The step to the mile looks ideal for his staying pedigree and barrier 5 lets him settle in the right spot. Untried at the distance and still a maiden, but he is the safest win play.

Dual Mastery is the likely front-runner and Eagle Farm strongly rewards on-pace runners over the mile. He resumed with a solid third and has genuine 1700m form in the book, including a narrow defeat at Grafton.
Indamouse has the sharpest closing burst in the field and was only beaten a length at Doomben last start, with a strong fourth at Eagle Farm before that. The concern is his get-back style on a track that punishes backmarkers, plus top weight and a rider in a drought. Capable of a big finish but needs the race to fall his way.
Chance De Lune sneaks in as a value play off a couple of runs at around this trip that were better than his bare form reads. He is the right sort of map horse at a track that rewards handy runners, drawing gate 4 to settle midfield.

The Gibson Mdn Plate
Clearly the one to beat on what she has shown. Gate three, a light weight and a leading rider for a smart stable are all in her favour, and the likely hot tempo suits her sitting off the speed.
Just one run to his name but it was full of promise - third at the Sunshine Coast after being checked at the start and forced wide, charging home to be beaten only half a length. Gate two is a big plus and the step up to 1200m looks ideal. With three speedsters likely to cut at each other in front, he can settle handy and be strong through the line.
A model of consistency without winning - twelve starts for four seconds and three thirds, including placings here at Eagle Farm. His recent efforts rate among the better ones in this line-up and a fast-run race should suit a midfield sit. The concern is a wide gate in 15 and an unknown rider booking, and he has had plenty of chances to break through.
The mare is improving, ran a close second at the Sunshine Coast last start after being held up, and had placed twice at Ipswich before that. She settles back and finishes hard, which suits a race likely to be run at a genuine gallop with three leaders engaged.

The class runner of the field. He ran to a winning standard when a closing third at Eagle Farm two starts ago and again when second over this trip at Doomben, and his record here over 1200m of two wins, two seconds and a third from ten is the best in the race. Still the most likely winner.
A tough on-pacer whose best recent effort was a closing fourth over this exact track and trip in April. He has four wins and six seconds on good ground and races handy, which suits Eagle Farm's sprint profile. But he carries top weight of 58kg from barrier eight, is rising in class and was well beaten last start after a six-week break. Place claims at best.
The value runner. He led and won impressively over 1200m at Murwillumbah two starts back and was only collared late at the Gold Coast last time, both runs good enough to win this. He is the likely leader in a race with only moderate speed, so he could control it. The risks are a wide draw, a modest record on good ground and a low overall strike rate.

Now with Tony Gollan, he won a recent trial and draws the inside gate, the most helpful alley here over this trip. A hot tempo should suit his closing style. The query is the strength of that country form and an undeclared rider.
She settled on the speed and fought on for second over this trip on debut, running to a standard good enough to win most maidens, and she strips fitter here. Ben Thompson, a strong performer at Eagle Farm, stays aboard and she maps to sit just off a hot speed from a handy gate. Beaten only a short margin last time, she is hard to knock.
A six-start maiden but one who keeps running to a decent standard, with a second and a third over this journey. She settles midfield, which suits a race with several noted leaders, and her experience is an asset in a field of lightly raced maidens.
He also showed at the Sunshine Coast that he can be ridden quietly and still run on from well back.

Spring Carnival On Sale Now Plate (C3)
Esha has run to a winning standard in three of her last four starts, all at this track and distance, and her fourth here two weeks ago was full of merit after being caught wide from barrier 9. She has the early speed to hold a forward spot, which is where Eagle Farm sprint winners come from.
Barrier 4 should let her settle midfield rather than at the tail, and with two genuine leaders setting a fast tempo the race should be run to suit her.
Imperial Force is the wild card on class. The concerns are real: he has not won for a long time, 1000m is short of his best, and he will need to contest the lead with Esha.
Gambler arrives in career-best form. Two weeks ago he sat outside the leader and stuck on for third in this grade at this track, beaten a length, and his 1000m profile is the most reliable in the field. He is a genuine short-course specialist who handles good and soft ground and will be in the firing line turning for home.
Thrash A Bully is overpriced on what she has already shown. Barrier 3 and a fast tempo are the ingredients she needs.

XXXX (Bm70)
The map hands him an uncontested lead at a track where leaders dominate sprints. The class rise is real but he meets Midnight Spirit 4kg better and has been improving with every run.
However he was plainly beaten at this level last start with 3kg less than today, and 60.5kg is a serious impost against a lightly weighted leader in full flight.
The worry is the draw — gate 14 is a real handicap in Eagle Farm sprints, where wide barriers win very rarely.
Won here over this trip last start, powering home from midfield in a good performance. The knock is that she gets back in her races, and Eagle Farm strongly favours on-pace horses — she will need luck and a fast tempo to run over the top.
Miss Funny Honey is the horse in this field with the most upside. Barrier 1 solves that problem, and a moderate tempo suits a mare who can sit fifth or sixth and sprint. The class drop is meaningful, she is lightly raced and carries only 56kg.
His Grafton wins were achieved sitting on speed and running time that would be competitive at this level, and his last-start failure came over an unsuitable 1400m with a rider who lost the whip. Barrier 2 and 55kg let him slot in behind Russian Ripper, which is the ideal Eagle Farm position.

Drinkwise (Bm62)
Forty Times has been the model of consistency, finishing fourth three times running against fields as strong as BM70 and an Eagle Farm restricted race, each time running close to a winning standard. He steps to 2412m for the first time, but as a Savabeel gelding with a good inside draw and a light weight he can be ridden closer than usual.
Bills Angel is the improver in the race. She gets down to 53kg here and likes to race handy, which is exactly the pattern Eagle Farm has favoured.
Lord Protector brings honest form at this level. He won a Sunshine Coast BM62 in August and then ran a strong fourth in a BM65 at Ipswich beaten under two lengths. The worries are his slow-starting, get-back style at a track where back-markers struggle, and the fact that no rider was declared in the data. Place chance.
The negatives are genuine: a wide gate in 17, a class rise and form mainly on softer going, with no win yet on a Good track.
Taravia is the one to beat. Barrier 4 is a big asset at Eagle Farm, where inside draws dominate, and his trainer and jockey are both going well.
Her Kilcoy and Toowoomba form has been sound, and she was blocked for a run twice in the straight last start yet still finished third beaten a length and a half. She gets a handy draw in barrier 5 and should sit midfield in a moderately run race, exactly where Eagle Farm winners come from. The missing jockey booking is the main caveat.

She has placed in 9 of 11 starts over 1000m, has repeatedly run to Class 1 winning standard without getting the result, and is drawn to sit just off Vincley from gate 3 with only 54.5kg.
Unbeaten and produced the strongest winning display in the field, leading all the way over 1000m to score by more than three lengths and never looking like being run down. He has the speed to be right there again and maps to lead. The query is the steep rise out of maiden company with top weight on the back of a single race start.
Vincley produced the best performance in this field last start, leading throughout and winning a Gold Coast maiden by almost five lengths under 59.5kg. He is the only genuine leader in the race, is drawn to control it from gate 5, and Eagle Farm sprints heavily favour on-pace runners from inside draws. The class rise is the natural next step for a lightly raced colt.
Life After Love is the overlay in the race. Her maiden win at Avoca was a genuinely strong performance for the grade and she races on the speed every time, which the speed map has under-read by tagging her a backmarker. From gate 6 with 54.5kg and a jockey in career-best form, she can settle in the first four behind Vincley.
