Saisoku is the most reliable runner on form, having been placed in his last two starts at around 2000m after racing prominently. He should sit just off a lone leader in a slowly run race, which suits.

The Country Comfort Mdn
She finishes fast, but she will likely be near last in a slowly run race at a track that favours on-pace runners. She has also never won in ten starts.
Mystacheeno will race near the speed from a good draw and is a threat if the pace stays slow. He is winless, though, and has weakened late over 2000m.
She's Some Craic should lead with little pressure in a slowly run race, and Northam favours on-pace runners. Her record is poor, with no wins in 19 starts, and she is stepping up well beyond her best distance.

The Form Weekly Hcp (C3)
Wiluna Lass is the likeliest winner on form. She is the only genuine leader in a moderate-pace sprint at a track that favours on-speed runners. She has won two in a row, handles Good ground and the 1000m, and gets a light weight with an in-form jockey.
Star Martini has been placed in her last four starts and has the early speed to sit on Wiluna Lass's back or share the lead. She has a good record with this jockey and trainer. Her wins have come in maiden or Heavy-track company, and she has not won on Good ground.
She needs a faster tempo than is expected.
Mantua is the value runner. He has been running well, was third last start, and ran a very good race over 1000m at Belmont against Class 3 company. He needs the leaders to tire to finish over the top, so he is mainly an exotics or place play.

Happy 80th Birthday Rocket Chilcott Mdn
The clear form standout. Snow Monkey ran two excellent placings in stakes races early in the year and drops into a maiden against rivals who have never run near that standard. She settles handy from a good barrier and should be able to sit just off the speed that two leaders will provide.
A consistent filly who has been in the first few in her better runs and has since won a barrier trial. She is likely to sit on the pace from a workable gate and has the profile to hold on when others tire.
Ran a creditable second at Kalgoorlie over this trip and gets a nice draw to sit handy. The form translates well to Northam's style of racing and he looks the best of the on-pace brigade. Trainer's lean run is a worry but he has the map to run into a place at least.
Finished solidly on debut and followed up with a convincing trial win. Needs a genuine tempo to run over the top of them and the two likely leaders can provide that.

Talk To A Mate Mdn
A debut trial win, a Blue Point speed pedigree, a good gate and a combination with a decent record add up to the most likely winner in a modest maiden. Fast tempo with the draw should see him travel in a good spot.
The best-credentialed of the experienced runners. Beyond A Doubt has been close in all his starts and his recent runs have been up to winning standard. A genuine two-leader pace should suit his strong finish, and he has settled midfield before.
A reliable placed runner who has not found the winning post. One Last Resort has run second in most starts and has returned well from a trial. The speed on offer in this race should help him find a rhythm, but he needs the leaders to come back.
Bella Roccia was an eye-catching second on debut, running home powerfully from the back, and a genuine two-leader tempo gives her a similar scenario. The draw on the fence will help her save ground.

Procon Development (Aust) Northam Cup – Sunday 25 Oct Mdn
She gets barrier 1, a light weight and a prominent position in a race that suits handy runners.
Her recent barrier trial form is good and she has a comfortable draw.
Levati Dimezzo has been competitive in tougher company than this, finishing second twice, and her runs consistently stand up well against this field. A fast tempo should suit her midfield style and she should finish well.
Coastal Dream won her barrier trial and arrives fit, drawn well in barrier 4, with a trainer in good form and a capable Northam jockey. She has the profile of a fit first-starter who could run into a placing or better.

She just failed to hold on at Northam over this trip last start and her earlier efforts have been consistently strong for the grade. A very fast tempo should bring her late run into play.
He ran a strong third last start in blinkers and finished well. He is second up and looks to be getting better. Barrier 8 gives him a chance to find a handy spot and he can work into the race behind a hot pace.
A young filly who showed real improvement at Kalgoorlie, finishing fast from the back and was beaten only a short way. She gets the inside barrier and a light weight. Genuine tempo should give her a chance to run on.
His second at Northam over this trip, when he led and was run down, was one of the better runs among this field. He is unlikely to lead from barrier 9, but a hot pace will give him a chance to come home.

Quick Cookie is the best fit on form and map. She ran second at Northam last start, leading throughout and holding up well at this level. She now gets a handy trip from barrier 4 at the lightest weight of the contenders.
She's A Splinter has the best raw ability in the race and is dropping sharply in grade. The concern is her back-of-field style on a track that favours handy runners in a moderately run race. She needs luck from the back, so she is a strong place chance and a danger rather than the top pick.
He carries top weight, is a backmarker, and has to settle behind a moderate pace on a track where handy runners win most. His last run was a good one, so he is respected for a place.
Empire Of Rome won over this course and distance last start and is clearly improving. He steps up in class but has a good barrier and should sit in midfield, close enough to the pace. He is a sound each-way option.

Avon Valley Toyota FOTF – Sunday 25 Oct Hcp (C5)
Lieutenant Dunbar is the best fit on form and map. He should lead or sit just behind the speed from barrier 2 in a moderately run race at a track that rewards on-pace runners, and his recent efforts include a win last start and consistently strong times. He carries a light weight, has won at Northam and handles the surface.
Against that, he now carries 2.5kg more than when winning and won't get a front-running trip in a moderate tempo.
Too Much Talk is a consistent type who should settle handy and has a strong record with Lucy Fiore aboard. He ran a solid third last start at a comparable grade, so the class is no issue, and he handles Good ground. Top weight and a cold stable limit him, but he should be in the finish if the race unfolds in a moderate tempo.
Pat's Last Bang is a clear front-runner with a track bias currently favouring leaders. He has led and been narrowly beaten at several recent starts, and a light weight helps.
