With zero career starts and no trial data, Japanese Moka is assessed without penalty for absent form, per the debutant rule. Data limitations are real: run style and wet aptitude are unverified.
Bronx Brawler is the value runner. His Bendigo Heavy 8 trial, beaten a nose, is arguably the most encouraging pre-race evidence in the field, and he is ridden by the jockey with the best strike rate at this track. A Zoustar-Brooklyn Hustle pedigree points to genuine sprinting speed on soft ground.

He races on-speed from barrier 4, which is exactly the profile Hamilton sprints reward, and he has placed first-up before. Concerns are the 59.5kg, a modest jockey booking and that he keeps finding one better, but he is the most likely winner.
Stomping Ground is the logical map horse. His resuming 4th at Warracknabeal was competitive and he should improve second up with a 2kg weight edge over the older horses.
The problem is barrier 10 on a course where wide draws are heavily penalised in sprints - she will have to use petrol early to cross to the lead group.
Tikiela is a classic bias play rather than a form standout. She has been improving with each run this preparation, races on the speed, is proven on soft and heavy ground over 1100m and carries just 54.5kg. With only Cool Aza Breeze as another genuine leader - and that mare drawn wide - Tikiela can get a cheap lead from barrier 5 on a track where leaders have been winning a third of races.

She maps on-speed from a mid draw with 2kg less than the top trio, exactly the profile Hamilton's soft-track bias rewards.
Mister Solly ticks the bias boxes - genuine leader, barrier 5, wet-proven with three straight thirds. The step up to 1400m makes sense for a horse that keeps getting run down late at 1200m.
Terrestrial Light has the most upside in the race and elite connections for this grade - Wilde/Hill are 19% together and Hill is the leading rider at Hamilton. His debut second on Soft 7 and a solid fourth in a deeper Geelong Heavy 8 maiden read well against this field. The key concern is barrier 10 under a bias that punishes wide draws, forcing Hill to either burn early or accept a worse spot.
Her debut fifth was compromised at the start and again near the post, yet she made ground from last. The 4.5kg weight concession and Yendall booking are positives.

Walker's Earthworks Mdn Plate
Just My Lot is the most likely winner on pure form and map. Her heavy-track placings at Warrnambool are the strongest recent wet form in the field, and Meech is riding in career-best form.
Pete The Prophet has the second-best exposed mile form in the race with two narrow thirds at 1610m and 1755m, and the reunion with Ryan Hurdle at his preferred distance second-up is a logical upgrade. The concerns are real: he has never raced on rain-affected ground, the barrier is awkward, and his last two runs have been poor.
However, everything about the Hamilton profile works against him: he is a slow-starting backmarker drawn 11 at a track that heavily punishes that pattern, and he is stretching to a mile for the first time.
Glidingdeel is the one lightly raced runner with a form line that actually matches today's conditions: an on-pace third over 1600m on Heavy 8 at just his second start. In a field where most of the 10-1 to 30-1 chances are either unproven in the wet or confirmed backmarkers, his forward pattern is an edge. Small each-way.

Maxi Tankers (Bm56)
Form-based most likely winner. Her heavy-track 3rd last start is forgivable on a Heavy 9; the drying Soft 7 today suits far better.
Her last two in BM56 company on Soft 7 were sound and the track drying to Soft 7 or better is a plus. Held to second because she is yet to win on rain-affected ground, has racing manners questions and the mile remains unproven.
He was 2nd in a BM56 mile here in May, ran a close 3rd in BM62 last start, and drops in grade.

Finchetts Plumbing (Bm56)
Octahedron is the form horse for this exact assignment. He won this race distance at Hamilton on 1 August on a Heavy 10 sitting second, then ran a close second with 69kg before winning again at Casterton on a Soft 5 as the leader. The Hamilton bias is emphatic - front-runners and on-pacers dominate, backmarkers have not won a staying race in the sample - and he maps to settle 2nd with a rider who has won on him here.
Hoodys Horse is the likely leader and that alone makes him a serious player at Hamilton, where leaders win nearly 29% of races and the bias intensifies in the wet. He has won here over 2200m and his wet-track record is sound, with recent placings in stronger BM62 company. The concerns are 62kg top weight, a modest jockey booking with no wins on the horse, and two poor efforts at 1950-2000m.
On pure wet-track form Pianta is arguably the most reliable horse in the race, with two Heavy-track wins this campaign and a close 5th in stronger BM62 company last start despite racing four wide. The problem is the race shape - he draws barrier 9, carries 61.5kg and typically settles midfield to back, which is the profile that struggles most at Hamilton. If Walters can find a position closer than usual he is a big chance, but he needs things to fall his way.
Highland Glory is the value runner on class and distance credentials. She has the field's best 2200m record including a win at Hamilton over this trip, and drops sharply from metropolitan BM66-74 races into a country BM56. Her 4th at Warrnambool in BM62 on Heavy 10 was a fair effort against stronger opposition.

Fitzgerald Concrete (Bm56)
Packers Journey maps best in a race where Hamilton's data screams on-pace and low draws. She led throughout to win a BM56 on Soft 6 at Mildura last start, has two wins on soft going, and draws barrier 4. The jockey booking is the query, but form, fitness and map alignment make her the most likely winner.
On raw form Kentahten is the horse to beat: two straight 1100m wins on rain-affected tracks, one of them here at Hamilton under Meech. The concern is the combination of 62.5kg and barrier 11 at a track where wide draws struggle, and he needs to find a forward position without overdoing it. He proved from barrier 11 last start he can overcome a wide gate, so he is a genuine winning chance each-way.
Her Warrnambool BM62 run on Heavy 10 was sound and she drops sharply in grade.
Melissa Kate is the honest wet-tracker at overs. She has placed in six of her last seven starts on rain-affected going, won a BM56 over 1100m on Heavy 8 in July, and ran second in a BM62 last start.

The Cally Hamilton (Bm56)
Alcoshare maps to lead uncontested from barrier 5 on a track with a pronounced on-pace/low-draw bias that strengthens in the wet. He won at 1400m on Soft 5 last start leading all the way, has 3 wins from 8 at the trip and 10:2-2-1 on soft.
Racey Casey drops sharply in grade after competitive efforts in BM66 and Class 1 company on heavy tracks, including a 2nd at Geelong over 1325m. Her 1400m record of 3:1-2-0 and wet-track placings fit today, and Jack Hill is a 22% rider at Hamilton.
However, she is first up with no fresh wins, drawn 11 on a track that punishes wide draws and backmarkers, carries 60.5kg, and rises in class.
He led throughout to win on Soft 5 at Mildura and his last-start 5th over this course-and-distance grade on Soft 7 came with excuses - keen, difficult to ride out, laid out.
