Best on form in a weak maiden. Folsomprisonhooves is a light-weighted, improving 3yo filly who has been right there in two of her three starts and had her best runs close to the pace. She should lead or sit just off it in a moderate tempo at a track that rewards speed.

Bill & Lurl Perry Memorial Country Boosted Mdn Plate
A genuine early-speed type with the best stable form in the race. This Ain't Texas has been placed on wet ground and is competitive in this class, but her sprint-only profile and a wide draw make the extra distance a question. If she gets a soft lead alongside #12 she can run on, so she rates a clear chance, just behind the pick on stamina doubts.
A veteran maiden but one who is primed and capable of running a place. Tassy Fox is second up, settles in a useful spot and has handled a range of tracks and distances.
Sensesational Star was very close on soft going at 1400m this campaign and has run well in wet conditions over the same distance. Her midfield settling spot suits a moderate tempo, and the rain-affected track should lift her form.

Heritage Motel Plate (C1)
The only runner who will lead, drawn to cross easily, and she has just won a wet-track race from the front. If she gets a soft lead in a moderate tempo she will be hard to run down on the tight Cootamundra turns. Top pick on form and map.
A reliable placegetter who meets this class on level terms and has the right on-pace style. Barrier 13 is awkward but the 1600m start gives a long run to the first turn.
Top weight, a wide draw and the class rise are hurdles, and he has not yet shown he handles soft ground.

Trish & Stuart Anderson Memorial Mdn Hcp
She ran a strong second in a Wagga maiden plate, then won a barrier trial last start. She races on the speed from a handy gate, which is the best way to ride Cootamundra's short straight. Top weight and the soft ground are mild concerns, but she stands out as the most likely winner.
Brave Summit showed plenty on debut at Corowa, finishing close up after settling well back. She also won a jump-out on a soft track, which is encouraging for today's conditions. Her closing style needs a genuine tempo, and the two leaders on the map should provide it.
North Star Miss is the best-credentialed soft-track runner in the field. She ran third on Soft 7 at Sapphire Coast and has raced regularly in tougher grades. She has yet to win and her stable and rider are out of form.
Aerialize is an improving filly who was only a short margin from winning at Corowa last start after a slow beginning. She also ran a creditable fourth on Soft 7 at Narromine, so the wet ground is no concern. Each-way appeals.

Twin Hills Stud Hcp (C1)
Still the likeliest winner of a weak race.
A solid each-way type with a good map. It sits handy from barrier 4 and has been competitive in better company before the spell. Prefer it for the placings, with the win chance reasonable.
She appears likely to settle too far back on a moderate tempo, and the stable is cold. She is better suited to a place chance than a win.
It won last start with the best clock in this field and appears to be on the way up second-up at a trip it knows.

Virbac (Bm58)
She is the most reliable on-speed runner, with a sound soft-track and 1200m record and a drop back to her grade after a good Bathurst third carrying the same weight. A moderate tempo and the short Cootamundra straight suit a front-runner, and the wide barrier is manageable. The 59kg is the main query, but the opposition has more holes.
A genuine contender who is improving and can race in a handy spot, but she carries top weight on a softening surface and from a wide gate. The stable's form is the main concern.
A classy mare who has won on soft ground and was only just beaten last start. The danger is the step up to Bm58 and a back-of-field run on a track where the straight is short. A moderate tempo gives her less pace to chase, but her turn of foot and the stable's form keep her in the first three picks.
She likes a wet track and showed she can win and run a close second in the same Bm58 grade on rain-affected ground.

Central Hotel (Bm66)
The best form pick on a soft track. She has a strong strike rate, a soft-ground win last month and the on-pace running style that suits Cootamundra's sprints. Her results have been consistent against stronger company than Bm66, and her jockey knows her well.
A winner last start and a soft-ground winner at Gundagai, she gets in with the minimum weight and has the early speed to work forward from the inside. The class rise to Bm66 is a question mark, but she ran fourth at this grade on heavy ground and the weight advantage is significant. Her record at this track and her trainer's poor strike rate at Cootamundra are concerns, but she is a clear place chance with genuine winning claims.
His form lines are reliable and he is rarely out of the placings, yet he has won only twice and is untested on rain-affected ground. A midfield to back-of-field run in a moderately-run sprint on a tight track is the opposite of ideal.
A lightly raced mare with a good soft-ground win in her last start. She has few starts but has already won in the wet, and she is fresh for the trainer. Barrier 13 means she will probably settle in midfield and cover extra ground, and Bm66 is a step up.

Riverina Ford Cootamundra Cup
Fox Appeal is a reliable placegetter who has proven he handles soft going and the 1600m trip against Open company. A genuine tempo should let him run on from midfield.
Stormbringer has been running solid placings and the stable is flying. He handles soft ground, draws well and gets a light weight.
Tavolo has the best recent form in this field, with a Moruya win and a close second at Hawkesbury, both in stronger grades. The expected fast tempo suits his back-of-field style, and his jockey knows him well. The soft-ground record and the step up to Open are the concerns.
Shadow Dane has the standout single performance in the field, winning an Open Hcp on soft ground over the same trip. His two runs since were over other distances and on firmer going.

Australian Meat Group Country Boosted (Bm58)
Vinari beat her Bm58 rivals on Soft 5 at Queanbeyan and has a strong winning partnership with Keatings.
Sundrop has won a Bm58 on heavy ground, and her last run in this class was a good third. She is consistent and runs on well from the back when the speed is strong.
Best form credentials in the race for these conditions. National Asset has won on Soft 7 at 1400m in this grade and runs home strongly, which is ideal if the three leaders burn each other off.
East Harlem is well weighted and has performed credibly in this grade, finishing third in a Bm58 on soft ground last start. The speed in this race should bring his late run into play, and 55kg is a clear help in the wet.
