She has been holding her own in stronger races at Eagle Farm and Doomben, finishing close-up each time, and her finish is among the sharpest in this line-up. Blinkers go on first time and she is a reliable mare who rarely runs badly. She settles well back from gate 11, but with only a moderate tempo expected she can still round them up.

Deep Tiara is the form runner of the field at this track, having won her latest start over 1110m at Toowoomba and placed in her two earlier runs here. The step up from weaker company is the query, but she has been competitive at this level and looks a live each-way chance.
He has natural early speed to counter the wide draw and won his only previous Toowoomba outing. Gate 17 is a genuine worry and he resumes from a break while rising in grade, but his form says he is up to this and the stable is going well.
She won her latest start at this track and distance, leading throughout, and from gate 3 she should find the front again on a circuit that rewards forward runners. The rise in class is the risk and she can be tricky to load, but she's a genuine each-way play.

K&R Plumbing Supplies (Bm85)
He drops significant weight from those efforts and lands a soft draw beside the pace, which suits a likely slowly-run race.
He is proven at this level, though the likely slow tempo and his get-back pattern are a concern at a track that rewards forward positions. Honest but short enough.
A handy on-pacer with a win at this track who should settle close to a slow tempo, the ideal scenario at Toowoomba. His recent city mile run had merit and the inside gate keeps him handy. The leap from restricted grade to a Bench 85 is the query, but his forward style gives him a genuine each-way chance.
The likely lone leader who should control an uncontested tempo, and his last-start close-up fifth in much stronger Open company says he is not out of this.

Sherrin Rentals (Bm70)
Waller gelding drops out of much stronger Doomben company after two narrow seconds and looks well placed here. He is versatile enough to settle handy, which is exactly where you want to be at Toowoomba. The top weight and a quiet run for the stable are the negatives, but on pure ability he brings the strongest form line into this and is the one to beat.
The concern is the pattern of the day - she likes to settle back and let down late, and Toowoomba heavily rewards runners sitting handy. The form is good enough to win, but the wide draw and run style mean she needs luck.
A consistent mare who has won five times on good going and likes this trip. She showed she is up to this grade when a close fourth at Doomben two runs back, and she maps to settle right where the track winners come from.
This mare saves her best for Toowoomba, with a big haul of wins and placings here, and she was only beaten a couple of lengths in this grade at this track two starts back. The strong stable and rider numbers at this circuit add confidence.

Barrier Reef Pools (Bm70)
Lightly raced four-year-old with the strongest recent form in the race. He won with authority at Eagle Farm last start and has never missed a place, including a win over this track and trip. The wide gate is the obvious query, but he has the early dash to cross and settle handy, and the stable is firing. The one to beat.
In-form Gollan gelding who won at Ipswich last start and lands the prized inside gate, a genuine plus at this track where forward runners dominate. Consistent and effective on all ground, he steps up slightly in grade but is fit and drawn to get every chance. Rates the main danger.
Promising four-year-old who ran a big race first-up at Eagle Farm, close up after covering extra ground. A second-up record to improve on and a wide draw are the knocks, but there is untapped upside.
Proven Toowoomba performer who has won his last two, including here, and owns an excellent record at this track.

Rimbaud brings the most reliable form line into this race, having been beaten a whisker at this grade at his past two starts while doing the early work. From gate two he maps to settle right on the pace, which is exactly what this tight, turning track demands. The knock is he has never seen Toowoomba and his overall win strike is modest, but the fit between his racing style and this circuit makes him the one to beat.
Irama is a genuine Toowoomba specialist, with three wins and two seconds from six outings here, and he was tough winning at this venue last start after covering ground. He gives away a start by settling back from a wide alley, which is a concern on this turning track, but his course record and a live stable/jockey combination give him a strong each-way case. Any luck in running and he is right in the finish.
Meldubious is the class runner and a sharp finisher, but he does his best work from well back, and Toowoomba is a tight, turning track that rewards horses on the speed. From gate ten he will be giving away ground on a course that rarely hands it back. He is the one they have to beat on ability, but at the shorts he looks an underlay rather than the value, so I place him third.
He races handy from a good gate, the right place to be on this circuit.

Eureka Stud (Bm80)
Landed the strongest recent run in this field when winning over 1200m at Doomben two starts back, and he maps to sit third or fourth from a handy gate, exactly where Toowoomba sprints are won.
The most dependable galloper in the race, unbeaten in two starts at this track and trip and rarely far from the mark at this level. A solid each-way play who will be closing hard late.
The concern is her get-back style on a track that rewards forward position, along with a sharp rise in grade.
A top local jockey rides him well.

Magic Millions Toowoomba Guineas
Clearly the form pick. He won the strongest lead-up race of any runner here, charging home from back in the field, and he is unbeaten on good ground. He also won at this track earlier in the campaign. The concern is that he settles a long way back and Toowoomba rewards forward runners, but his class and turn of foot should be enough.
He is the quickest to begin and the track's on-pace bias is in his favour from the front. The jump in grade from maiden company to open class is the query, and barrier 10 makes his task tougher.
Has already won here over 1200m and goes well second up, having won fresh-up previously. He is trained by a stable with a strong record at Toowoomba and gets a jockey in hot form. He ran an even race last start after being checked and will be finishing hard, but the wide draw means he will spot the leaders a start.
A Toowoomba specialist who has won both her starts at this track. She races on the speed and has drawn perfectly in barrier 4, which fits a track that strongly favours forward positioning. Her last run over 1400m can be forgiven as she was left in front and did too much early.

1equine Weetwood Qlty
The stable strike rate is a worry and he is yet to prove himself over 1200m at this level, but he lands in the right spot from gate nine and should be hard to run down.
The class runner of the field, a Group winner who has also won at Listed level, and he brings the best recent form lines into this. The concern is the set-up: he gets back in his races and has drawn the outside gate on a track that heavily favours forward, inside runners. His closing strength can overcome that if the fast predicted tempo gets the leaders chasing, but the map and barrier are genuine obstacles.
A sharp, improving sprinter who has won two of his last three, including a strong-closing success last start. The knock is that he does his best work from back in the field, which is not ideal at Toowoomba, and this is a sharp step up in class, so he looks the best of the place chances.

TAB Toowoomba Cup
The clear form horse of the field — she has been right around the mark in stronger Brisbane company, beaten a whisker two starts back before winning at this sort of trip. She settles back and charges home, and the three genuine leaders engaged should set a genuinely run staying test that plays to her strength. Steps up to Open grade but drops to a featherweight. The one they all have to beat.
A progressive stayer who has been winning and placing over longer trips, and whose on-pace style suits this turning, forward-friendly track. He gets a soft run from a decent gate and the Gollan-Moor partnership has struck regularly together. The class rise is the query, but he is heading the right way and deserves each-way respect.
Her recent numbers are among the best in the race — a strong win two runs back followed by a close fourth in stronger company. She goes forward and gets on the pace, which is what this track demands. The wide draw is the obvious knock, though staying trips here do give the wider gates a chance.
She knows this circuit well and carries just 52kg. The quick class rise and her backmarker style are the risks, but a fast tempo should bring her into the finish.

Maps perfectly to stalk a lone leader in what shapes as a slowly run contest, and Toowoomba rewards horses on the pace. He won three of his last four completed starts before a forgivable failure when he failed to see out the mile. Back to a trip he has won at, well in at the weights with a rider who rides him well. Steps up in grade but looks the one to beat.
The handy draw suits a midfield sit. The worry is a stable and rider both going through a lean patch, and he can be one-paced.
The best-performed horse at the trip, winning three of four over it, and his recent thirds at a higher level were full of merit. He consistently runs to a high standard.
