The form horse of the race. She jumps and lands in the first few, exactly where you need to be at Kyneton, and from gate four she should stalk the leader and be strong through the line.

Carlton Draught Mdn Plate
Lightly raced Waller filly who resumes here off a Bendigo fourth that reads as the strongest last-start run in the field - she was well back on the turn and still hit the line hard. Second-up with a soft gate and a rider who knows this track, she should be able to settle much closer than she did last start.
A class dropper from a Randwick two-year-old handicap into a Kyneton maiden, which is a significant drop in grade. He gets back in the field, however, and barrier ten around this track means he will need luck to slot in.
Third-up and on the improve. His Kilmore third over 1450m was a genuinely useful on-pace effort after being forced wide early, and he kept giving to the line. That profile - jumps, travels and keeps finding - is precisely what Kyneton rewards, and his trainer has a fine record at this venue.

Woodside Park Mdn Plate
The clear form runner. She has been placed in all three starts, twice beaten only narrowly at this distance, and has the speed to lead from a wide gate. Kyneton favours handy runners and she should be hard to beat in a weak maiden.
A debutant from a stable that wins often with this jockey.
A genuine on-pace type who has run second at this distance and is racing second-up. Barrier 13 makes it hard, but the pace on and the race should favour handy runners.
A reliable placegetter with a good barrier who has been competitive in recent maiden plates. She probably lacks a winning turn of foot, but should run into a place.

Hygain Mdn Plate
He drops sharply in class from a two-year-old Open Handicap and ran a close second at Moe over a similar trip, leading and fighting on. He has been readied with two jumpouts, draws well in seven, and maps to settle handy in a race where on-pace runners are favoured.
He draws ideally in barrier six and should be competitive if he brings his jumpout form to race day. With no race experience there is obvious risk, but the stable confidence and good draw make him a top-three contender.
A fit, consistent three-year-old who has finished third at both outings with even, reliable efforts. He races on the speed, and at Kyneton that is where you want to be, while his trainer's record here is a genuine plus. The step up to 1218m is the query but his style suggests it will suit.
A consistent mare with three placings from four starts, including two close efforts over further in heavy ground. She has early speed and should settle handy, which suits Kyneton. Her trainer has a good record here and she won a recent jumpout. The wide barrier 13 is a concern and she is first-up after 81 days, but her exposed form and on-pace style give her a strong each-way chance.
He ran a much-improved third at Swan Hill over 1200m on good ground last start, settling off the pace and running on. He draws well in barrier four, has Damien Thornton riding, and gets a tongue tie first time. His two earlier runs were plain, but he is third-up and appears to be finding form.

Sole Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Bm56)
Kamezali produced the strongest last-start performance in this field when charging home for second at Manangatang. She drops out of tougher recent company and has the stable's sole runner with John Allen aboard. The top weight and midfield map are concerns, but her finishing effort was clearly the best on offer and she is the one to beat.
Please Me Do is the form horse, having won at Kyneton last start and run well from off the pace at her previous two. She is consistent and maps for a soft run from barrier one. However, a 4kg weight rise and her backmarker style are significant negatives on a track that heavily favours on-pace runners. She is a clear second pick.
She is respected but vulnerable.
Drops in grade and maps to be much closer to the speed, which is precisely what this course favours. A regular place-getter with a jockey who goes well at Kyneton, she can be in the firing line turning for home.
Hidden Comfort is the value play. She drops in class and has placed fresh. However, she has no first-up wins, her stable is low on strike rate and her last prep was poor.

Evolve Interiors (Bm56)
He won in this grade last start at Echuca after sitting outside the leader and put the race away quickly — the strongest last-start run in the field. He's a winner here and at the trip, and today's map is perfect: with hardly any speed engaged he lands first or second, and on-pace runners dominate at Kyneton.
The clear second pick. A consistent on-pacer who has already won over this trip at Kyneton and gets the perfect map from gate two, with enough early speed to hold a spot in a race lacking tempo. Both trials have been sound and his jockey and trainer both fire at this track.
Drops out of stronger company and brings solid form from his last preparation, with two minor placings in this grade and a win at a similar level. He rolls forward and the slow tempo forecast helps him hold a handy position despite a wider gate.
The likely pacesetter and a horse who saves his best for this course, with a win and three placings from six starts here. He was honest first-up at Kilmore when third in this grade and gets a top rider on. The queries are real: no wins at the trip, a modest second-up record and gate ten meaning he must work to lead. If he gets an easy time in front he could steal it, but he is more a placing hope than a winner.
He's been racing in much stronger company and drops to a grade where he was beaten a lip earlier in the prep; he's also a course and distance winner and gets a three-kilo claim down to a winnable weight, with visors going on first time. The outside gate is a worry but with only eight runners he can find cover, and good ground is the unknown. Worth an each-way ticket.

bet365 Kyneton Cup Wed Nov 4 (Bm62)
Russian Front was impressive winning at Pakenham Synthetic last start, settling third and sprinting clear. The query is the switch back to turf, where his recent runs have been honest but not as dominant. From barrier eight he can settle midfield and be saved for a late run. He is a clear second pick.
Tempt The Gods ran a solid second at Ballarat last start, leading and kicking before being collared late. Barrier three should allow him to settle handy without doing too much work. He has placed in three of four starts on good ground, though he is yet to win on the surface.
She was a brave second at Kyneton over this trip last start, racing keenly outside the leader and fighting on well. Barrier one should let her settle handy, which suits a track that favours on-pace runners. She handles good ground and has been consistent, though this is a class rise and her win strike rate is modest. She is the safest winning chance.
Seeyou Raider appeals as the value runner. He led all the way to win at Kilmore last start and was strong through the line. The distance record is a plus and Kyneton rewards on-pace runners.

bet365 Same Race Multi (Bm62)
Mike's Hope was a brave second to Sound Of Jura at Swan Hill last start after settling back and covering ground. He meets that rival 3.5kg better off today and draws to settle closer. Kyneton favours on-pace runners and his midfield/handy style should suit. The jockey's cold spell is a concern but the form and weight swing make him the one to beat.
Lunar Force drops from Listed company to a BM62 and ran well for third at Geelong last start. He has the inside draw and a strong trainer/jockey combination. However, he may settle midfield and Kyneton favours on-pace runners. He is a place chance.
Tierra has a placing over this track and distance and should be able to use her early speed to cross from the wide gate. She drops in class and her on-pace style is a plus at Kyneton. Barrier 14 is a risk but she has the gate speed to mitigate it. She looks a solid each-way chance.
Frostration is a lightly weighted mare with solid recent form including a win two starts back. The step up to 1887m is a query but her breeding suggests she may stay.
