Bohemian Blitz is the most likely winner on what he has already done. Both starts were thirds in similar maidens, including a placing at this track, and he was crowded before keeping on at Kilmore on good. Barrier 10 is in the best gate band here and he maps to sit second, which early-card Moe maidens reward.

Ruby Guild has finished fourth or fifth at all five starts and again found the line from the back at Ballarat nine days ago on good ground. That makes her the horse most likely to be charging late, and her record at this class is the deepest in the field. The map is the problem: she settles last in a maiden sprint where horses off the pace rarely win, and she has still never placed.
He has early speed and should land on the pace, which this race favours. Maskiell has been quiet and barrier 5 is in a weaker band.
Satoshi is the overlay. A moderate tempo suits him if he relaxes, and he has already been in the fight at 1200m, including a nose second on the synthetic. He over-raced and stopped at Mornington and did not see out Cranbourne last time, so the fade risk is real.

The most genuine and exposed form in the race: seven starts for five placings, all on good ground, and she has been competitive against stronger maiden fields at 1200m. Second up after leading and being run down at Donald, she drops to 1100m with a 2kg claim and should settle handy, which is exactly where you need to be at Moe over this trip. The wide gate and the shorter journey are the queries, but she is the horse to beat.
Two trials produced a win and a second, and she shapes as a filly with enough natural toe to put herself in the firing line, which is essential in a Moe maiden sprint. The gate in eight is awkward and she has no race experience, but the yard knows how to produce one ready to go.
Only one race start but it was a good one, sitting third throughout and sticking on behind a smart winner on testing ground. She has since won a trial and from gate four should land in the first few, which is the place to be at Moe over 1100m. The long break, the gear changes and a warning for her barrier manners are the risks, but she is shaped for this race better than most.
He did plenty wrong on debut at 1250m, jumping awkwardly and racing keen before fading, so the drop to 1100m and a softer time of it in front should be far more to his liking. In a race with no dominant speedster he is the one most likely to lead, and at Moe the front is where you want to be in these maidens.

The form pick. She owns the strongest recent race-shape and clock lines here: a close second at Tatura over 1450, then a brave sixth after sitting outside the leader over 1600, both of winning standard. She maps to settle in the first three, the spot that wins Moe miles, carries just 55.5kg with a 2kg claim and has twice placed at the trip.
He improved markedly at his second start when runner-up over 1400 and the rise to the mile should suit a Shamus Award gelding. But he was well held in both runs and never threatened the winner last time, and his one Good-track run was ordinary.
Lightly raced and clearly on the up. He settled midfield at Geelong last time and finished off strongly for fifth, the best single performance in this line-up, and he strips fitter again. The query is the sharp step from 1250 to a mile, but his sire's stock get ground and the stable is having a good run with its only runner here.
The value runner. Forgive last start when trapped wide without cover the whole way.

Back on good ground after a forgive run on soft at Seymour. His previous Sale third over 1732m was the strongest run in this line-up, charging home from the back to be beaten just over a length. He drops in class from stronger races, maps to settle in a handy spot from gate three, and is clearly at his best on top of the ground. The main query is the quick seven-day backup.
She should have won last time at Mornington over this trip, stuck behind runners before getting out very late and flying home. She is an improving mare from a yard that wins plenty at Moe, drops to an easier grade and gets weight relief. The knock is that she concedes a start from gate ten at a track where horses racing handy have a clear edge.
An improving stayer who stuck on honestly for third over 2000m in this grade last start, following the winner throughout. He drops in class and has the tactical speed to be prominent in what shapes as a moderate-tempo race, which is what this track rewards. The big query is the outside gate, which could force him to burn early petrol to find a spot.
A genuine course-and-distance specialist who won this very race on good ground last prep and has a fine record at Moe. She drops in class, returns to the gear she wore for that win and maps to settle in a handy spot, which this track favours.

Race-fit gelding who won at this trip and grade two starts back when he settled second on good ground and fought on. He had excuses last time when caught wide throughout. From gate four he maps to sit just off what should be an honest tempo and carries only 55kg after the claim. The quick back-up is the query, but his recent winning form and ideal position make him the one to beat.
His best runs carry real quality and he wasn't disgraced when caught wide last start.
Veteran with a strong record at this track and distance, including a narrow second here in the autumn when he charged home late. He resumes second-up after a fair first-up effort and should be fitter for it. The concern is his get-back style in a Moe sprint that leans to forward runners, but a genuine tempo and his proven late dash give him a real chance to feature.
Ten-year-old who looks the likely leader and gets in on the minimum after the claim, a handy combination at a track that leans heavily to on-pace runners. He's been freshened with a couple of encouraging trial placings and has a solid record over this trip.

She comes off a close second over further and has been racing in competitive company. She has a solid 1200m record and handles good ground. The concern is her get-back style at a track that can favour handy runners, but she had a trial since her last run and her finishing effort should be strong. She is the one to beat.
She is a consistent mare who has been racing well without winning. Her latest run at Bairnsdale was full of merit after covering ground, and she has a strong 1200m record. Barrier 11 is not a disadvantage at Moe on good ground. She should be in the finish, but her lack of wins is a concern.
He is a track-and-distance winner who maps perfectly from barrier 2. His 1200m form on good ground is solid, including a strong placing two starts back. The major worry is his first-up record and a stable that is struggling for winners. He is a contender on best form but needs to be ready fresh.
She is a get-back mare who caught the eye at Bairnsdale two starts back when running on strongly from a wide trip. She has placed at Moe before and handles good ground.

Preservator appeals as the form pick. From the inside gate he can settle handy in a race lacking serious pressure.
Shubael drops sharply in grade after contesting stronger mares' races and carries a light weight with the claim. She was wide without cover last start at Bairnsdale and still boxed on, and the inside draw should give her a better trip. She has not yet placed at the mile, which is a concern, but her class edge and economical run make her a leading place chance.
She is honest but has won only twice in 32 starts and does her best work from off the pace, which is not ideal at Moe in a moderate-tempo mile. She deserves respect and is a serious place chance, but the map makes her a risk for the win.
Cable De Vega is an each-way value option. She is a proven miler with two sound recent runs over 1600m, including a close third at Kilmore and a brave effort after working early at Bairnsdale.
