He got back to 12th at Dubbo and 9th at Tamworth last time, and with only two genuine leaders and a slow tempo forecast he will need Bullock to ride him more forward than usual.

Shay Brennan Construction (Bm58)
Lone Star Dream has the right form line for this, having gone down by half a length in a BM66 over this track and trip and placed twice at 2000m in BM58 grade. The Dubbo failure came with clear excuses after a slow start and a wide run. His barrier manners and a poor win strike rate keep him out of win consideration, and the jockey is in a lean run, but if he jumps cleanly from gate 1 he can hold a forward spot and be in the finish.
Questionable beat two of today's key rivals at Dubbo six days ago, sitting fourth and kicking clear at the 400m in a manner that fits Tamworth's positional profile perfectly.
Immortal Rose is the tactical wildcard. With Thundering Falcon the only other genuine leader and a slow tempo predicted, she should get a soft lead on a track where front-runners hold a clear edge and backmarkers barely feature. She won all the way at Quirindi on a Good track two runs back and has previously placed at 2000m.

Happy 65th Birthday Stephen Fairless Plate (C1)
In a field of maidens, backmarkers and horses without Good-track wins, he is clearly the most likely winner.
The Good 4 surface and 59kg are real question marks given his best work has come on soft ground, so he is a place proposition rather than a win threat, but he has the class and map to run top three.
Shakespeare's Girl is a progressive mare whose last-start Tamworth 2nd, improving sharply from the 800m, marks her as the best of the maidens. Light weight and a handy map are assets on this leader-friendly track. The step to 1600m and the Dillon booking (very poor Tamworth record) cap confidence, but she looks capable of running into the placings in a race where few runners have reliable Good-track credentials.
The unplaced Good-track record is the reason she is a value rather than top selection, but with the on-pace bias and Looker aboard she represents a genuine overlay for an each-way play.

Cetnaj Tamworth Country Boosted Mdn Plate
Tigrios is the form horse.
Tasman Deel ran a solid third on debut at Scone in the same race as Tigrios and should improve second up as a 4yo Dundeel gelding stepping to 1400m. Bullock choosing him over stablemate Folkdance is meaningful. He maps handy from gate 8 which suits the track.
May The Force is the cheapest way into the on-pace group. She maps to sit third behind The Matrix and Tigrios from gate 7 with just 55kg.
Her Beaumont and Taree runs would win many country maidens. The concerns are legitimate: she is first up and races from the back on a track hostile to closers. Each-way makes sense given the place strength.

TLE Tamworth Mdn Hcp
Yeah Buddy has placed at 9 of 10 starts including narrow Toowoomba defeats and two seconds at Scone under 59kg. Drops to 56.5kg, draws barrier 2 and maps to settle in the first three, which is exactly where Tamworth sprint winners come from. Only knock is the bridesmaid tag, but this is the weakest field he has met.
Steps into a similar race on a Good track from a mid barrier. The map concern is a Very Fast tempo with Albert's Pick and Hidden Detail also wanting the front, but he showed he can sustain a strong gallop and Tamworth is kind to on-speed types.
The Very Fast tempo is her lifeline, and the Cavanough stable and Nock combination strikes at 19%.

McDonald's Tamworth Hcp (C2)
Dunquin has been competitive every start, races on the speed and maps to control from gate 4 at a track that heavily favours front-half settlers. The Mudgee second was full of merit under 59kg on a Soft 7.
The obvious risk is running style, as Tamworth is punishing on backmarkers, but the two-leader speed map projects a genuine tempo that should give her something to run at. Good track record without a win tempers enthusiasm, though most of those runs came from poor draws or in stronger company.
A genuine sprinter whose two wins came at 1000m, making the 1200m the key query, particularly if the tempo is genuine. Positives are the Tamworth win on Good ground, a favourable inside gate and an on-pace pattern that suits the track. The Scone third under a big weight was solid. Jockey statistics at this track are a concern.
She won a Class 1 over this trip just four weeks ago, draws the inside gate, gets 53kg and races on the speed, which is exactly the profile Tamworth rewards. The last-start failure came at Class 3 where she was found out late. The rider booking is a negative, but from barrier 1 she should get a soft run behind the leaders. Place value stands out.

Tradies Support The Ladies Pink Night At The Track Country Boosted (Bm66)
Sipping Shamus has won both times he has led at 1400m, including at Tamworth, and returns to the track and trip second-up where his record reads 2:1-1-0. Barrier 2 and Bullock give him the ideal on-pace run on a track where leaders dominate and backmarkers fade. The first-up effort had valid excuses (interference, keen at 1200m).
Most reliable placegetter in the race and a proven Good-track performer who maps handy. He was narrowly beaten twice at BM66 recently and ran creditably in a Tamworth BM82. The concern is the 61kg top weight on a tight track and a 1400m record of three placings without a win, which caps him as a place proposition rather than the most likely winner.
She rates a place chance if the pace is genuine enough for her to get into the race.
Small each-way play on the horse most likely to be running on hardest if the leaders overdo it.

West Entertainment Group (Bm82)
He returns from a bleeding ban, steps from BM66 to BM82, has no Good-track win, and his two trials were plain.
The concerns are the outside draw, the full 59kg without a claim, and an out-of-form rider.
She maps to sit handy from barrier 2 behind a fast tempo set by King Potter and Gold Lover, which is the ideal profile at Tamworth. The 59.5kg is the main query, but she has carried 59kg to win here before.
The Fast tempo generated by King Potter and Gold Lover should give her a target, and if she begins cleanly she can settle closer than the speed map suggests.
