd at Tamworth in BM82 company and drops sharply in class for this Class 3. She races on-pace, which is favoured at Scone, and carries just 55.5kg after the apprentice claim. The lack of heavy-track experience is a concern, but her soft-track form (1 win, 1 place from 5 starts) suggests she'll handle it.
Kakoda is an improving filly who won a BM58 convincingly last start on soft ground. The class rise is a big step up, but she gets a light weight and a good barrier. More a place chance than a win threat.
The only question is the Heavy 8, but he handled Soft 7 easily last start.
Capsity is the value overlay. Second up from a spell with Mitchell Bell aboard (24% with the stable), she should improve sharply from her first-up 6th. The class rise is a concern, but her win at Scone last preparation shows she can handle the track.

Aberdeen Highland Games (Bm66)
Arapawa is perfectly suited by the heavy track and distance, having won at Scone on Heavy 8 over 1400m two starts back. His recent Randwick run in a BM72 was solid and he now drops to BM66.
Talkachino comes off two excellent heavy track runs at Dubbo, winning on Heavy 9 then placing on Heavy 8. He has two wins from seven starts at 1400m and the Jacob Stiff/Mulholland combination is in good form.
Splash Of Steel broke maiden impressively last start over 1400m on soft ground and has previously placed on heavy at Scone. The class rise is a query but he has the talent and a good draw to be competitive for a place.
She has placed on heavy and is bred to appreciate the trip.

Upper Hunter Counrty Tourism Hcp (C1)
Rockthevelio brings the strongest wet-track credentials after a dominant maiden win on Heavy 8. Barrier 1 and a moderate tempo map favour her forward style. She looks the most likely winner in a moderate Class 1.
Oakfield Missouri has done everything right at Scone, winning a maiden then running second in a similar Class 1. The step to 1300m on heavy is a query but his tactical speed should keep him in the race. Represents solid each-way value.
Turning Circle is the value play among the top chances. If the tempo is genuine, her finish will be dangerous.
She ran well at Newcastle on soft and is building a solid resumé.
