The class runner of the field. She is second-up with a modest record in that scenario and will give the leaders a start, but her talent and the stable's strong form make her the one to beat.

She was beaten only a head here last week over the same trip. But she has never won at 1000m in 12 attempts, repeatedly finding one better, and she backs up on a six-day turnaround.
An in-form last-start winner who led all the way. He races handy, which suits the Belmont 1000m pattern, and he has already saluted here over the trip. The top weight of 59kg and a jockey going through a lean patch are negatives, but he is consistent and should be fighting out the finish.
The value play. He was beaten a head over this course and trip last start and gets in 2.5kg lighter here, so he meets the winner of that race better at the weights. His handy racing style is ideal at Belmont and he won two starts back.

He has won three of five, is unbeaten in two runs at this trip and has three wins from four at Belmont. He resumed with a strong 1200m victory here, charging home from midfield, and has a win from one second-up. Pike stays on. The only query is a firmer track, but his class should see him through.
Unbeaten in one but very promising, having settled handy and won with authority over 1200m here last time. He maps to sit just behind the leaders, the ideal spot for the likely even tempo. The step up to 1400m and into Open class is a genuine test, but his style and the strong stable/jockey combination give him a leading place chance.
From gate three he should be able to take up a handy spot, and at Belmont that forward position is a real advantage. One of the better value chances in a race short on proven winners.
He accounted for a couple of today's better-credentialled rivals in that win and his record here at the trip is a win and a placing from two. The wide draw is the obvious knock, but if he slots in, he has shown enough to be in the finish again.

Morley Growers Market (Rs0ly)
The form standout. Two runs this prep at Belmont 1200m produced a win and a narrow second, both after settling well back and charging home. He has two wins at this track and trip and handles good ground. A fast tempo ahead of him should play to his closing strength.
Chris Parnham, who rides this track better than most, keeps the ride. She settles back and rattles home, which the quick tempo should help.
Honest front-runner who keeps finding the placings — placed in five of her last six, mostly in similar grade. She draws the rail and carries a light weight, so she can lead or sit handy.
Light weight and a handy draw let her settle near the speed, which suits Belmont. Forgivable flop two runs back over 1400m — back to a sprint is her go.

Drawn to settle handy in what shapes as a slowly-run staying contest. Consistent at the trip and looks the one to beat.
She won at this level two starts back over 2100m and has the state's leading rider in the saddle. Last start she was only about two lengths away in stronger company. The concern is a wide draw and a likely slow tempo, which makes it tough for a get-back mare to reel in the leaders.
Carries the lightest weight in the race and settles handy, which suits a slowly-run contest. The obvious query is the step up to 2200m, a trip she has never tackled, but her form and feather weight give her a genuine chance.
The value runner.

Wittens Irrigation & Design (Bm72+)
The one to beat. In tremendous touch with two wins from her last four, and she came from midfield to score strongly over 1400m here last start. Pike rides for the in-form Williams stable and she has three Belmont wins to her name. The queries are a first try at 1600m, a wide barrier and a rise in grade, but her powerful finish suggests the trip will suit. Hard to get past.
Suited by the return to the mile, where she produced her best recent effort, a close-up third at Belmont. She settles back and winds up strongly, and the step up from 1400m looks ideal on a good track. The nagging concern is a long run of placings here without a win, and she will need luck from the rear. A genuine winning hope if the race sets up for closers.
Scored a strong fresh win over 1400m here, sweeping from midfield, and he is a consistent performer at this level with solid track and mile form. The step back up to 1600m and a poor second-up record are the risks, along with a modest strike rate on good ground. Still rates among the leading chances and should be running on late.
The obvious knock is a steep rise in grade after contesting much weaker races.

TABtouch - Westspeed Platinum Spring Series Final
He has won three of seven, is unbeaten in two starts at Belmont and has been flying home to win his past two. The queries are real - first time at the mile, top weight and a big class rise from a wide gate - but his class and finishing power make him the one to beat.
An improving four-year-old who produced the best finishing run in this field when second at Belmont two weeks ago, and he should be sharper second-up. If the race is run at a genuine clip he can sweep over the top, but he has never won at this track and his backmarker style leaves him at the mercy of the pace.
Pike takes the ride and the on-pace profile suits Belmont, where forward runners hold the edge. He has been around the mark with recent seconds and thirds at this track, but he has never won past 1300m and his good-ground record is thin, so he must prove he can see out a strong mile from a wide gate.
Her record at Belmont over the mile is the best of any runner here - two wins from three - and she gets in light from a soft draw. The big concern is that all her winning form is on wet tracks and she has never scored on good ground, so she is a risk on the drying surface.

Drummond Golf (Bm66+)
She has mixed it with stakes company, placed in the Guineas and contested the Oaks, and her best effort at this trip was a winning-standard run. She has won both first-up attempts and two of three at 1200m, with Pike riding for a stable striking at 30%. The concern is her get-back style from an outside gate, so she needs the fast tempo to drag her into the finish.
The value. Two starts back she was beaten only a neck in this exact grade over this track and trip. The query is a genuine speed duel with Cruise To Victory, which could leave her vulnerable late.
A genuine each-way overlay. He is the best-performed horse in the race at this track and trip, with two wins from four starts at Belmont over 1200m, and he drops back from tougher BM72+ company. Last start he ran on well from midfield for fifth over this course and distance, and the fast tempo up front should suit a horse who settles back and charges late. The worry is barrier 10 for a get-back type.
He is a course-and-distance winner at Belmont, rarely runs a bad race with five top-three finishes in his last ten, carries just 53.5kg and lands a soft draw in barrier 4 for a stable going well.

Ascot Opening Day 10th Of October (Rs1mw)
Won at this level and trip at Belmont two weeks ago, charging home from near last in the best recent run in this field. Champion jockey William Pike stays aboard and the stable is firing. Draws nicely in two, though he settles well back and will need luck. Clear form pick and the most likely winner.
His forward style suits a track that leans to on-pace runners in a moderate tempo. The knock is a poor second-up record and a rise in class, but he's lightly raced and improving.
A handy galloper who races on the speed and lands a good gate in three, which fits a track leaning to forward runners. The concern is a winless, place-less record at 1400m from four tries and a slightly flattening form line. Each-way claims if he sees out the trip.
He races on the pace from a fair draw and goes well for his rider. Each-way value.
