Won For Vicki is the most reliable form runner in the field with two placings from three starts including a second at Moruya. Despite the moderate jockey stats, her proven track and condition suit make her the most likely winner.

Mitre 10 Moruya Mdn Plate
First-up from an extended spell, her recent barrier trials (3rd on Soft 5 at Kembla) suggest she is forward enough to run well. The booking of in-form jockey Jean Van Overmeire combined with barrier 3 gives her an ideal midfield run. She is a serious threat if she can replicate her best form.
Xtrascent brings solid consistency with two seconds from three starts and a on-pace running style that suits Moruya. The main concern is his lack of form on soft ground, as all performances have been on good or synthetic. He is likely to lead but may struggle to sustain if conditions test him. Still, he is the main danger to the top picks and can fill the minors.
Lookin' Suave Harv is an unraced debutant with a tidy trial second on Soft 7 at Sapphire Coast. The key factor is Adrian Layt's remarkable 50% win rate with trainer Tash Burleigh, indicating stable confidence. While debutants are inherently risky, the stable intent and favourable draw make him an interesting value play against the more exposed runners.

Swan Plumbing (Bm58)
Chemtrail drops sharply from Randwick Class 3 company to a Moruya BM58, a massive class advantage. He was poor last start but that was first-up; second-up his record reads a win from two attempts. Barrier 1 gives him every chance to settle on the speed and exploit the track bias. The main concern is the weight and last-start failure, but if he runs anywhere near his Randwick second, he wins.
Dubbo Boy comes off a strong win at Warren on a Soft 7, beating a similar field. He has shown he can handle soft going and has placed at Moruya previously. The top weight of 62.5kg is a query but he carried 60.5kg to victory last time. Drawn barrier 2, he should roll forward and give a bold sight. He is the main form rival to Chemtrail.
The addition of blinkers could be the key, and she already knows how to win at Moruya. The wide barrier is a slight concern but Jean Van Overmeire is riding well.
Nabha is a fascinating runner stepping way down in grade after contesting a BM64 at Kensington and a Listed race previously. She won her maiden on debut and appears to have ability. The wide barrier is a concern but she has early speed to cross. She is the value play.

He maps to settle mid-field and run on strongly.
He will likely lead or sit on pace and prove hard to run down if handling the soft ground. Unproven on the surface but the map is ideal. Worth an each-way ticket.
Zougotme is the most experienced and consistent runner with multiple placings on soft tracks. Despite barrier 14, Brock Ryan is riding at a 15% strike rate and can position midfield. Likely to run well and should be hard to beat in this moderate maiden.
She has placed twice on soft tracks and comes off a spell. The wide draw is a negative but she has overcome similar before.

Rockabye Roxy returned a strong second on a soft track first-up, beaten a fraction, and now second-up with Shaun Guymer engaged. She maps to settle midfield and can build momentum into the bend, suiting Moruya on soft. The slight gear change and trainer/jockey form add confidence. She is the most likely winner.
Passing Through has been knocking on the door with consistent top four finishes including a recent third on soft. Barrier 4 allows a cosy run just off the speed, which is ideal at Moruya. She handles the distance and has the class to feature. The main query is the jockey's recent form, but the horse's consistency makes her a strong place prospect.
Barrier 3 and the ability to settle on the speed suit the Moruya soft pattern. He is inconsistent but when right, he competes.
The Bus caught the eye with a good second on a soft track at Sapphire last preparation. He returns second up after a poor synthetic run which can be forgiven. Jean Van Overmeire is in red-hot form and partnered this horse well. Each-way value.

O''Briens Plumbing Country Boosted (Bm58)
Olington Lane is the clear form pick with two wins from three starts, including a debut win on Soft 7. He steps up from maiden/class 1 company but has the upside of a 3yo with a sharp turn of foot. The 1425m is a slight query but he maps to settle midfield from barrier 5 and should be strong late.
London Boy has been a model of consistency with four straight top-4 finishes, including 3rd placings at Canberra Acton, Warren, and Albury. The main knock is that all four career wins have come on synthetic and he is yet to break through on turf. However, he has placed on soft and looks ready to win a BM58. Good each-way value.
Caravanserai is a class dropper having raced in BM66 company recently, and his form at Moruya is excellent with three placings from three attempts. He ran a solid 2nd over this track and trip two starts back. However, he has a poor record on soft ground (0-5) and that is a major concern given today's Soft 5. Barrier 14 also makes it tough. He is a place chance if the track plays genuinely, but hard to trust for the win.
He won well at Bathurst last start over 1400m in BM58 company and prior to that he ran a close 2nd at Moruya on Soft 6 over 1425m. He handles the going and has a strong record at the distance.

Mollymook Coolrooms (Bm58)
Beauer drops significantly from BM66 grade and is well-drawn to take up a prominent position from barrier 5. Jockey Van Overmeire is in blistering form and the horse placed third over track and distance last October. The lack of soft-track wins is a concern, but class relief and the slow tempo should allow him to control the race. He's the most reliable chance.
His only second-up start resulted in a maiden win on soft. However, he carries top weight and has no experience at Moruya. The slow tempo may force him to work early, and rider form is poor. Still a chance, but not a certainty.
Tod showed promise winning his maiden at Moruya on soft and has a strong second-up record. The wide barrier is a concern but he has early speed to cross and sit just behind the pace.
Peruno is a Moruya warhorse who maps perfectly from barrier 3 to sit on pace and exploit the slow tempo. He ran third last start on a soft track and has won at this track and distance before.

Acheson profiles perfectly for this Soft Moruya race: strong wet-track credentials, proven first-up performance, and a class drop from Open company. Despite the wide barrier, he has the gate speed to hold a forward position.
Remadosi is a genuine soft-track performer who has shown she can win fresh. Her placed effort in a BM75 on a soft track indicates she is up to this class. The 1200m is a slight query given her form is over further, but she has the tactical speed to sit just off the speed.
Trainers can have them ready fresh, but he is more a risky proposition than a reliable winning chance. Place prospects are strong if he handles conditions.
Despite a poor last start, Getty has the profile that often wins at Soft Moruya: inside barrier, on-pace style, and proven wet-track ability.

Second-up from a spell after a fair first-up run at Albury. Previously placed at Nowra on Soft 6 and maps to settle just behind the speed from barrier 4. The Snitzel mare is trained by Matthew Dale and gets Dale Cole in the saddle.
Consistent mare who has placed in her last two starts including a close second at Moruya on Soft 6. Shaun Guymer rides in excellent form. The main contender despite win concerns.
Pierre Boudvillain has a strong record with the Luke Pepper stable (5 wins from 25 rides).
Second-up from a spell after a fair 5th at Albury on Soft 6. He is a one-time winner on synthetic who may be finding his feet. From barrier 6 he can use early speed to hold a forward position.
