He maps to lead or race outside the leader, which is the dominant winning pattern at Lismore where backmarkers have not won.

O'Brien Electrical & Plumbing Country Boosted Mdn Hcp
His debut reads worse than it was: 1025m on a Soft 7 under 59kg was never going to suit, and the stewards noting he was not fully tested supports that. He won his Casino trial on a Good 4 and the sharp rise to 1310m is the change of conditions this Ole Kirk gelding needs. Barrier 4 gives Looker the option to be handy, which is where Lismore races are won.
The drop from metro to country maiden grade is significant, barrier 2 lets him take a far more economical position than last time, and the rise to 1310m suits a horse still building through his line. Short but rightly so.
The value proposition. The extra 104m today is exactly what he wants.

Northern Rivers Concreting Mdn Plate
The map is everything at Lismore over 1110m, where leaders win at 22% and backmarkers have failed to win from 20 attempts. She has been placed twice on Good ground and is beaten small margins in stronger Queensland maidens. Blinkers off with winkers applied should settle her keenness. Barrier 8 is the query, not the ability.
That run is the important one: it proves she can use barrier 4 to sit handy rather than get back where Lismore sprinters go to lose.
The problem is the map: from barrier 11 with a backmarker profile, she lands in the one position that has produced no winners in the recorded Lismore sample, and her trials have been unremarkable.
She now gets winkers, a natural second-start fitness lift and, most importantly, a map that has her in the first three at a track where on-pace runners dominate.

Lismore Floorcoverings Mdn Plate
The most complete form profile in a shallow maiden. Three genuine leaders should set a very fast 1110m tempo, which is exactly the setup that suits a fresh, well-drawn runner with the best turn of foot. First-up record includes a placing, so no fitness excuse. Clear top pick, if unders.
Trials strongly and maps beautifully. Barrier 3 with an on-pace style is the profile Lismore sprints reward, and Mallyon's 18% strike rate here is the best riding statistic in the race.
Genuine debut merit at a track that rewards exactly his profile. Barrier 1 with an on-pace style is the strongest positional draw in the race given inside gates and forward positions dominate Lismore sprints, and he is the lightest weighted runner at 56.5kg.
Genuine each-way value against rivals who are largely unproven on raceday.

Oaten's Untamed Sprint Prelude (Bm82)
Lismore sprints reward exactly his profile — barrier 1, natural leader, on-pace winners at 20%+ while backmarkers have won none of 20. He has been getting to the front and only weakening late under metro pressure; here he should get an easier lead. Weight and the light jockey booking are the risks, but the map and class relief outweigh them.
A progressive four-year-old with four wins from eight starts and a genuine two-race winning streak, carrying far less weight than in his recent victories. The concern is purely tactical rather than ability: he has won by charging home from sixth and eighth, and Lismore's positional data shows backmarkers with zero wins from 20 runners while leaders sit at 22%.
Poseidon's Son returns first up with a strong fresh profile — five first-up starts for two wins and a placing — and a flawless single visit to Lismore, where he led throughout to win. Against him: 60.5kg fresh, a scratchy Beaudesert trial, and the likelihood of a speed duel with Tiger Tie from the inside. Class and track affinity make him a solid each-way proposition rather than a confident win play.
The overlay of the race. She races handy from an inside gate, which is the winning formula at Lismore sprints where on-pace runners dominate. Her last-start Murwillumbah run looks worse than it was after interference at the start and being crowded near the 800m.

M&T Tyres Country Boosted Hcp (C3)
Constellation is the strongest blend of map, track form and class in this race. Good-track record of 5:2-0-2 fits the surface. Jockey stats are the only genuine concern; the map and class evidence outweigh it.
Barrier 3 today lets him take a far more forward position, and he has won and placed at Lismore from two visits. A drop to Class 3 helps. The reservation is the map: Lismore backmarkers have not won across the sample, so he needs to use the good gate rather than drop out. Each-way appeal.
Two winning trials confirm the Dunn stable has him ready.

Lismore Workers Club Rousillon (Bm66)
Herald Angel is the only runner in the race who has won over this course and distance, doing so on a Good 4 in a comparable time, and she arrives off a last-start win under 59kg. Mallyon returns, having ridden both her wins, and she settled handy in each. Barrier 8 is the main risk.
The map and the weight scale are the case here. The reservation is his habit of missing the start, which would strand him in the backmarker bracket that has won nothing at recent Lismore meetings.
This is a map-driven selection. Lismore's bias toward leaders is pronounced and Golden Copper is the only established front-runner in the field, racing at her own grade off a solid 5th at Coffs Harbour where she was beaten under three lengths. The barrier 9 draw is the obstacle, forcing her to expend early energy to cross, and she has a history of stopping when pressured in front.
He has run a placing or better in all four starts at this exact course and distance, including a win, draws barrier 2, and gets in on 55.5kg after carrying 59kg when running second at Grafton last start. His projected settling position of 3rd is precisely the profile Lismore rewards. The obvious caveat is an 8% career win rate and no victories on Good going, which makes each-way rather than win the correct play.

Somerville Laundry Lomax (Bm58)
Caishen maps perfectly from gate three as the likely leader at a track where on-pace runners from inside draws dominate. Although he has only one win from six starts, he has been competitive in higher CL1/BM65 company with four consecutive top-four finishes. The main risk is a very fast tempo, but his racing pattern suits this 1310m test.
He maps for a midfield run in a race expected to be run quickly and should be suited by the drop to BM58. His inconsistency and modest one-win record count against him, but the Freedman-trained gelding is fit after several Queensland preparations and has the tactical speed to hold a prominent spot. A place-oriented play is appropriate.
However, the class rise to BM58, narrow margin of that Beaudesert win and gate ten all introduce risk. A Munce-trained three-year-old with natural pace should nevertheless be prominent from the outset and can stay in the finish if the speed duel develops.
Barello comes off a last-start win against CL3 company at Casino and drops back to BM58 class, which makes him a genuine value chance. His good-track record is solid and he has proven form over similar trips. Top weight and a wide draw are real negatives on a circuit that traditionally favours on-pace runners, but with genuine speed in the race his late run becomes dangerous.
