Saint Anns is the most complete package in a messy maiden. Her Emerald record, barrier 2 and recent trial win give her the clearest path to victory on a track that heavily favours on-pace runners from inside gates.

Graphien's Rockhampton effort stacks up as the best pure run in the race and she maps to race on-speed, which is the winning profile at Emerald over 1000m. Last-start flop was excused by a wide trip.
Bullrun brings the best recent race-day form with a second over this track and trip, and the Satherley-Bell combination is a major plus at Emerald. The tongue tie is a logical gear fix. The worry is settling pattern — he maps back in a race where leaders and handy types dominate. Include for form, but the map keeps him behind the top two.
In a maiden full of exposed non-winners, the unexposed filly from a red-hot stable maps perfectly from barrier 3. Worth a small each-way against horses that have had plenty of chances.

Clear form horse. Her Mackay Bm60 second was the best recent performance in this field, and the maiden win prior showed she is ready for this trip range. Trainer is firing and blinkers return. Map is the query on a leader-friendly Emerald setup, but raw ability and grade relief make her the most likely winner.
Better gate today and grade relief help.
Honest C&D performer who beat a Bm55 field at Emerald with Whiteley and ran right up to a winning standard that day. Subsequent bush efforts were plain but the return to this track and trip is the key.
Best-mapped runner in the race. Gate one and on-pace into a genuine slow tempo is exactly what Emerald 1630m rewards, especially midweek. Wide run last start here is easily forgiven and his distance record is among the strongest.

AAA Tilt Tray Towing (Bm62)
Best-mapped runner in a race where Emerald heavily rewards leaders and handy types. Recent form is honest and she finds the frame regularly. Barrier five lets her control or sit outside the speed without burning petrol. Weight is a query and the trip is a step up from last start, but the pattern of this track overrides those knocks. Clear top chance on form and setup.
Gets the second-best map behind Lunar Eight and that matters enormously here. Olzard’s Emerald record is a genuine edge and the gelding has won fresh enough on Good tracks at this grade. Dropping back from staying trips is the main risk, but a moderate tempo and a forward settle give him every chance to be in the finish.
She is fit and honest. However she gets back in her races and this venue has frozen out backmarkers for a long stretch, especially on recent cards.
A young gelding who keeps winning on Good ground and has not had many chances yet. The jump in grade is real, yet country Bench 62 fields are often thinner than the label and he gets in with a workable weight from a decent gate. Small each-way value against the more obvious maps.

Thank You Racing Queensland Plate (C6)
Most likely winner on form and map. Draws the rails, races on the speed and arrives off a narrow Bm68 win with the same rider who knows him inside out. Emerald rewards inside, on-pace runners and he is built for that setup.
The query is the wide gate: he has the toe to lead but may spend early petrol crossing.
Well-weighted on-pace chance who has already run third in Class 6 at this track. With two leaders drawn to take him into the race, he can sit handy and peel off their backs.
Genuine class dropper who saluted in Open grade at Emerald last start and now finds a much easier race.

Emerald Isuzu UTE Hcp (C1)
Hooroo is the clear form horse. His sole start was a commanding Mackay maiden win where he took control and scored with authority on similar ground. Emerald strongly favours on-pace runners and he is the ranked leader, so he can cross and dictate a moderate tempo. Class rise and the wideish gate are real queries, but the quality of that win and the map edge make him the one to beat.
Crudo is the main danger. He broke through over this trip first-up and draws beautifully to sit handy without burning petrol. Emerald rewards exactly that pattern. Second-up he should be tighter and the retained jockey is a plus.
Take Three is the local improver. He won his maiden then ran a game second at this track 17 days ago, only a neck away. Bell knows Emerald inside out and the winkers are a positive gear change as he stretches to 1200m.
Heroic Talent offers value as a class-dropper who was not disgraced last start when trapped wide at Mackay.

Maraboon Tavern Hcp
Local specialist who cleaned up at this track and trip before spelling, and the map is perfect to stalk the leaders. Same jockey stays aboard at a handy weight. The long break is the only real knock, but first-up form is acceptable and his Emerald record sets him apart.
McConachy's stable is flying at Emerald and this gelding looks tuned after a winning trial. He maps to lead and has the Open credentials to take a beating. Strong each-way claims if the tempo is only moderate.
The class horse of the race, coming back from Doomben and Eagle Farm grade into a country Open. If he brings anything near his best metropolitan level he is right in this. The query is whether he is fully wound up after a quiet last start and a short freshen, plus the big weight. Each-way is the right shape while he finds this easier grade.

Fairbairn Bakery (Bm50)
Entitle is the form horse. Her Emerald win at a higher grade was the strongest recent performance in this field, and barrier 2 lets her sit perfect behind a fast, contested lead. Back to the sprint after overdoing it at 1400m, she maps ideally for this on-pace track.
She deserves her place in the top three on raw ability and local form. Each-way still appeals.
I'm Stellar brings the best current form with successive seconds, including a game Emerald BM55 effort, and drops into an easier grade. She wants to be on-speed, which fits the track pattern.
Speed King won last start and draws the coveted inside gate with a jockey-trainer pair that knows this track cold.
