It is drawn well, should settle just behind the speed and is a winning chance at the Seymour mile with a jockey who knows the track. Limited experience and a fast tempo are the risks, but its consistent placings and ideal map make it the most likely winner.

Gravelista - UCI Gravel World Series Sun 25 Oct Mdn Plate
A consistent type that has been placed on Good ground and has been unlucky at times. The inside draw and midfield position should work well if the pace is genuine. The stable also does well at Seymour.
A frustrating maiden but clearly competitive, finishing second in each of its last three runs. A fast tempo gives it the best chance to run on late.
A lightly raced improver with natural speed that ran well on Good last start. If it can cross from the outside barrier to a handy spot it will be hard to run down at Seymour.

Go Seymour Go Nagambie Mdn Plate
Valaroso ran a close second last start in a maiden plate, is second up from a short spell, and has run to a good standard against beaten horses. The fast tempo should suit a midfield runner who finishes well. The wide gate is a worry, but Seymour has no real barrier bias and he has the speed to find cover.
A debutant with strong connections. Maher and Brown have won plenty together, and Brown is riding in outstanding form. The wide draw and lack of race experience are the main risks, but a handy position in a fast-run sprint should be within reach.
Trials have been moderate rather than spectacular, but a third in the jump-out last start suggests he is coming to hand. He maps to race in the first half of the field without too much trouble.
The pressure from Avedis and Carnevale is the main risk, but her ability and the weight advantage make her the most likely winner.
Lomu is a consistent maiden who has been placed in three of four starts and finishes strongly. The fast pace expected suits a midfield runner who can run on. He has been beaten by only small margins, and he has run second over 1200m before. He is a good each-way proposition.

Tahbilk Mdn Plate
The most likely winner on form. His second on Good ground last campaign was the best run among these, and a genuinely fast pace helps a closer. The concern is the settling position, because backmarkers struggle at Seymour, but the pace map gives him a fair chance of making ground.
He draws well and should get handy in a race where on-pace runners are favoured.
A maiden with a lot of starts, but last start he went within a length of winning and has the right style for this track. Luke Nolen is a good booking, and he should land in the first few from a handy gate.
The draw is a negative, but she has early speed to work across. The trainer does well at Seymour and a fast tempo may leave plenty behind.

Godolphin Internship Program (Bm66)
The clear form pick. Melek ran a near-winning race over 2000m on Good ground at Ballarat and is lightly raced with upside. A genuinely fast tempo from three leaders should suit his running pattern, and barrier 4 lets him slot in midfield. The main risk is getting too far back on a track that favours on-pace runners.
Terrortorian arrives in good form after a strong second at Bendigo and has a good record on Good ground. A fast tempo and a handy barrier should help. The big question is the step up to 2000m, as he has never raced past 1600m.
Ahab is a proven Seymour performer and ran better than his sixth last start, racing close to the speed on Good ground. He gets a favourable weight and a jockey who knows the track well. The wide draw is a concern, but he should be able to find a position midfield behind a fast tempo.
If the tempo is genuinely fast he could finish over the top of tiring leaders.

Kilmore Ford (Bm66)
She won here over this trip, drops in class and has a top stable and rider combination. She is a safe second pick behind Ragazzone, who offers more value.
Only Opera was very impressive winning her maiden over 2000m and gets a nice light weight. The big question is the draw. From barrier 16 she will be last or close to it, and backmarkers rarely win at Seymour. A genuinely fast tempo is her best friend, and the big class rise is a worry, so she is better as a place chance.
Ragazzone is the form pick on trajectory. He won the same 2000m Bm66 at Ballarat last start in a run that stands up well against anything else in this field, and he has won on Good ground. With three genuine leaders likely to burn each other out, his midfield cruising position should allow a late finish.
Roaring Engine is the overlay. His Ballarat run from the widest gate was far better than the finishing position, and the same form line produced Ragazzone's win. From barrier 3 he can settle midfield with cover on a Good track.

Bezzy Eldo (Bm62)
She won easily at Mornington over this trip on Good ground, and the quality of that run is strong for a maiden winner. She gets a big weight break and has the speed to sit one or two off the lead. The class rise and a hot pace are the main risks, but she is the most likely winner.
Barrier 16 is a real concern, but a very fast tempo should allow him to ease back and finish off late.
A talented young gelding who has shown a high ceiling when winning at Echuca by six lengths. He follows a winning trial and has a strong jockey and trainer combination.
She will be handy from a good gate and has a strong stable and jockey behind her.

Libertad @ Blue Gum Farm (Bm70)
On pure form Tsarine is the one to beat. Two wins in a row over today's distance, the latest at this grade, with the strongest runs of anyone here. The fast pace should help her finish off. The wide barrier and Seymour's lean towards on-pace runners are real risks, but she is still the most likely winner.
She is in form, drawn well and tracks the pace. But she is still lightly raced, steps up in grade and is shorter than her record warrants.
Lathlain loves Seymour with three wins from three, including a win over this distance. She is second up and well drawn, and has led before so should be able to settle close.
Sister Shay has the best early position of any runner, with the inside gate and the speed to use it. Seymour rewards that style and she is at her best on Good ground. Her last run was poor on soft ground in a higher grade, which should be forgiven.

Seymour Park (Bm74)
She is lightly raced, wins on Good ground and has run well in stronger grades. The wide draw is a concern, but a likely midfield-on-pace trip behind a hot tempo should suit.
He is in career-best form and has the draw. The very fast pace should help a horse who finishes well from midfield. The big class rise stops him being the top pick, but he is the main danger to Educated.
A lightly raced sprinter who has won at the trip and carries weight well. Trial wins show he is fit and Rawiller knows him.
Chasing the speed from the back is harder here, but a very fast tempo should bring the leaders back to him. Williams knows how to win at Seymour and the stable has a good record there. He is dropping in class and he is fit.

Bet365 Seymour Cup
On form this is the most likely winner. He has been competitive in recent black-type races at Caulfield and Flemington, handles Good ground and is the best-weighted of the proven runners. The three leaders should set up a genuine tempo, which suits a horse who can settle just behind the speed and finish strongly.
He is not the top pick: his last run was poor when he was tapped for speed, and his best results have come over longer trips.
A genuine contender after his Testa Rossa victory, and the distance and ground suit. The concern is the combination of top weight and a wide draw in a race with three leaders. If he is forced to push forward he may be vulnerable late, so he is ranked behind Lim's Saltoro, who beat him narrowly last start only after being better off at the weights. A solid place chance.
A veteran who has dropped back from a middle-distance Group race and has the right profile if the leaders burn each other off. His run style is a risk on this track, but three leaders and a very fast tempo give him a chance to run past tiring runners.

National Thoroughbred Week 20-30 Nov (Bm70)
The strongest horse on ability and the one most likely to benefit if the leaders burn each other out. Dropping from Bm84 company, he has the finishing sprint to run them down. Barrier 18 and a last-on-settle trip are real risks at Seymour, where backmarkers rarely win, but the very fast pace gives him a genuine chance.
A progressive four-year-old who has been quick and consistent in a winning run. He should get a nice midfield trip behind the leaders in a very fast race, and his late burst suits those conditions.
A genuine chance who is rarely out of the finish and gets a nice run from the inside. The jump from Bm62 company is a concern, but he has shown more in better races earlier in his career.
Consistently runs to a high standard and has been placed at every start in this preparation.
