The most reliable form in the race. He won over this trip at Tuncurry and then ran a strong third in better company on the soft, finishing off well. Back in grade with an in-form jockey, he should get a sweet run in midfield.

Has run several solid races in Bm72 grade including a good second at Scone, and drops into easier company. The inside draw suits and he should get a trail behind the leaders.
Best form in the field on his day, having won and run third in Bm72 grade. The last start flop at Port Macquarie is a concern, but he drops into easier grade and the Canterbury third was excellent.
Likely to lead unopposed in a race forecast to be slow, which is a good setup for a mare who has won in this grade. Recent runs have been poor, but both were in tougher Bm72 races.

Prysmian Cables Hcp (C1)
The only fit, race-hardened runner among the leading chances. She is on-pace from barrier 3 in a moderate-tempo race, carries a light weight and drops in class. The step to 1200m is a small query because she has weakened late over 1100m.
She has never raced on Good, is carrying a big weight jump, and her last trial was only fair. She is a genuine contender but not good enough value to be the top pick.
A class dropper with a strong Newcastle Class 1 run on Good. The inside barrier and in-form jockey help. She resumes after a long break and has to carry 61kg, and her trials were only fair.
She has the on-pace style and a good stable and jockey combination, and she ran creditably over 1200m on Good. First-up from a spell is a question, as are her wide draw and lack of a win on Good.

Haneco - GTS - HPM Legrand Hcp (C1)
He gets a nice handy trip from barrier 3 in a moderately run sprint and has the fitness from a winning trial.
A big gear overhaul and a winning trial suggest he is ready for his first-up run. The year-long absence and big step up in class carry risk, but the ability is there and Zac Lloyd is a good fit.
Gets a perfect run from barrier 1 and will be handy. He has competed well at this level and has a win on Good ground.
Last start he ran an excellent second at Bathurst, carrying more weight over the same distance, and is in good order with recent racing. He drops to the bottom of the weights at 55kg and gets a midfield run.

Benson ran a strong second at Hawkesbury over this trip, leading and finishing on well, and was only beaten by a better horse. He has the speed to hold a prime position from barrier 5 and has a light weight. His form is the most reliable here. An untested record on Good ground and a hot early pace are the main risks, but he is the clearest win chance.
She is a fair chance on debut, but I rate her slightly below Benson. The trial form is promising, but trials are not race experience, the stable's recent form is weak and the jockey is a downgrade.
Brutal Advance is the model of consistency, having run second in his last three races, two of them wide without cover. He should settle handy and can run on, but 15 runs without a win make him a real risk to find one short. The top weight is a concern. He rates a solid place chance and gets into the top three on form.
His Hawkesbury run was strong over this trip and ground, and a fast pace can only help a horse who sits just off. Barrier 4 is useful. He is the value play.

Hunter Pacific - Matchmaster - Omni Mdn Plate
Made In Italy has been placed in eight of nine starts and ran second over this exact course and distance. She sits midfield, close enough to make use of a slow tempo, and her recent runs have been at or above this class. The risk is that she keeps running second, but she is the most likely winner in a weak maiden.
Victorious Ruler is the only real leader in a race tipped to be run slowly. That gives her a chance to dictate and kick off her own terms. She was beaten just a fraction last start from the front, and the Waterhouse and Bott stable is in top form.
The concern is the setup: barrier 13, a backmarker, and a slow tempo that favours horses nearer the pace. He needs the race to be run honestly for his finish to count.
She has been close several times, narrowly beaten at Newcastle and Canterbury, and she has the pace to be handy. Last start she faded after leading but has since had a short break from that run and is in a stable that targets Wyong successfully. Barrier 12 is a slight negative, but she can cross to the front or sit just behind.
She finished strongly at 1600m at Warwick Farm after being held up in traffic, and she was runner-up at 1450m before that. She carries only 55kg, should settle midfield and gets blinkers first time from a stable that wins often at Wyong.
March looks the best overlay in the race. She ran a close third on debut and finished strongly. She is also likely to be on the pace in a race expected to go slowly, which gives her a good chance of being in the finish.

Go Electrical Midway Mdn Hcp
The clear form pick. The new gear should help him travel, and he has the speed to put himself right there. The long break is the only query, but there's nothing else in this field with a run as good as that.
He has won both his trials in good style, gets a leading rider, and draws to sit handy without doing work. The stable is more than capable with a fresh horse. His formline is trial-only, so he lacks the race-day substance of the top pick, but his profile is exactly what you want in a maiden like this.
A tricky one to peg. Her best run is the strongest piece of exposed form in the race, and she has the speed to be handy from a wide gate, which matters over a sharp 1000m.
She has twice gone close in maidens, including a photo finish, and she stays at a sprint trip where she has been placed. Second-up with a run under her belt she should be fitter, and she can put herself on the speed.

Klein Tools - Evolt - Omega Power Provincial (Bm68)
Valilee is a leader who has folded under pressure at his past two starts while giving away weight all round. She maps to sit just behind a genuine speed from a good gate and her trainer knows how to win at Wyong. The step to 1000m for the first time is the only query.
The class runner on what she has produced: a city win in heavy ground and a dominant front-running success over this trip at Kembla. She resumes after four months but a recent trial second has her forward enough and she has won fresh before.
Lightly raced four-year-old who has won three of five, including a determined fresh success at Goulburn where he charged to the line. He has a win and a placing from two Wyong starts and was third in this grade here last preparation, so the track and trip hold no fears.
Won this very race at Wyong in the autumn from the breeze and has twice been runner-up in stronger company at Gosford. Her first-up run was plain but she normally improves sharply with a run behind her, the stable is going well and the jockey has ridden her to a win.

Cabac - Martec - Hager (Bm64)
She produced the best performance of any runner in this field last start, charging from near last to be beaten half a length over 1500m at Hawkesbury, and she is improving with each run this preparation. Lightly weighted, she gets a top rider and a yard that wins a third of the time together, and the likely fast tempo suits. The knock is she is yet to place in two tries at the mile and must give away a start on Wyong's short straight.
Honest on-pacer who has been around the mark all preparation and clearly likes this course and trip, with a photo-finish second here in the wet in July and a handy fifth in a similar race last month. He will be in the first few from gate seven and his rider is going well. He does not win out of turn, so he shapes as a better place proposition than a win one.
The class runner of the field. He was third in a stronger open-grade mile at Warwick Farm last start, beaten under two lengths after being awkward early and pulling hard, and two runs back he charged from last to run to a winning standard at Illawarra. A lightly raced five-year-old from a top stable dropping in grade, he is a genuine threat. The concern is that he settles a long way back and Wyong's short straight makes that a hard place to make ground from.
A genuine Wyong mile specialist - a win and two seconds from three starts here at the trip, including a dominant all-the-way success in August. He is drawn to sit handy from gate two and won't be bothered by a fast tempo if he can slot in behind the speed.
