Ran second first-up on debut with good early speed and should improve for the run. Likely to sit on the speed or just behind it, a good place on a Heavy track. The Gollan stable is going well and the jockey has a strong Eagle Farm record. Wet-track form is unknown, but pedigree and running style give her the best form case in a open maiden.

A solid and reliable type who has finished third on her last two starts at similar level, including over this track and trip. Settles in a handy midfield spot and should find the line again. The stable is in strong form and the barrier is fine. Heavy ground is a question mark, but the softer-track runs are encouraging. A winning chance if she handles the going.

The most likely leader or near-leader in a race with no clear pace. Led last start at Doomben and held on for third, and the light weight helps in the wet. A moderate tempo gives her a good chance to control the race.

The most proven runner in the field, with a solid placing record and good pace on the speed map. Gets a favourable barrier and showed enough on soft ground to suggest the wet is no concern. Last start he was held up and should have finished closer.

However he settles midfield or worse from a wide gate and the slow tempo does not favour closers. Last start was a step backwards.

Gets in with only 53kg and has an inside draw, which are both big positives on a heavy track. Debut was better than the result as she was last throughout and was still closing. Trainer is in sparkling form. Needs to improve her position but can do so from barrier 4.

The best-credentialed runner on form. She won easily on a Heavy 9 track at the Sunshine Coast, leading throughout, and tops the field on recent times. With no other confirmed leader, she should dictate a slow pace on a soft-leaning surface where backmarkers struggle.

Quite a good wet-tracker who has won twice in the Heavy and carries a very light weight with a claim. She took out a race at Doomben just over a month ago and has run on strongly in other starts.

Camelight ran on well at Eagle Farm in the Heavy last time it raced in the wet, against better company than this. He drops to Class 1, should sit handy from barrier 9 and has a strong stable and jockey combination behind him. Top weight and a long spell are the risks, but he is the most likely winner on form.
