Win Star is the form runner by a clear margin. She maps handy from an inside gate in a race with one leader at a track that favours on-pace runners midweek.

Great Times Ahead showed enough on debut to rate as the main danger, getting home nicely from last after a slow start at Hawkesbury. The Dundeel colt should improve for the longer trip and the Waller stable has a strong record when travelling. The concern is the map. With a slow tempo likely and the track leaning toward on-pace runners midweek, he will need to be much sharper from the gates.
Until Next Time is the best of the rest on what she has shown. Her Sunshine Coast debut read poorly on the result but she was slowly away, raced at the tail in a fast race and still finished within six lengths. Now she drops to a light weight from barrier 3 with blinkers retained.
Wurzburg is the map play. He is the one genuine leader in a small field and should find an easy lead at a track and distance where on-pace runners win far more than their share, particularly midweek.

Sky Racing Mdn Plate
Her Ipswich second was the strongest recent performance in this field, she is improving with racing, and she maps to sit just off two moderate leaders from an inside gate. Ben Thompson and the Archibald stable are both flying. The only real question is the extra ground on breeding, but she has already shown she stays 1710m at a solid tempo.
A genuine each-way maiden whose consistency is hard to fault, with placings at six of nine starts and a narrow second over 1800m last time out. He maps beautifully to sit on the pace from barrier 6, which suits the track pattern. The concern is he keeps getting beaten, and the stablemate looks the stronger runner on recent evidence.
A hardy on-pace type who has one of the better 1800m runs in this field on his record at Sunshine Coast despite being caught wide, and he placed at his only visit to Eagle Farm. The claim drops his weight nicely. The wide gate is the obvious problem and he may have to work early to hold a forward position, but he mapped and raced well from wider draws before.
A genuine overlay candidate. His last two runs at Gold Coast and Eagle Farm were much better than the eighth and seventh placings suggest, and he draws the fence for the first time. Worth a small each-way play.

XXXX Gold (Bm65)
Ready For Aimee comes into this off a career-best pair of runs at Ipswich, winning a Class 1 then going down by a nose in a Class 2 fillies and mares handicap, both to a standard that wins this. She is the quickest beginner here and maps to control the race from barrier five on a track and grade where leaders and handy runners dominate.
That earns her a top-three place on form alone.
She has won twice at 1200m and handles Good ground well. The negatives are a get-back racing pattern that suits poorly at Eagle Farm under a moderate tempo and a testing 59kg. She rates a genuine each-way chance but the map keeps her below the top two.
She carries the minimum weight, draws inside and reunites with a rider who has won on her both times.

A fast tempo from two leaders gives her the race shape she needs and Michael Rodd's record for this stable is outstanding. The risks are that she is yet to win, comes off a long break, and must make ground at a track that favours on-pace runners.
Final Crusade brings the highest single performance in the race, a close Toowoomba second that was several lengths better than a maiden standard. He then tackled a million-dollar two-year-old race, so today is an enormous class relief. Gollan and Thompson are both flying and the colt has enough speed to land handy behind the two leaders, which is where Eagle Farm 1000m races are won.
Anderlay is the map horse. She led throughout on debut at Ipswich and was only run down late by a length in a run that was close to a winning standard. From barrier 2 with 53.5kg she should lead again, and Eagle Farm 1000m races heavily favour on-pace runners from inside gates. The concern is that Brazen Diva and Disparate can push her along, and the connections are not in great form.
His last two Gold Coast seconds over 1000m were both at a winning standard, the latest carrying 58.5kg and beaten just over a length. He has placed eight times from 13 starts and handles Good going well. Fitness and recent form give him a genuine each-way claim.

Century Pools (Bm78)
Moonshine Run is the form horse here on what he has actually produced. His Doomben third at this grade last start was the best run in the field, and his Gold Coast win over 1800m in July was well above this class. He settled midfield in both of those and was not a true backmarker, so the Eagle Farm on-pace lean is less of a worry than his map suggests.
Hot Majesty is a proven Eagle Farm 1800m performer with three placings from four starts here, and his third at this track and trip last start was close to winning quality. The stable is flying and the map is ideal. Very likely to be in the finish.
Lennox gets the map. With two genuine leaders and a moderate tempo expected, he can control the race from barrier 4 and Ben Thompson knows Eagle Farm well.
His last few runs have been consistently strong, including a winning-standard second at Eagle Farm and a third at Doomben when he led. He settles handy, which is the right place to be here, and drops 5kg from his last start.

Quickzou maps as the clear leader from barrier 2 in a race with only moderate early speed, which is the winning profile at Eagle Farm on a midweek card. He won here over 1200m on good ground earlier this year, was competitive first-up at Doomben when forced wide late, and the Gollan stable is going well. His recent form is honest rather than dominant, but the combination of the map, track record and connections makes him the most likely winner.
Fireforce arrives in career-best form after winning a Bench 65 at Ipswich, having previously run third at Eagle Farm over this trip in a stronger race on good ground. He has placed at all three visits to this track and distance, gets in light with 57kg and draws to settle in the first half of the field.
Vin Santo has produced the best recent form in this field, winning at Sunshine Coast and then running second twice against solid opposition within the past month. He races handy, which is the right style for Eagle Farm, and he should get a lovely trail behind the leader from barrier 7. The concern is that all his wins have come on rain-affected ground and the track is drying, though it should still hold some moisture.
Duomo is a lightly raced gelding whose Doomben win and two seconds on good tracks were run to a level this field has not matched. He drops well down in grade from open three-year-old company and Ben Thompson takes the ride. The negatives are real: he hasn't raced since May, the data lists him as in regular work but the gap is nearly five months, he is unproven at 1200m and the stable has a poor Eagle Farm record.

Ladbrokes Hosted Pots Plate (C1)
Farset is the form pick as the clear controlling speed in a race with a moderate tempo at a track where on-pace runners hold a real edge midweek. His Ipswich maiden win was solid, and earlier Sydney seconds at Wyong and Hawkesbury were run to a winning standard. With Ben Thompson retaining the ride and little pressure likely from the outside, he can lead throughout.
Lady Windermere produced the strongest performance in this field last start when leading and just failing at the Gold Coast over 1400m. She has won at Eagle Farm previously and has been consistently competitive at this level all preparation. Solid each-way proposition.
However she is not selected on top because she gets back in her races at a track where backmarkers struggle badly, the tempo looks moderate, and she has yet to win on good ground.
He draws well, should land handy behind Farset and comes from an in-form Gollan stable that rarely wastes a trip to town. Small each-way play.
