Scarole is the most likely winner on form. He has run second at his last two, going down narrowly at Ballarat after racing three wide and then running well at Sandown over this exact distance while overracing. He maps to be handy from barrier 8, which is the ideal profile at Caulfield Heath, and the three-year-old weight relief helps against the older maidens.

He is the quickest beginner in the field and will race on the speed, which is exactly what the track favours. His two runs were on Soft and Heavy tracks with excuses and a Good surface should bring improvement.
Corviglia has the most ability in the field going on his two Sale runs in the autumn, where he ran to a level no other runner here has matched. The concern is that he has not raced since April, carries top weight and will settle near the tail in a race unlikely to be run at a hot pace. The stable has a strong strike rate with this jockey and the gear changes are aimed at getting him to relax.
She maps to race handy from the best barrier band on a track that rewards forward runners.

The weight swing is the key: she drops from 61kg to 53kg while the class horses carry 59kg.
The class drop helps but the 6.5kg weight rise from her recent runs offsets some of that. She is preferred to Twisted Love, who is a backmarker rising in class with a rider out of form, at a track that punishes horses ridden from the rear.
En Flique is the overlooked runner. Her form is dated but her last race at this grade was run to a winning standard, she has won at this track and at the mile, and she will race on speed from an inside draw where Caulfield Heath winners come from. The catch is that she is resuming after five months despite the data saying otherwise, and she has placed but never won fresh.

His only race start was in a genuinely strong 2yo race at Caulfield where he beat home rival Lomu, and since gelding he has won two Cranbourne jump-outs impressively. He draws the inside, maps to settle handy on a track that strongly favours forward runners, and gets a claim.
Inner Gold is the natural leader in this race and that is a major asset at Caulfield Heath, where front-runners have a big edge. The drop back to 1100m helps a horse who tends to weaken over further.
Sound System brings the most exposed race form in this field and his Echuca third was the best clock effort among these runners. He is consistently placed, has been winning jump-outs and has the early speed to race handy.
Lomu offers the value in this race. He has been placed at two of his three starts and his Mornington second last start was a genuine effort where he was making ground late. Drawn in the mid-barrier band that produces the most winners here, with Jye McNeil retaining the ride, he should get a comfortable run behind the leaders.

The form horse. Her Sandown second in open two-year-old company and her earlier Caulfield placing are the best runs in this race, and she gets a huge class relief here. She begins fast and from barrier 5 should sit just off the two leaders in a race that should be run solidly, which is the winning profile at Caulfield Heath.
A filly with one tidy race run and a good recent jump-out win here. Her Cranbourne debut second on a good track measured up well against this field and she maps to settle midfield with cover from barrier 2.
Her Sandown second last start, beaten a nose, was the best recent maiden run in the field and her earlier Flemington placing on good ground reads well too. She is a natural leader and that is the profile that wins here. The only reason she is not higher is barrier 16, which forces her to either burn petrol crossing the field or take a sit wider than ideal. If she gets across cheaply she is the winner, but that is a big if.
The overlay in the race. She ran third in the same Sandown maiden Superbec was second in, but she began awkwardly and raced four wide without cover the whole way and was still beaten under a length. Today she draws barrier 4, should settle in the first four, and gets a much softer run for her second run back. She has never missed a place and her form on good ground is sound.

Sportsbet Race Replays (Bm66)
He has produced a winning-standard performance at each of his last five starts, including two good-track placings at Pakenham, and comes off back-to-back wins where he controlled the race.
He has run second, third and second at his last three in this grade and his Sandown run over 1800m two weeks ago was solid when caught three wide. However, he has won just once in ten starts, gets back in his races on a track that punishes backmarkers, and his only good-track run was a flop.
Rip Current is the sneaky improver in the race. The booking of Damian Lane for a small stable is a clear signal of confidence, and his racing pattern places him exactly where winners come from at this track.
Shanoni is the runner most likely to improve sharply on her recent form. Her two heavy-track runs this campaign were poor, but her good-track record shows four placings from six starts including a close second over 1900m and a third in stronger grade at Canterbury. She carries the lightest weight in the race, has a leading stable and rider, and gets back to a surface she handles.

Quayclean (Bm78)
The map is a big plus: he should settle third from barrier 9 at a track where forward runners win the majority of 1000m races. Two jump-outs here have him primed.
He has been gelded and returns from a long break, but a jump-out win at Flemington suggests he is ready. The concern is the map. From barrier 10 he will settle near last at a track that strongly favours on-pace runners over 1000m. The expected fast tempo helps, but he needs luck.
He will roll forward from barrier 8 and sit in the first two, exactly where Caulfield Heath 1000m winners come from. The knock is that his form is almost entirely on rain-affected tracks, though he won his one start on good ground.
He has won four of five starts on good tracks, which is precisely today's surface, and his last-start second at Bendigo behind Weapon Clear at this grade was a strong run in heavy going that does not suit him. He meets that winner better at the weights and maps to sit just behind the leaders from barrier 4, the ideal position here.

Evergreen Turf (Bm70)
He is the only runner whose last three starts were all run to a winning level for this grade, and he did it with big weights. He should settle midfield from the inside gate and be strong late.
The obvious improver. He carried a big weight at Geelong on return and was gelded with blinkers off, so the fifth was acceptable. The concern is his get-back style on a circuit that favours on-pace runners, and he will need luck from the inside. Fair chance to run a place rather than win.
His Rosehill and Canterbury placings were solid runs at a comparable level, and he maps to race just behind the speed on a track where that position wins more than its share. The lack of a win on good going is the obvious query, and the wide gate adds risk.
His two runs here in autumn were both strong for this grade and both featured traffic problems. Last start over a short trip he was held up again and still ran on. Today he gets a mid draw, the lightest weight in the race and a distance that suits.

Sportsbet Fixed Odds Exotics (Bm66)
He has won or placed at Caulfield Heath on good ground in all three visits and his 1500m runs here in autumn were the strongest form in this race for firm conditions. The expected hot tempo suits him sitting off the speed under Zahra.
Attachments has the best 1200m record in the field and her form at Bm66 level on good tracks has been consistently competitive. A fast pace with three genuine leaders should set up for her closing run from barrier 7. The rider is in a lean patch but the 3kg claim helps, and she showed sharpness in a recent jump-out win.
The problem is context: he has never won on a good surface and barrier 17 at Caulfield Heath is close to a knockout.
Happy Link is the value runner. Her Sandown second in Bm74 mares company was a strong effort from the back and she now drops to open Bm66 with a lighter weight and a good track that suits her record.
