Wilson Project Group Country Boosted Mdn Hcp
The concern is his midfield-to-back running style against a strong on-pace bias, so he needs the two leaders to overdo it.
Bennelong Dreams progressed sharply from a wide-run Wagga debut to a strong Corowa third last start, getting back from gate 9 and running on. Today he draws better, is the quickest beginner in the field and should sit outside or just behind the leader on a track that heavily favours on-pace runners. Against a field of exposed maidens, his lightly-raced profile offers the most upside. 59kg and unproven Good-track form are the query, but he is the form top pick.
A genuine roughy with a real angle. She draws well and has shown enough early speed to sit in the first four, which is exactly where Corowa winners come from.

Corowa Chaff Mill Mdn Plate
The forecast fast tempo from Retrofit and Magic Royale counteracts Corowa's on-pace bias for him. Jockey statistics and the unproven Good-track record are the risks, but he remains the most likely winner in a weak maiden.
Aerialize maps perfectly for this track: barrier 1, on-pace style, light weight and a fast tempo up front to tow her into the race without doing the early work.
Dance The Boogie is a classic Hayes-stable country target: a filly whose Victorian maiden and Open 2yo form is stronger than anything this field has faced, now dropping to 53kg from barrier 4 in a weak Monday maiden. Her last-start ninth carried a hampered-at-the-300m excuse, and she has previously settled handy when allowed.

Naughtin Developments Group (Bm82)
Triptolemus is the lone speed in a six-horse field on a track that strongly rewards on-pace runners, is in career-best form with two straight front-running wins and gets a 5.5kg weight relief for the class rise. The step to 1600m and BM82 grade are real questions, but with an uncontested lead and a slow tempo he is the most likely winner.
Canny Hell is the logical main danger. The concerns are recurring slow starts and a 61kg burden in a race where the leader gets his own way.
Blazing Sword has the strongest track-and-distance credentials in the field, having beaten Canny Hell in the Corowa Open over this trip on Good 4 with Mc Dougall aboard. The trial win and narrow last-start defeat under 61kg suggest he has returned to form after a poor mid-year stretch.
Her on-pace style fits the Corowa bias and she is 4kg under the top weight.

Upton Centre Pivot Irrigation Country Boosted (Bm66)
Narcissist won this exact track/distance combination on Good 4 in May with Ramsbotham aboard, ran a strong BM74 second at Narrandera in July, and his Heavy 9 failure last start can be forgiven. He maps to sit second or third from barrier 3 in a fast tempo, which is the winning profile at Corowa. Most reliable runner in a volatile country BM66.
Her last two runs were close-up placings/near misses at BM66 level including a wide-gate effort at Moruya, and she gets an ideal on-pace map from barrier 5 with a strong trainer/jockey combination. The weight swing of 6kg against Narcissist is her strongest argument. The step up from BM58 wins to BM66 and Keatings' winless Corowa record temper confidence, but she is a solid each-way proposition.
He gets the run of the race as the leader from barrier 2 at a track where leaders and inside gates dominate sprints, and he has a strong Corowa record.

Hazel Park Racing Mdn Plate
The on-pace bias at Corowa is the main risk, but a very fast tempo from three weak leaders should compress the field and let the best finisher win. Blinkers first time and Mc Dougall's strong Corowa record are further positives.
Red Light Rachel has the right profile for Corowa: inside gate, early speed, and both her 1200m runs on Good ground produced thirds. She placed first up last preparation so fitness fresh is not a major worry, though the absence of a trial tempers confidence. Greenness and a habit of shifting under pressure are the risks.
Snitzel Tycoon is the obvious threat and the race-shape horse. She has been in the finish every start, maps to sit just behind the cheap speed from gate 6, and carries only 53kg. The concerns are real though: every start has been on Heavy ground so Good 4 is a genuine unknown, and the rider booking is a weak intent signal.
Lull Us Away is the overlay. She went down by a lip at Corowa two weeks ago from a similar on-pace position with barrier 1, and today draws gate 4 in the favoured inside group for a Corowa sprint. Small each-way play.

Barlens Event Hire Plate (C1)
A big class dropper who has been racing in BM72-82 company and was placed in Class 1 over this trip at Wagga. He is the standout on-pace runner from barrier 2 on a track that strongly favours leaders, and second-up he has won once from three.
Hold This has run in the placings at five of eight starts and mapped on speed when third in this grade at Corowa last start. A reliable each-way/placing option in a high-variance Class 1.
She maps second behind the leader on a leader-biased track and carries 57kg.

Campbells Wines, Rutherglen (Bm58)
The most reliable recent-form horse under the BM58 rule. Black Adam ran second at this track and grade a fortnight ago beaten half a length by Ozzy The Equaliser, having won at Berrigan the start before. He has the sharpest early speed in the field and draws barrier 4, so he will be in the front group throughout, which is where Corowa races are won.
Hellberg has won three of his five starts at Corowa and gets Brodie Loy, the hottest jockey in the region. He drops back from BM66 to a grade he has already won in at this track on Good ground. The problem is barrier 13 and a race shape with three leaders - if he has to burn petrol to cross, he may fold late as he did last start.
Form-based top pick. Spread The Love has been racing against BM66-BM74 company and placed at that level, so a return to BM58 with a proven Good-track record (2 wins from 4) is a significant class advantage. His second-up record is strong and his last-start fade came after being hampered on a Soft surface he handles less well. Maps to settle 4th behind a hot speed, which is Corowa's sweet spot.
Ozzy The Equaliser won this grade at this track a fortnight ago from a wide gate while racing wide throughout, beating Black Adam, Rain Queen and Zetalyn who all line up again. That is a fair concern, but he has shown he can win without cover here, the jockey who won on him stays aboard, and a very fast tempo from three leaders should see the race unfold for a horse settling midfield.
