Drinkwise (Bm85)
Hidden Achievement is the class horse dropping significantly in grade. Was Group 1 placed at Eagle Farm last prep and now meets weaker. JMac stays on after riding last start, a strong intent signal. Barrier 8 is workable and the 3yo profile against older rivals at WFA-style weighting is appealing.
Recent 2nd at Eagle Farm and competitive 4th at Gold Coast show he's racing well. Class drop is significant.

Barrier 4 fits the Soft EF profile perfectly (top 6 at 400m winners).
J McDonald booking is a major positive intent signal.
Tiger Tie is a proven Eagle Farm 1000m horse (2 wins from 5 at track/dist) with an exceptional first-up record (3 from 4). Barrier 2 fits the Soft EF profile of settling in the first half. Fenlon knows the horse (3 from 11).
Soft form is strong (3 wins) and first-up profile is solid. Barrier 8 is workable on Soft EF (still in 1-8 preferred range).

Living Turf Premier''s Cup
G1-winning stayer who looked to be coming back into form with a solid third in last-start G3 at Doomben. Returns to his preferred trip of 2400m where he won the Metropolitan, and gets Mark Zahra. Barrier 10 is the main concern at Eagle Farm Soft but his class profile at this trip is the strongest in the field outside Middle Earth.
Middle Earth is the most logical winner. He returned to form with a dominant G3 win at Doomben last start over 2000m Soft 7, and the step up to 2400m suits a horse who placed in a Melbourne Cup (G1 3200m). The Maher stable is in excellent shape and barrier 5 is ideal at Eagle Farm Soft, where on-pace runners in the front 6 dominate. Topweight is the only concern but his class edge over most rivals is clear.
Recent form is below his best but his spring profile showed legitimate G2/G3 staying class with placings at 2400m+. Waller is a master with stayers and the soft track suits.

The Straight Sires'' Produce
Ace High progeny generally handle wet ground, mitigating the lack of soft-track exposure. Barrier 10 is workable from a stalking position with Rawiller's experience. The 1400m specialty is a genuine edge against rivals stepping out from sprint trips and gives him the strongest tactical platform.
Martist draws the ideal Eagle Farm Soft barrier in 4 with Mark Zahra retaining the ride at a stunning 75% strike rate with Gollan. The barrier swing alone is worth significant ground, and he settles perfectly into the carnival Soft profile of stalking position. Local stable Gollan thrives at Eagle Farm and the 1400m extension suits.
I Am Dirty arrives off a dominant Listed win at Doomben and gets the filly's 2kg allowance. She'll either need to do early work to find cover or sit very wide throughout.
Vantorix is arguably the form horse on paper - unbeaten in three including a Group 2 win at Doomben on Soft 7 just two weeks ago where he beat today's rivals Martist and Dream Roca.

Lord Mayor''s Cup
Strong place consistency (52%) and improving trajectory suggest he is running into peak form. Barrier 10 is workable with his tactical speed, and Neindorf has ridden him to multiple top finishes.
Tavi Time has elite credentials for this race - Group 3 winner with a 5-from-10 soft-track strike rate and runner-up in this same race last year on Heavy 8. Tommy Berry/Kris Lees is a 23% strike rate combination.
The Waller/JMD combination plus barrier 3 is the ideal Eagle Farm Soft profile. I rate him a genuine top-3 chance but not the most likely winner.
He has 8 top-5 finishes in his last 10 starts including a Soft 7 win at Gold Coast and runner-up in Open company at Doomben. Barrier 5 fits the Eagle Farm Soft 1-8 ideal zone, and his consistent place strike rate (52%) makes him a strong each-way proposition. At Group 3 level on a Soft track with carnival volatility, he's a legitimate roughie.

Mullins Lawyers Fred Best Classic
Brave Monarch presents as the most reliable winning profile in a deep, volatile carnival race. Five wins from seven starts including back-to-back Eagle Farm victories at Listed and Group 2 level (latter over 1600m on Heavy 8) demonstrate elite progression. Track/distance record is 2 from 2, and barrier 5 fits the Soft-track prime zone perfectly. Map projects him into the ideal 4-6 position by the 400m.
Beadman bounced back with an emphatic Group 3 win at the Gold Coast over 1200m two starts ago and ran a creditable 5th in G1 at Doomben last start when held up. Snowden has him peaking through the carnival and he profiles as a strong threat capable of winning if maps land.
Talent may overcome map but confidence tempered. Parr riding in form (20% recent strike).
Previously won at Eagle Farm over 1400m on Soft 5 - proven track/distance/condition profile. Second-up record is 1 from 2 with a win. Class drop from G1 contests is significant.

Sky Racing Queensland Derby
Providence shapes as the standout staying contender with proven Group form at 2500m (5th in VRC Derby) and an excellent recent placing at G3 level at Doomben. James McDonald takes over for stable, and the gelding has been working into races strongly. Barrier 8 fits the Eagle Farm Soft profile (1-8 preferred), and the 2400m suits perfectly. Most reliable winning chance in an open Group 1 staying race.
Monopolistic is a progressive Waller-trained stayer with 3 wins from 7 starts and strong wet-track form. The Gosford win last start over 2100m showed staying quality, and the 2400m step up should suit. Concerns are barrier 17 (Eagle Farm Soft favours 1-8) and a sharp class rise to G1. However, the upside profile and stable confidence with Melham booking warrant strong respect. Place security solid.
Tom Sherry returns having ridden him in his G1 appearance. With handy settling pattern and ideal draw, he fits the Eagle Farm Soft winning profile perfectly.
Tom Sherry has ridden him to his best G1 effort. Strong each-way play.

Ladbrokes Kingsford Smith Cup
Private Eye gets every chance from barrier 2 which is the prime draw on Eagle Farm Soft tracks. His closing 3rd at Randwick behind Group 1 quality flagged he was ready to peak this prep, and the second-up profile (3 wins, 1 placing from 10) is strong. Nash Rawiller stays aboard a proven Group 1 winner with elite Soft-track credentials. Maps to settle 4-6, ideal carnival profile.
Class horse with elite Group 1 credentials and a strong Soft-track record. The Maher/Brown combination is a major positive, and his last-start 4th in the Doomben Group 1 was a perfect platform. Class can override map, but he gives Private Eye a clear tactical edge.
Top-class mare gets the weight relief and JMac stays aboard which signals stable confidence. Her second-up record is excellent and Soft-track form is strong. However, barrier 15 is a significant negative on Eagle Farm Soft, and 1300m is on the short side of her preferred range. Place chance very strong with sneaky win hope if pace collapses.
His Hyeronimus partnership has been outstanding (4 wins from 7). Class drop from genuine Group 1 form lines makes him a strong value play. Maps to settle midfield and unleash that powerful closing burst into the long Eagle Farm straight.

Magic Millions Helen Coughlan Stakes
Midnight In Tokyo is a Listed-grade Soft-track specialist with proven Eagle Farm credentials. Her 14:5-3-2 record on Soft tracks fits the Soft 7 conditions perfectly, and her second-up record (7:3-0-2) is elite. Maloney sticks and the on-pace map suits today's profile of front 3-6 at the 400m.
Niance is a proven Listed/Group performer with an outstanding 50% career strike rate and excellent wet-track form (3 from 5 on Soft). Second up she's been 2 wins from 4 with a placing. The last-start failure at Morphettville from barrier 15 carrying 59.5kg is excusable. Barrier 11 is a concern but her tactical speed should overcome it. Fits the on-pace Eagle Farm Soft profile.
Super Smink drops from Group 1 to Listed grade where her form sits more comfortably. Group 2 winner over 1400m last spring and has placed in Listed/Group 3 races at 1200m. Soft-track record is solid 2 from 5. The recent Group 1 efforts in SA are excusable on class. Melham booking is a positive sign.
She has previously won at the track on Soft 5 carrying 60.5kg. Last-start 3rd in Listed grade at Doomben was solid. The barrier 3 draw is ideal for the Eagle Farm Soft profile (winners come from front 6 at the 400m). Harley's 25% strike rate for the Munce stable adds confidence.
