Silver Dream drops sharply in grade from provincial 2yo races to a country maiden and her Scone trial, beaten a nose over 1100m, says she is ready to go. The Mary/Le Roux combination is one of the most reliable in the west and her Tamworth run on good ground showed genuine ability. The wide gate and light race experience are the concerns, but she is the clear second pick.

Azucar is the forgotten horse. He has placed three times and rarely runs a bad race, and on-pace types have a clear edge at this track.
Duskaura's debut second at Taree was the strongest race performance in this field, and she now gets barrier 1, a leader's map and a track where on-pace runners in maidens have a big edge.
Good footing, a run under her belt and a good map from barrier 7 should bring solid improvement, and the Robb stable is in form. Each-way value.

Snow Dog has the best recent form line in the race and the running style to exploit it. His second here over 1600m last month was the strongest performance any of these has produced lately, and he followed it with a solid Class 1 third at Dubbo on a Good track. Expected to lead or sit second with Grey Belief the only real speed rival, he gets first crack at a short Narromine straight where leaders are hard to run down. The serial-placegetter tag is the main worry, but the map and stable form are compelling.
Broadcast Boogie is the consistent type this grade often rewards with a placing. She has been beaten narrowly in stronger races than this, including a game second under a big weight in an Open Handicap, and her Moree second over 1600m confirms she stays the trip. The Wellington flop can be forgiven with the traffic she met. The concern is she rarely wins, so the play is for the place from a soft midfield draw where she can get cover and one run at them.
Aphelion is the overlay in the race.

Narromine USMC Mdn Plate
The Beast is the class horse in this field on everything he has done, with four seconds and three thirds in provincial Super Maidens that are well above a Narromine country maiden. The worry is the long layoff and the sharp drop to 1100m, but he has always shown early speed, draws barrier 2 on a track that strongly favours on-pace runners and gets the leading local rider.
Sutton Storm shares favouritism but the case rests on one promising debut run four months ago and a stable booking of Buckley. His only run since then saw him hang badly, and his return trial was plain. From barrier 12 he is likely to be midfield on a track that favours horses on the speed.
Yeah Buddy has the most reliable recent sprint form in the race and his two Scone seconds over this trip were genuine efforts.
Mind Battlefield has turned her form around in the past month, running third here over 800m then going down by a nose at Dubbo over 1000m against a similar field. Three genuine leaders should ensure a strong tempo that suits her closing style, and she carries a light weight.

Western Plains Veterinary Service (Bm58)
Proper Twelve maps to lead uncontested from barrier 5 at a track where front-runners and on-pace types dominate, and his last-start Dubbo win over this trip on a Good track was a run to a winning standard. He is the only lightly raced improver in a field of exposed older horses, and the 2kg claim eases the weight burden. The main risks are the 62kg impost and a jockey with a thin strike rate here, but on map and trajectory he is the most likely winner.
The strongest recent win in the field belongs to Proclivity, whose Dubbo BM58 success over 1620m was a genuinely high-class run for this grade, and he has been consistent at the picnics since. Drawn barrier 2 with a track-savvy jockey, he should get a nice trail behind the speed.
Mrs Bull is the classic place horse of this field: honest, consistent and rarely far away, with three sound runs this preparation and a good-track record that supports her. From barrier 4 she should settle in the ideal midfield spot for a Narromine mile.
He draws barrier 3, will race forward in a moderately run race on a track that favours on-pace runners, and carries only 57kg.

Talakai is effectively resuming after more than a year off but comes in off a trial win that was hard to miss, and the Robb stable is in form. She is the quickest beginner in the race, which counts for plenty at Narromine, though the widest gate makes the early stages tricky and her best form has come over longer trips.
Against that, nothing he has done this preparation has been near winning standard, and he gets back at a track where backmarkers struggle.
Broken Wings brings the strongest recent form at this level, running to a winning standard at Taree last start and finishing second here at Narromine in June when badly held up. She usually settles midfield rather than last, and with Sorrento Palace, Loud and Talakai all wanting to go forward, the race should be run to suit her.
Adviser is the honest type who keeps turning up, and the map here is ideal: inside gate, handy position, and a jockey who goes well at this track. He ran a close third in a Bm58 at Gunnedah in August and has placed at both runs since.

Dandy Cup Ladies Day - Saturday 17 October Country Boosted (Bm66)
Her first-up Taree win was the strongest recent performance in this field, she is proven at the trip and second-up, and a hot tempo from three leaders plays to her closing pattern.
Glowing Rapids is a winning front-runner in career-best form and Narromine sprints reward exactly his racing style from an inside draw.
Zoucratic has been consistent and his last two placings were genuine efforts against similar horses. His on-pace but not leading style is right for Narromine sprints and the tempo will help him finish over the top of the leaders.
Lang Park is a reliable placer whose finishing pattern is tailor-made for a race where three leaders will go hard early. His Gundagai second and Warren second show he runs to a competitive standard when the tempo suits, and he gets in light against the top weights.

Narromine Dolly Parton Festival - Saturday 10 October Hcp (C1)
Mazort brings the sharpest recent form into a weak Class 1. His Dubbo maiden win and the Narromine second before it were both quality efforts for the grade, and he is still improving. The map is his friend: three genuine leaders from wide gates should set a hot tempo, and from barrier 2 he can trail through on the fence and pounce.
But the picture since is uncomfortable: a long absence, two ordinary trials, a change to a stable that is not firing, and no declared rider.
Street Skater is the classic on-pace type Narromine rewards, and his best runs are the strongest in this field. The problems are logistical: a long lay-off, a wide alley and a race shaping to have plenty of early pressure.
Inyun is the forgotten horse. Her two heavy defeats both came on rain-affected ground, while every dry-track run has been competitive, including a Dubbo maiden win that would match anything here. She returns on a Good 4 for a stable in form after a sound trial. The 1200m and a getting-back style are concerns, but the projected hot speed from three leaders gives closers their chance.
