The clear standout on form in a moderate field that is 'Open' in name only. Her third over this course and distance last start was as good a recent run as anyone here has produced. She has won or placed in both starts at Dubbo 1000m, her record on good ground is solid, and Ribeiro has an excellent record on her and for the stable.

The best-mapped runner of the genuine chances. His early speed should find him on the lead or just behind it, and on-pace runners have the best record at Dubbo. He is proven on good ground and at the trip, and his recent runs have been consistent in this kind of company.
Drawn to save ground from barrier 1, and the wide run at Geurie that beat her last start can be forgiven. She won at Cobar two starts back, handles good ground and has placed regularly at Dubbo. The concern is that she is mapped to settle back on a track that favours on-pace runners, although a fast early pace should help her. She is best taken as a place chance.
On form he is the best horse in the race. He has raced at a higher class than any rival, he has run to a winning standard in Bm66 company and his record on good going and over the distance is strong. Barrier 2 lets him settle behind a very fast speed battle, and his regular winning rider, Boyd, takes the ride.
Her early speed should get her near the pace despite the wide draw, but she will have to use some petrol to get there with the leaders expected to go hard. She is a good each-way chance to fill a place.

More Cash has the best recent form in this race. His last two measured runs were up to a winning standard. Three leaders should make the pace very fast, which suits his finish. Eloise Drews has won on him both times she has ridden him.
She is well suited to 1400m, and a fast pace will help her. Barrier 15 is a real concern, and she has never won at Dubbo in 12 tries.
He won well at Narromine and has placed in all four of his recent starts. The inside draw and his speed usually suit Dubbo. Three leaders are likely to take each other on, so a horse sitting close to them is under pressure. He is a solid place chance but too short to back to win.
Trifecta Ruby came from the back to win first up at Bathurst and returns 13 days later. Leandro Ribeiro rides, and he is in strong form, both with this stable and at Dubbo. If the leaders go as hard as expected, her finish can carry her into the race. The 1400m is still a question for her.

Best form in the field. His last Wyong second, in a stronger Midway maiden, was a run that would win most races like this one, and his Port Macquarie second was just as good. He is the quickest to begin, has only one other genuine leader to deal with, and Dubbo maidens reward horses on the speed. His habit of finding one better is the knock, but on a moderate tempo from barrier 7 this is his best chance to win in some time.
Placed in both races and set to improve on a flat first-up third at Armidale, where she missed the start. The stable is flying and does well at Dubbo.
A picture of consistency who keeps finishing her races well, including a close second over this trip at Bathurst last time. She is suited by the distance and the going. The worry is her racing pattern: she settles near the back, and on a track and in a grade where horses on the speed dominate, she needs the race to be run hard. She looks a strong place chance but hard to trust as a winner.
He was unlucky last start at Wellington, where he was held up in the straight and still beaten only a head, and his best run is up with anything in this field. He can race handy from barrier 9, which suits the map.

Half Gage is a first starter, but everything points to her being ready. Her Scone trial win was dominant and came over two of today's opponents. The Northam stable does well at Dubbo, and the 3kg claim drops her to 52kg in a race that should be run at a genuine speed.
Best Defence ran the best recent race in this field. He's the quickest beginner in the race and will be on or near the lead in a race where leaders do well. Against that, he has now lost 14 times, carries 59kg and may be pressed by Waikiki Lad.
Patrika Express is a first starter with strong connections. Nick Olive and Coriah Keatings win together at better than one in five, and the jockey is in excellent form. Her Queanbeyan trial second was solid rather than eye-catching, and she draws wide-ish with no proven early speed.
The gear added that day looked to help. Ashley Morgan has an outstanding record at Dubbo, and barrier 4 should give her a good run behind the speed in a fast-run race.

She raced prominently, took over at the 400m and put daylight on several of today's rivals. The extra 2kg is a factor but not a big one. A handy draw and on-pace running style suit a slowly run race, and her stable goes well at Dubbo.
On recent runs she is among the most consistent horses here and her racing pattern suits the map. She should race close to the lead in a slowly run race, and Dubbo favours on-pace runners. The main doubt is the jump to 2200m, which she has never tried. She is a sound place chance.
He is the main danger. His Tamworth second was a sound run at this level, and his early speed should get him into a handy spot in a slowly run race. His Dubbo run behind Questionable was well below his best after he settled back, so a closer position should help.
She is overpriced for a horse that maps to race on the lead or just behind it. In a race with little early speed, that is where Dubbo winners tend to come from. Her Bowraville third was better than it looks, as she raced wide and was knocked on the turn yet was beaten less than half a length. On a light weight, she can hold her spot if the pace stays slow.

On form she is the best winning chance. Her first-up second at Wellington was right up to this class, and she has already won over 1300m on a Good track. She should settle just behind the speed from barrier 6, which suits the fast tempo and Dubbo's lean to on-pace runners. The stable is going well and does well at this track. Her two bad runs came from wide barriers early in her career.
Her first-up fifth in a stronger mares race was a good hit-out: she came from a wide draw and ran on from the back. Barrier 3, a jockey who rides Dubbo well and a stable in form all help. But she has won only once in 11 starts, and her best recent run falls short of Chamber Of Secrets at this level.
She has the map in her favour. She should lead or sit on the speed, and at Dubbo on-pace runners win more often. Her runs have been steady, including a second at this track from the front. Last start she ran fourth despite racing wide without cover. The concerns are the fast tempo and her first try at 1300m.
The value pick. Her Moree second was one of the best recent runs in the field and was up to this level. A fast pace should help her close from behind. The risks are her one win in 15 starts and a quiet stable.

Her last two wins, both from the front, came at a winning standard above what this Class 2 usually needs, and the Dubbo win by nearly five lengths on a good track was the best recent run in the race. From barrier 11 she has the speed to find the front or sit outside the leader, and that position suits Dubbo's forward bias. The class rise is the only real question. Her upward trend and light weight make her the most likely winner.
Marvel Man is the class runner in the race. He's the quickest beginner and should sit on or near the lead from barrier 5, which suits Dubbo. His stable is in great form here. The worry is how often he finds one too good.
But he settles last, and at Dubbo backmarkers rarely win in sprints. He needs the predicted fast pace to happen and a clear run.
Kevin is the overlay in the race. From barrier 1 with good early speed he should get the trail behind the leaders, the best spot at Dubbo if the pace is on. He was just beaten over this course and distance in June, and he wasn't disgraced after racing wide without cover at Moree last start.

He is the most reliable horse in the race on form. He is unbeaten at 1100m, has already won over this track and distance, and has lost only once on good ground. His Tamworth second was a genuine winning-standard run. Barrier 1 lets Ashley Morgan, who has won 4 of 6 rides at Dubbo, slot in just behind the speed. The heart irregularity after that run is the one worry, but he has since passed a vet check and trialled well.
He won the Dubbo BM82 on good ground three weeks ago from midfield, then ran well at Bathurst in a stronger race on soft ground. Three genuine leaders should set up a very fast pace, and that helps him in a race where backmarkers usually struggle. The drop back to 1100m and his usual position in the run are the only knocks.
His good-ground runs at Forbes and Tamworth were right up to this standard, and his record at 1100-1200m is strong. Ignore the Bathurst run, where he raced wide without cover.
She is a proven Open-class sprinter who is unbeaten at Dubbo, and a fast pace should give her the chance to run past tiring leaders. Her flat Randwick run came with a vet finding that she was slow to recover, which probably explains it. Her Grafton win is a better guide.

From barrier 4 he should lead or sit second in a moderately run race, the on-pace role that wins most often at Dubbo. The rise to Open is the main question, but the 3-4kg weight drop helps and his record on good ground over the mile is strong.
Stay Silent is the class and speed of the race. His early speed should get him across from barrier 11 to sit outside or near Puntin. The doubt is good ground, where his record is poor, and he carries top weight.
That makes him a real threat if he holds that form. However, he steps up to a mile for the first time and is likely to settle back from barrier 3 in a race that should suit on-pace runners.
Canny Hell is the overlay. His Corowa second over this trip on good ground came under 61kg, and he now drops to 54kg. From barrier 5 he should be close to the pace, the spot that wins most at Dubbo, and his good-track record is solid.

Inland Petroleum Showcase (Bm58)
On form she is the most likely winner. Her last four runs at this level have all been good enough to win a race like this, and she was unlucky last start at Moree when held up. Three genuine leaders should set up a very fast pace, which suits her run from behind the speed. She won a BM58 at Dubbo and the inside draw means she can save ground.
His last start was a genuine run, finishing 3rd after missing the start. However, he has won only once and is likely to be caught up in a hot early pace, which has beaten him before when he led.
She won at Dubbo last start despite racing very wide without cover, and that form stands up well against this field. Her runs at Mudgee and Narromine were also good enough to win a BM58. She should settle midfield and be well placed if the leaders go too fast.
She is a Dubbo specialist who has placed in most of her runs at the track and has won twice over this 1300m trip. Her recent runs have been good enough to win at this level, and she was only narrowly beaten twice in her last two starts. The wide draw is the obvious negative, but a strong pace should let her find cover and run on.
