Grunge is the track/distance specialist. He was runner-up over this Wyong 1625m trip in November, then returned from a poor run to grab second over 1630m here on 2 August, leading throughout. Barrier 1 is ideal for a tight-turning track where leaders and inside draws dominate.

From barrier 3 he can slot in just behind the speed and produce a career-best. The knock is the 0-from-6 record, but this is a winnable maiden and he is more reliable than the raw debutants.
Emirate Star is the clear form overlay. She powered home to be runner-up over 1600m last start, meets a similar maiden field and draws perfectly at 2 with only 55kg. Tom Sherry is riding with confidence and the stable's combination is strong.
Crispy Leaves is the value runner. She resumed with a closing third at this track over 1350m on Soft5 after being buffeted at the start, and her prior run before a spell was a third over 1600m at Wyong on Soft6. Second-up with R Hutchings retaining the ride, she should relish 1625m.

Union is the most reliable winning chance in this maiden. He led at Hawkesbury and was only run down late over 1100m on Soft 5, then previously placed third over 1000m at Kembla. The gear change to visors is the main risk, but his clear form edge makes him the top pick.
Waterhouse and Bott have a strong record with early-speed types, and Magnus progeny often perform well fresh over 1000m. The lack of raceday experience is the key risk, but his upside and trial strength keep him second on winning chance.
The Wildling has yet to place, but she has raced in Group 3 company and returned from a spell with a solid 4th over 900m at Newcastle. She has since trialled well and gets C Schofield, who is riding with great confidence. From barrier 4 she should settle just off the speed and is a genuine podium chance in a weak maiden, though her maiden status remains the main concern.

I'm Ya Huckleberry created a strong impression when runner-up in a Randwick Group 3 on debut and has since returned with two barrier trial wins on rain-affected ground. The drop into a provincial Maiden is a massive class advantage, and he possesses the early zip to work across from barrier 12. The main concerns are the long layoff and first try at 1200m, but he profiles as clearly the most likely winner.
Threads has been competitive in stronger races, including a Group 3 third and a last-start Canterbury maiden third on Soft 5. The knock is a 0-4 strike rate and a tendency to settle a touch too far back for Wyong's on-pace bias. Still, he is the clear main danger.
Beautiful You made a promising debut when leading throughout and finishing second at this track and distance on Soft 5. That is exactly the profile that performs well at Wyong, where leaders are significantly favoured. She should have derived fitness from the run and can be even more competitive second-up, although barrier 9 and the presence of higher-class colts keep her behind the two main chances.
She meets a similar assignment from a better draw and should strip fitter for that experience.

Five Star Day Spa Mdn Plate
The Thorncaster has raced in Open company, finishing a close second over 1400m at Eagle Farm on Soft5, and now drops well below that level into a Wyong maiden. He won a recent Warwick Farm trial and Zac Lloyd/Ciaron Maher are striking at 20% together. Though first-up and settling midfield, the faster tempo looks ideal for his closing run. Clear top rank on class and preparation.
That on-pace pattern is ideal for Wyong's sprint track, and barrier 3 should allow a similar sit. Tyler Schiller is riding well and the Waller filly should improve with that experience. The query is the lack of a win, but she represents the strongest known form at the track.
Zynaro drops from Open grade to a maiden and has the tactical speed to hold a forward position, which suits Wyong. He won his latest Rosehill barrier trial under Sam Clipperton and is from the Chris Waller stable. His only poor run came when he led and raced greenly at Gosford; with cover behind the speed today he can bounce back. Unproven on soft ground is the main concern.
Chad Schofield has been in outstanding form and the Freedman stable is hitting strongly. The step to 1200m should suit her pedigree, and she maps to be closer than most under a fast tempo.

Ladies of Brian Hilton Wyong Provincial Mdn Hcp
Cheeky Sort has the most compelling mix of course/distance form and track bias. She has run 2nd and 3rd in two starts at Wyong over 1100m, including a close second on Soft 6 when leading. From gate 4 she should control the race and give a bold sight fresh. The main concern is a 130-day gap and a winless record, but the stable has produced a solid trial and the map brings her right into it.
Barrier 3 and a forecast on-pace sit suit Wyong's leader bias, and C Lever is riding well. The knocks are his 0-from-5 record, ordinary second-up stats and an unproven soft-track profile. Still, his form trajectory makes him the logical third chance.
Yamashita is the clear class threat. Second-up she should be improved, but barrier 12 and a tendency to settle back are concerns on a track that clearly favours leaders.
Harvey's Turn is the value runner. He has finished third in three of four starts and placed on both Soft and Heavy, so conditions won't worry him. From barrier 2 he can settle on the speed and take every chance under the new winkers.

Star 104.5 - Gina & Matty For Breakfast Midway (Bm64)
Smiling Prophet has the strongest course form in the field and draws the inside gate, a big plus at Wyong. She was runner-up in a BM64 here two starts ago and should appreciate the step to 1350m after racing over shorter trips. Her soft-track profile is only fair, but with R Hutchings riding and an improved map she rates a clear second.
Wealthy Investor ran third in this exact race two weeks ago, settling on the pace and beaten less than a length. He is second-up today, a scenario where he has placed twice before, and K S Latham is riding in excellent form. The concern is his poor conversion rate, but he repeats the exact conditions of a strong recent run and maps ideally.
Spiritualistic is the most convincing form runner: she led throughout when runner-up in a BM64 over 1300m on Soft 6 and had previously won consecutive BM66s on heavy going. Her on-pace pattern fits Wyong's 1350m, and she is only narrowly removed from recent wins.
Cabbucio is an unexposed four-year-old with two wins from four starts, both on soft ground, and she beat a Class 1 field at 1600m before spelling.

NBN News (Bm64)
Borderfall brings a last-start maiden victory over this exact course, distance and Soft 5 surface, leading throughout. He is second-up, should improve, and the Wyong leader bias is strongly in his favour with only #7 likely to pressure him.
Maluku is the most talented runner on raw form, having won both starts including a BM64 at Gosford and a Wyong maiden on Soft 7. Sam Clipperton retains the ride.
Zunesha has been placed in all three starts, all on soft ground, and broke her maiden impressively at Hawkesbury over 1100m. She maps prominently from barrier 6 and Tyler Schiller is riding confidently. While she is a genuine class riser from maiden company, her consistent pattern and proven wet-track ability make her the principal threat to Borderfall, slightly ahead of Maluku.
The Biv is the value play. She won first-up on soft ground, Chad Schofield is riding in career-best form and combines at 31% with Brad Widdup.

Sister City Rotorua Racing Club Hcp (C1)
Don's Party is the clear form horse. He made up significant ground at Hawkesbury last start and has already won at Wyong on a soft track. His main query is the backmarker projection on a circuit that usually suits on-pacers, but recent Wyong trends show closers are becoming more competitive.
Ribble Lace should roll forward and control the race from the outset, which is a strong profile at Wyong. He has placed in two straight Class 1 assignments and handles soft ground. The negative is a quiet jockey run, but his tactical advantage and consistent recent form put him firmly in the finish.
He maps well and has placed in both prior second-up runs, but soft-track statistics and a heavy impost stop him being higher.
Smichov is the clear value runner. He finished runner-up over this exact 1600m course and distance on Soft 5 three weeks ago and now draws the prized inside barrier with blinkers applied for the first time.
