Are Ya There has been consistent in maiden company, placing in three of his last five starts including a close second at Clermont. From barrier 3 he can settle on-pace and should be in the finish.

Instigate is knocking on the door with two strong runner-up efforts at Julia Creek and Richmond.
Illtellyouafter races consistently and has the speed to be on-pace or just behind. Placed in her last two starts at Richmond and Julia Creek.
Lilii Borea returns from a spell with the best possible gate and a quality rider. Her best form on soft tracks suggests she can handle the dirt. While first-up records are mixed, the draw and jockey give her a big chance to run well at each-way value. Worth a small investment.

Wholelottalove showed good fitness returning with a 3rd first up over 800m and now second up with proven form over 900m. Chris Whiteley takes the reins and the horse has placed over this distance before. Likely to be in the finish.
Groove Jet has been consistent at Mt Isa with two seconds and a third from three starts. However, only one career win raises doubts about converting places into wins. Still a major player.
Outcast Soldier gets the services of top local jockey Jess Emmerson who has a 33% win rate at Mt Isa. He maps to lead with low weight and could prove hard to run down. Recent form is mixed but he has placed in similar company.
Pitleco Lass draws the inside and should lead this field. She broke her maiden two starts back at this track and followed with a solid 4th in Class B.

Wolf Point drops to Rest 50 after a close 2nd in Rest 55 at Julia Creek. Barrier 4 allows a handy midfield sit. Main concern is the jockey, but the horse is well placed and should be in the finish.
Has a win at this 1450m trip. Drops to Rest 50. Mitch Goring has a 20% strike rate at Mt Isa.
The Tyler is a Mt Isa regular with 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 8 starts at the track/distance. He has been running consistently (4th,4th,2nd) and drops to Rest 50. Barrier 3 and 59kg are favourable. He is a reliable place chance and could break through.
He drops from Class B to Rest 50.

City And Country Reality (Bm60)
Infinite Prince is the most appealing runner based on his outstanding Mt Isa record, ideal barrier, and consistent current form. He maps to get a soft run just off the speed and should be striking at the perfect time. The slow tempo suits his stalker style, and he has proven he can win at this track and distance.
Zouhope is the likely leader from barrier 1 and given the slow tempo should get every chance to control the race. He comes off an Open win at this track and has been in outstanding form. The weight is a query but he has carried similar before.
Lone Artist is a strong contender having already won a BM60 over this track and distance two runs ago. The main concern is the wide gate which could see him used early to cross, leaving him vulnerable if pressured. Still a leading chance.
Yalla is a consistent mare dropping from Open company and should appreciate the class relief. While she hasn't won recently, she maps well and gets light weight.

Miss The Music has been outstanding at Mt Isa with three wins and a second from four starts, including a Class 3 win here on June 6. He drops back to 1000m where he has a win from his only attempt, and barrier 5 gives him a handy position. The only concern is a poor run at Julia Creek last time, but that was at 1200m and he may have not handled the travel.
Whiskey River comes off a strong win in a Class B at this track, holding off rivals over 1200m. He drops back to 1000m where he has placed before, and gets the services of in-form jockey Jess Emmerson who has a 33% win rate at the track. The 54kg after the claim is a huge advantage and barrier 2 should allow him to sit just off the speed. He's a serious threat.
He ran well at Emerald last start finishing third over 1280m after a midfield run. He has the speed to lead or sit handy from barrier 4. However, he is yet to win at the 1000m distance and has never raced at Mt Isa, which are significant unknowns.
She draws barrier 1 which is a big advantage at Mt Isa, and she carries only 56kg. She steps up sharply in class from a Rest 50 win but showed she could handle it with a strong second at Stamford.

Viking Valour is the clear form horse with an impeccable Mt Isa record (3 wins from 5, all places). He maps perfectly from barrier 2, will be handy throughout, and comes off a sharp 2nd in a higher grade. The weight is a query but he's carried similar before.
Makanui is a genuine contender with a strong Mt Isa record including a last-start win over this track and distance. Nor Yadi gets on well with him. He maps to settle midfield but can improve before the turn.
She has a strong win rate and drops in class. However, she faces an unknown track at Mt Isa and a jockey in poor recent touch. If she handles the dirt, she can feature. Each-way value.
Bitterblue is a consistent Mt Isa performer with a 45% place rate at the track. He ran 2nd first-up over 1000m here last month and should benefit from that outing. The wide draw is a concern but he has enough early speed to be handy.

She Smashes is the most progressive runner in the race, boasting a strong recent record including wins at 1000m. She has the tactical speed to overcome a moderate class rise and maps perfectly from barrier 5. With low weight and a confident jockey, she is the clear form pick and likely winner.
Viburnum is a proven Mt Isa performer who can lead or sit handy. Despite the top weight, he has the class and recent form to be very competitive.
Last Ditch Effort thrives at Mt Isa and loves the 1000m. He was a close third here last start and has the local knowledge to make an impact.
The inside barrier is a massive plus at Mt Isa, allowing him to box seat or lead.
