Miss Informed has the most solid 1200m form line of the exposed maidens, with a third at Toowoomba and successive competitive runs at Beaudesert and Gold Coast. She maps well from gate 6 and gets a capable 2kg claiming rider who rides the track well. She may lack the raw class of Avgas but rates clearly the next-best winning chance.

Avgas is the clear form anchor. He comes off a creditable third in Open company at Rockhampton over 1200m, then drops dramatically to maiden grade. Placed in both career starts, he owns the strongest proven 1200m form in the field, draws the prized inside gate and should camp on the speed. The query is win-rate, but this is the most likely winner.
She faces a wider gate and a rise to 1200m on Good, but she should appreciate the extra trip and is from a stable operating at a 20% strike with Adin Thompson. Kilcoy's inside bias tempers enthusiasm, but her raw potential keeps her ahead of the rest.
Formal Affair is the value play. The spell is a query, but there is enough upside to make her the value selection.

Ladbrokes Place Extra (Bm60)
Trusty Bandit fits the Kilcoy winning profile: proven over this exact 1900m course, in form with a last-start third in BM70 grade, and drawn to be prominent. He returns to easier BM60 company and should be hard to beat. The main knocks are a cold jockey run and modest overall win strike rate, but his track-specific form gives him the edge.
O'caldino is a consistent staying type who has placed in both attempts over the Kilcoy 1900m and owns a better Good-ground record than many rivals. The query is his last-start failure, but his profile suits this venue.
Rainbow Glitter won her maiden over this exact 1900m track and trip in June and has returned with encouraging efforts, including a close second at Ipswich. She draws perfectly in barrier 2 and should get every chance from midfield. The knock is lack of Good-track evidence, but her low weight and fitness make her the best of the rest.
At the minimum weight and with fitness for the trip, he can take up a forward position in a fast-run race. Recent sprint form is poor, but this is exactly the scenario where his track/distance record gives each-way value.

Ladbrokes Big Bets Copy Now (Bm65)
Vacillation won at Gatton 11 days ago carrying 60kg and has been placed or better in seven of his last ten, a level of reliability that matters in a BM65 at a country track. Barrier 5 with genuine early pace suits a slow tempo where position at the 400m is the master signal at Kilcoy. Top weight is the only real objection.
The Kilcoy specialist. Three wins and a second from four starts here is the strongest course credential in the race, and his soft-track record of three wins from eight is genuine wet form rather than a tie-breaker.
The class and weight-relief runner. Against him are a wide gate, a jockey with no recorded association, and a career strike rate that reads more placegetter than winner. Solid each-way rather than a win proposition.
Invisible Target is the main threat despite the class query. He has key Kilcoy form, winning over this exact 1500m trip in January, and maps perfectly from barrier 2 with only 54kg. The track and distance edge plus low weight keep him firmly in the finish.
The value angle. Uluwatu owns the best wet-track strike rate in the field, with two wins and a second from seven soft-track runs, and drops slightly in grade off a Class 3 assignment. The blinkers coming off for the first time is a genuine attempt to settle her after two lacklustre efforts, and Jess Emmerson is in excellent form with two wins from five rides at Kilcoy.

Kilcoy Global Foods Mdn Hcp
The most likely winner on pure form. He handles soft ground, is proven well beyond 1500m, and draws to take up a handy position from gate 4 in a race with no genuine leader.
His Queensland preparation started poorly but last start's fifth over 1700m at Gold Coast showed clear improvement, and 1500m with genuine class relief at Kilcoy is a much easier assignment.
Brass Band is the most track-and-distance proven runner in the field, having finished second at Kilcoy over 1500m and put together four consecutive placings. He maps to hold a forward spot despite the wide gate and gets in very lightly at 53kg.
The only runner in the race with proven track-and-distance credentials, having placed twice from three starts over 1500m at Kilcoy including a third on Soft 5 in June with today's rider. She has the deepest wet-track experience of the field, drops to 54kg, and gets pacifiers off for the first time.

Ladbrokes Switch Hcp (C1)
Tartan Tiger is the most likely winner based on form and track fit. She has proven 1500m ability, a forward-running style that suits Kilcoy's strong on-pace bias, and recent CL1/Rest60 form that reads well before a forgive last run.
She has placed at the trip and in metro class, yet she is yet to win on turf and projects to settle midfield, a position that statistically struggles at Kilcoy on Good. She can hit the frame but is not the primary win selection.
Skieda represents strong each-way value. She is one of few runners with proven Good-track winning form, draws ideally in barrier 3, and has a powerful jockey/horse combination that has produced two wins. The class rise is a worry, but her positive racing style and ability to work into the race from a handy spot align well with Kilcoy's requirements.
Calvary is the value runner.

Australian Defence Force Raceday 23 August (Bm60)
Esprit Du Jour is the clear form anchor of the race, having placed in nine of her last ten starts and owning a superb 1200m profile. Her only knock is a winless Good-track record, but her consistency and map advantage make her the most likely winner.
Whispering Rogue drops markedly in class and maps to race handy from barrier 6, which suits Kilcoy's strong on-pace bias. His last-start failure is a concern, but he was placed in his two prior runs, including a solid third at Ipswich Open over 1200m. The stable and jockey are in reasonable form, and he rates the clear second pick on overall class.
He is inconsistent on paper but his best form is good enough for this BM60, and the inside barrier gives him every chance to hold a prominent position.
She has an excellent 1200m record with two wins and a place from three attempts, including a placing at this track and distance.

Exchange Hotel Kilcoy Hcp (55)
Copper Star's last-start third in BM58 company at Grafton reads as the best recent form in this R55. Copper Star maps forward from barrier 7 and is the most likely winner.
She has already won over this exact 1200m R55 trip at Kilcoy and barrier 2 gives her every chance to control the race from a forward spot. Her last-start fifth at Rockhampton was acceptable without being compelling, and her overall win strike rate is low.
Skellig Rock is a solid place chance. She comes off a third in Class 3 company, drops sharply to Restricted 55, and draws the inside third gate at a track that rewards forward runners. The concern is a 1-from-18 strike rate and no 1200m win in four attempts, which limits her to a place recommendation.
Duke Of Lancaster is the value runner. He has genuine 1200m credentials with three wins from fourteen attempts, plus solid Good-track statistics and a recent third in BM55 company. He maps well from barrier 5 and can be involved in the finish, making him an attractive each-way alternative to the top three.
