Lady Lucifer is the most reliable form horse in the race, coming off a sharp win at Doomben. The class rise to Open is a query but she already placed in BM78 company.

Pressalong is a Grafton track specialist with consistent recent form, including a second at Gold Coast last start. She maps to race on-pace from barrier 6 and carries only 55kg. The class rise is big, but she has shown ability in BM82 company before.
Ocean Alps has a strong record over 1400m and ran a credible 3rd in an Open race at Gold Coast two starts back. The removal of blinkers could help. Worth an each-way ticket.
Picasso's Dream is a consistent mare who has been racing well at provincial level, finishing 4th in a Class 3 at Grafton last start. From barrier 1, she can lead or sit on speed, matching the track bias. Each-way value.

The Provedores Country Boosted Showcase Hcp (C1)
Satin And Cash has drawn ideally in barrier 2 and showed enough when fourth in a BM66 at Grafton last time. She won a maiden over 1400m two starts back and is still open to improvement.
Almost Maybe ran a career-best third over 1215m at Grafton last start, finishing strongly. The wide barrier isn't ideal but he can position midfield and rely on his acceleration.
Comic Culture profiles well on paper with the inside draw and recent synthetic form, but his turf performances have been moderate and the jockey/trainer combination is winless. He is likely to lead but may be vulnerable under pressure.
Our Sparky is a track specialist who consistently runs well at Grafton over 1400m, with three seconds and a win from six attempts.

Village Green Hotel Showcase (Bm66)
Hey Daisy has been a model of consistency, with a win at this track and distance earlier in her career. Her last two starts in Queensland were both competitive, including a narrow second in Class 3 at Doomben. She has the speed to hold a forward position from barrier 10 and the strong finishing ability to capitalise. One of the best each-way plays in the race.
Manpower faces easier company after competing in Class 4, and his last start third in that grade was encouraging. He is second-up today, a scenario in which he has won previously. The drop in class is substantial, and from barrier 7 he should get a cosy run. He is a key threat.
Dance Gavin Dance brings a dominant last-start win and progressive form into a winnable BM66. The booking of Nash Rawiller signals intent, and barrier 5 is ideal for a horse with early speed. The very fast tempo should not hurt him as he can sit just off the lead. The main query is weight, but his form at the distance is strong. He is the most likely winner.
That indicates he is ready to peak second-up. He has placed at this track and distance and gets a slight class drop. The wide barrier is a concern, but if he can overcome it, he is significantly overpriced.

The long gap between runs is a concern but he won first-up previously. Barrier 2 should allow him to control proceedings.
Slippin' Away broke his maiden in stylish fashion at this track last start. He should improve second-up and gets weight relief.
Zee Fire debuted with a solid second at Grafton and can improve with that experience under her belt. The light weight and ability to get back onto a good track are positives.

Corbett Civil The Big Super Showcase Mdn Plate
A key contender.
Jennibelle has been ultra-consistent at Grafton with three third placings and should again be in the finish. From the inside barrier she can take up a forward position, which is crucial on this track.
He improves second-up and gets the in-form Nick Heywood. Not excessive value but a solid contender.
Stakeholder debuted with a strong second at Nowra and returns from a long spell under top jockey Aaron Bullock. Barrier 7 gives options and he should be competitive in this moderate maiden.
The addition of blinkers could spark improvement, and this is a weaker race than his recent assignments.

Fidelity Capital Country Boosted Belflyer Showcase Plate (C6)
Tough Guy is the most reliable form runner with consistent recent performances, a perfect inside draw, and a running style that suits Grafton's on-pace bias. The winkers first time may add focus. Class rise is minimal and he represents the strongest win chance in the field.
House Of Cards returns from a 67-day spell with a strong first-up record and a good draw. He won on heavy last time but has solid Good-track form. The class drop from BM82 to Class6 is a plus. He should settle on-pace from barrier 4 and can fight out the finish.
Ravalli drops sharply in class and has excellent statistics at this distance and on Good ground. Though his last three runs were on synthetic, he was competitive and the form may translate. Barrier 5 is favourable and Nash Rawiller takes the ride. He represents each-way value if he can replicate his earlier turf performances.
His first-up record shows placings but no wins, though the long spell may have freshened him. Aaron Bullock's hot form gives confidence.

Westlawn Finance Grafton Cup
King Pedro comes off a dominant BM90 win at Rosehill, suggesting he is ready for Listed level. Light weight, classy jockey, and improving profile make him the horse to beat despite the Grafton debut.
Pounding has been a model of consistency with five straight placings in stakes company, including a narrow second in the Group 3 Eagle Farm Cup. The win is overdue.
So You Are has been knocking on the door with consecutive stakes placings, including a narrow second at Sunshine Coast. He is an on-pace type that suits the Grafton layout and receives a light weight. Expect him to be in the finish again.
He finished third in the Group 3 Eagle Farm Cup and is trained by Chris Waller with a booming jockey in K Wilson-Taylor. He maps well and should be competitive.

Sir James Kirby Qlty
Tectonic Plate is the most reliable form horse in the race. She ran a gutsy 2nd last start at Grafton from a wide gate and now draws perfectly in barrier 3. She is consistent at this level, loves the track, and is race fit. With the strong leader bias at Grafton, she can settle on the pace and prove hard to run down.
Emperor is a consistent gelding who finds a winnable Open class race after competing in Listed grade. He won at Grafton over 1175m last year and has been racing well in Queensland. The drop in class, barrier 4, and light weight make him a serious threat. He should sit just behind the speed and produce his trademark finish.
If she can cross from barrier 9 and lead, she is dangerous on a track that heavily favours leaders. Her first-up record is solid and she has won Open company before. The last-start failure can be forgiven as she may have needed the run.
He is a proven 1000m performer with 5 wins from 25 attempts. Barrier 8 requires some luck but he has enough early speed to hold a forward spot.
Action King is a value runner who maps perfectly for the Grafton leader bias. From the inside gate, he can control the race and prove hard to catch. He has won at Open class before and his first-up record is respectable.
