The most credible form line in a shallow maiden. The step to 1400m suits a filly that was working home late rather than showing brilliance. Barrier 8 and the untried Good surface are the only genuine queries, and neither is enough to displace her on demonstrated ability.

The strongest course-and-distance form line in the race. Barrier 3 lets her sit far closer, which matters given Kembla's on-pace lean.
The class edge on paper - she has raced at Group 2 and Group 3 level while her rivals have contested provincial maidens. Second up from the spell after a 1100m hit-out that was far too sharp, the rise to 1400m and barrier 4 with genuine early speed give her the map Kembla rewards. Latham's 14% at the track and 20% for Thompson is a real positive.
A genuine overlay in a race where nothing has won. Watch Me Tango was beaten only half a length at Sapphire Coast when crowded late, and her Kembla failure came over 1200m which is patently short of her requirements. Each-way value.

She sat third the whole way, which is precisely the settling profile that wins at Kembla (25% for 4-6 settlers versus 4% for leaders).
Adaptation has the ideal draw and map, an in-form jockey and a strong metropolitan stable, and the return to a mile after two short-of-trip runs is a genuine positive. He rates a clear top-three chance and is the safest place proposition in the race, but not the best win value.
His last-start ninth is completely forgivable given he was reported lame. The weight relief to 56kg is significant and the map is favourable.
He gets a big weight drop to 55kg. The obvious knock is his back-marking pattern into what shapes as a moderate tempo at a track that punishes closers.

The debutant profile stacks up on every proxy measure the framework demands. O'Shea/Charlton place first-starters with intent, James McDonald did the trialling, and Latham is in career-best touch. Barrier 1 at Kembla suits the strong on-pace lean at the 400m. Short but justified.
The most proven runner in a shallow maiden. Barrier 3 is a marked improvement on gate 11 last time here, and a fast tempo suits a horse who finishes off strongly rather than sprinting. Lacks the winning knack but is the safest proposition.
He then raced greenly when sent forward and dropped out in May, but that was a tactical mistake rather than an ability question. Snowden has him ready. Needs to overcome first-up and greenness questions but the raw ability is undeniable.
The best-credentialled runner on class. A Group 3 third over this trip and a Listed run at Randwick outclass anything else engaged, and both recent Sydney maidens were solid without luck — slowly away at Kensington, keen at Canterbury under 59.5kg. Today he gets 3kg off and a very fast tempo to run at from midfield.
Genuine overlay. He steps in from barrier 11 to barrier 5, which transforms his ability to be closer in a race expected to be run at a fast tempo.

Beer Carpenter Racing Mdn Plate
The strongest form line in the race. She races here 1kg better off, second up with that hit-out behind her, from barrier 2. With three genuine leaders and a Very Fast tempo forecast over 1200m, the race shape is tailor-made for her finishing burst.
A debutant with the best recent trial in the race, winning at Rosehill over 900m only eight days ago after a clear pattern of improvement across three heats. Blinkers first time signals the stable expects her to be sharp on debut. Barrier 6 places her in the most productive draw band for Kembla sprints and lets her sit in the first six at the 400m, which is where this track's winners come from. Inexperience over 1200m is the only real reservation.
Waterhouse & Bott with Wadick strike at 17% together, and barrier 4 maps her a trail behind the speed.
The most reliable form line in a maiden dominated by trial horses. Second start with natural fitness improvement, Waller stable and Magorrian in strong form. Kembla's sprint course rewards runners in the first six at the 400m, which is exactly where she settles.
An honest mare who has been repeatedly unlucky. She has 4 thirds from 10 starts and now steps up to 1200m for the first time, which should suit a mare whose runs are finishing off.

SydCOM Provincial Hcp (C1)
The most credible and exposed form line in the race. From barrier 8 she settles third or fourth behind a genuine speed duel between August Rush and Duck For Cover, the exact profile Kembla rewards. Blinkers back on is a positive tweak.
A genuinely progressive 3yo who won here a fortnight ago with the sort of finishing burst that stands out on an on-pace track.
Solid, honest track form. Duck For Cover was third over this exact course and distance a fortnight back after leading throughout and only being run down late, and is now second up with fitness on his side and a class drop in his favour. The Kembla record of 3 starts for a win and a third is the best local profile in the race. The barrier is the problem: from 12 he must either burn petrol crossing or race wide, and with August Rush also going forward the tempo could compromise him. Solid place claims.
The overlay of the race. She steps to the minimum 55kg, gets winkers first time and meets a race with two genuine leaders that should burn early. The risk is obvious: she needs the tempo and clear air from a wide-ish draw at a track that favours forward types.

Plumbing The Gong Hcp (C1)
The strongest genuine form line in the race. Beaten a nose in an identical Class 1 over 1400m at Newcastle a fortnight ago after settling sixth, having already won at Kembla Grange in April. That run beats every maiden formline in this field on merit. Second-up he should be fitter again, the Good 4 is his best surface, and Lever knows the horse and the track.
A dominant Wyong maiden win on debut from midfield reads well, and a Waterhouse & Bott colt with barrier 3 and 56kg maps beautifully into a moderate tempo. The reservations are real — one start, untested on Good going, first attempt at 1400m, and a jockey without strong recent numbers.
Maps as the likely leader from barrier 2 at a track that rewards forward runners, and the first-up record of 2 starts for 1 win combined with a Kembla win makes him a live chance fresh. The recent Randwick trial second confirms readiness. The concern is a documented pattern of leading and weakening, including a 6th over this course and distance in February after leading to the 400m. Genuine each-way value with the map and grade drop working for him.
The last racing run reads badly but came with a stewards note about the rider being concerned with her action, which explains it away. Latham is in career-best form, is 1 from 1 on her, and the barrier 4 midfield map is ideal. Clear each-way overlay.

Hibbo All Play (Bm68)
Four wins from six starts, including his last two, and his 1400m Newcastle win under 59.5kg reads well above BM64 level. He does his best work from midfield with a strong closing burst, which suits the projected moderate tempo with Spiritualistic and Satness contesting the lead. Barrier 11 is the only genuine concern and class rise is modest. The 41% Neale/Singleton combination signals stable intent.
Two of her three wins have come at 1400m and she was run down by a nose leading at Hawkesbury last start. The obvious caveat is a bare Good-track record of 4:0-0-0 with all wins on Heavy, and she has folded when hassled before. With only Satness likely to press early, she should get a soft enough lead to be very hard to run down late.
Satness is a Kembla Grange specialist with 6 wins and 8 placings from 32 starts there, including a BM68 win over this exact course and distance on Good 4 in February. He was beaten only half a length first-up over an unsuitably short 1200m here three weeks ago and the step to 1400m is a clear positive.
Her distance record of 6:2-1-1 confirms 1400m is her trip, and at just 55kg with barrier 7 she maps perfectly midfield for a moderate tempo.

TBC Distribution Kembla Grange Spring Mile (Bm64)
Her Kembla record of 13 starts for two seconds and two thirds confirms suitability, and a predicted settle around 4th places her in the track's most productive band. The slow tempo suits a forward-midfield type more than the outright backmarkers.
The significant grade drop and a winning second-up record are strong positives.
A progressive four-year-old who won this trip last start at Nowra from well back and has been placed at both Kembla visits. The 3kg claim brings him to 56.5kg which helps at the mile. The concerns are real though: he has never won on a good track from four attempts, the jockey is winless in her last 20 rides and 0 from 17 for Matthew Smith, and he is mapped to settle around 12th into an expected slow tempo where Kembla backmarkers win barely 5%.
Orange Tsunami has won his last two, both from the front, including at this track over 1500m a fortnight ago. He has clear early speed from barrier 5 and the Freedman stable is firing. The reservations are stacked though: 60.5kg top weight, a first attempt at 1600m, a class rise, and a fast predicted tempo with Dolce Dior also wanting the lead.
Savoonga is the most genuinely progressive runner in the race. She has won her last two, the latest a 1600m Class 1 at Wyong where she sat third throughout and never looked in doubt, and her form line reads 5645x211 with the improvement all coming since the winter. The class rise is real but modest given she was beating similar-quality opposition, and Reith for Widdup at 18% is a serious booking.
The lone confirmed leader in a race full of backmarkers, dropping in grade and getting back to a trip she has won over. With one genuine on-pacer and a predicted slow tempo, she can dictate her own fractions and be very hard to run down late.
