His recent Hawkesbury fifth carried genuine merit after a messy start left him last, and he finished harder than anything else in this maiden. Maher and Lloyd add further confidence.

Laughing Moons is the best-credentialed newcomer. Pride is in strong form and wins at a high clip at Hawkesbury, the latest Warwick Farm trial was a narrow second, and barrier two gives every chance to settle kindly. In a volatile maiden the stable intent and draw lift her above most of the field even without race form.
Red Affairs trialled up nicely, winning her latest hit-out, and maps well from barrier three. Sara Ryan can ready a debutant and the Home Affairs bloodlines fit a sharp 1000m.
De Grawin Queen faces Artemex again after a tough debut here where she raced wide, keen and without cover. The two prior trial wins showed ability, and second-up with that experience she can jump forward.

Evergreen Turf Provincial Mdn Hcp
His only start produced the best race result in the field, a tight third at this distance in provincial company after a messy beginning. Lloyd and Widdup are a potent pairing, barrier two removes map risk, and the new gear suggests they want him more tractable.
Her latest Muswellbrook run when dictating terms was the best performance any of these have put on the board, and a slow, leaderless 1300m is made for her.
The professional placegetter of the race. He keeps running honest races at this distance and projects to race handy, which is the right pattern here. Place-focused exposure is the sensible approach.
Value stab in an open maiden. His latest Hawkesbury run from last was the first time he has really finished off, and barrier three should see him much closer in a race without early heat.

Clarendon Tavern Mdn Plate
Two even fourths in stronger maidens, including a genuine 1550m hit-out at Kensington, put him clear of this field on ability. James McDonald and barrier 2 are major upgrades on prior wide draws where he was buried back.
Maps to control or sit handy, which is a genuine advantage at this course when maidens are run. The Warwick Farm fourth behind stronger types was honest, and the Waterhouse-Bott/King team often strike in these midweek spots. Third on pure winning chance; needs to sustain the gallop at 1500m but the pattern fits.
The standout each-way threat. A nose defeat at this track last start was a winning effort in all but the result, and he shapes as the one to chase True Tone home.
The value angle. She is the most reliable place horse in the field and races in the right part of the track, unlike several more fancied closers.

Book Your Christmas Raceday Now Midway Hcp (C1)
Consistent mare who maps to settle prominently in a race with little genuine speed. A slow, tactical tempo should suit and the stable has found a winnable race. The knock is she wins rarely, only one success from twelve, so she is a narrow top pick rather than a confident one.
He gets a nice draw but does his best work from off the pace, and this track has strongly favoured forward runners, with backmarkers barely winning. His trainer has had no winners from many local starters.
He races on the speed, ideal around Hawkesbury, from a handy middle gate. He has never won on a good track, though, and his stable is without a recent winner, so he looks a place and win-saver rather than a confident win play.
The queries are the step to 1500m for the first time, top weight and a likely slowly-run race that won't suit a horse who does his best work late.
A last-start maiden winner over 1500m who also ran second in a good maiden here at the same trip earlier in the year. He gets the meeting's best local rider and a trainer with a strong Hawkesbury record, and is the stable's only runner.

De Bortoli Wines (Bm64)
Valentiago is the most complete package. He has already won at this track and trip, maps to race in the first few from barrier two, and his second-up record is strong. Last start’s third at Wyong over the shorter journey was a sound return and sets him up perfectly for 1800m.
Oakfield Alaska is the horse with the highest ceiling. Three wins from four and a dominant profile before the spell mark him as progressive. Mikayla Weir said after the Wyong flop that he wants further, so this is the right race. Second-up he has won before and he has already saluted at Hawkesbury. The big weight and lack of an 1800m run are the only real queries; if he stays, he wins.
Prefer Diamonds keeps turning up and running honest races. Her Midway third at Rosehill was a high-class effort for this grade, and she followed with another solid third over 2000m here. Two wins at the venue underline her liking for Hawkesbury. Blinkers come off, which may help her settle. She is a reliable each-way chance who will be hard to hold out of the first three.
Binkou is flying at his home track. He won an 1800m here, then ran second over the same trip and second again over 2000m, all in this grade. That is the strongest sequential form in the field at Hawkesbury. The map is the worry because he often gets back, and this circuit can punish backmarkers, yet he has already won from off the pace here.

Ladies Day 7 November Conditional (Bm68)
Clearest form horse. Handles Hawkesbury and 1400m, maps forward in a race without a genuine leader, and has been competitive in similar or stronger company. Last-start third here in a Midway BM68 was honest and prior Open run was strong. Best win chance on form and setup.
Drops markedly from BM85 and BM82 company after a recent win from the rear at Moruya. That class relief is the key. Barrier two helps and she is genuine on good tracks. Slow tempo is the main query for a closer, but the form standard she has met is above this field. Strong each-way claims.
The Wyong BM64 effort was soft when he was expected to win, and he now steps up in grade with blinkers removed.
Second-up after a close third in open company at Canberra and drops into a softer BM68 with only 55kg. Four-time 1400m winner who finds this grade suitable.

Thank You Digby Nuthall (Bm64)
His Super Maiden win and prior city placing put him above this group on class, and a recent trial confirms he is ready. Barrier 5 lets him race in the front half on a track that rewards on-pace runners. The 60.5kg and softer-track pattern are real queries, yet the talent gap is wide enough to make him the most likely winner.
Run-style angle is the key. No confirmed leader and a moderate tempo hand her the front from barrier 4, and this track has been kind to early speed. Her 1100m win was the right form; the latest 1200m fade is forgivable and the trip drop helps.
Most complete setup horse in the race. She has won at this track and trip, then ran a close second in Class 1 at Wyong, and draws the rails. That progression into a Bench 64 is standard and she still looks to be improving.
Genuine each-way overlay. She beat Bench 64 company last start with the race not truly run to suit, and connections keep the winning rider. Small each-way stake captures the upside if she repeats the latest effort.
