He led throughout to beat a BM78 field at Rosehill last start and comes back to Highway grade with the best early speed in the race from barrier 4, which lines up with Randwick's clear preference for inside-drawn on-pace runners over 1000m.

TAB Highway Hcp (C3)
She has never raced over 1000m, has not won on a Good track, is first run in five months, and her stable has a poor Randwick record. She is a clear top-three chance on class and pattern, but the form case does not justify her as the most likely winner over Oh Arthur.
Brave Xena has the strongest single piece of form in the race, a dominant Randwick 1000m Highway win at this grade in February, and she wins fresh. A hot tempo helps her get into it late. The problems are a wide gate, a get-back style at a track where backmarkers struggle, and two subsequent failures at stakes level. She is a genuine chance if she settles closer than the map suggests, but the risks limit her to an each-way play.
Ready To Rush won a Randwick 1000m Highway just six weeks ago and then bombed from a wide gate over 1200m when she was rushed to the front. Dropping back to 1000m with a fast pace to sit behind, she can reproduce her winning form.

Midway (Bm72)
Barrengarry is the clear form horse. His first-up Randwick win at this class was the best recent performance in the race and he did it the hard way from a wide draw without cover. He is second-up now, a stage at which he has already won, and the expected fast tempo from three leaders plays directly into his closing style.
All Star arrives in career-best form after an authoritative Hawkesbury win where he settled midfield and put them away. He draws the rail, carries only 56.5kg and gets a jockey who knows the track. A midfield settle with a strong pace on should give him the perfect run into the race, though he is still to win at the mile and this is a stronger field than he has been beating. Solid place prospect and a genuine winning chance.
Federal Reserve is a proven mile horse with two wins from three at the trip and he beat a similar field at Canterbury two runs back. His last start at 1800m was disappointing but he was ridden forward on a soft track and simply did not stay, which can be forgiven. Back to a Good track at his best distance with a good draw and Jason Collett, he should get a nice trail behind the hot speed.
His recent form looks awful but both flops came on Soft tracks where he has never won in nine tries. The wide draw and hot pace are real concerns, so treat him as a small each-way play.

The Agency Real Estate (Bm88)
Her Goulburn Cup third and Eagle Farm National Classic fifth were both runs that would win a race like this, and she posted the standout performance of the field when winning at Randwick in May. The concerns are the get-back pattern on a track favouring on-pace runners and no good-track win yet. Class edge is real and James McDonald is in top form.
Watson maps beautifully from barrier 4 to settle just off Aberlour, which is the winning position at Randwick this preparation. The doubt is whether he's a genuine miler, as his wins have all been at 1200m.
He is a proven good-track horse who races forward, which suits the current Randwick pattern, and Hyeronimus is his ideal rider. The weight and barrier are the drawbacks.
Franz Josef won four of his first seven starts and has been racing in stronger company than this over the past month. Small each-way play.

Toyota Forklifts (Bm78)
She was beaten narrowly last time after a poor start and traffic in the straight. With just 55kg from barrier 4 she should settle closer than usual and the extra 100m looks a plus given how she finishes.
He has won three of four starts, races forward and his Canterbury win was a strong performance. However every start has been on rain-affected ground, he steps up to 1400m and Saturday Bm78 grade for the first time, and barrier 16 will force Rawiller to either burn early petrol or accept a wide run. The Randwick stats are unkind to wide draws.
Night Agent shapes as a genuine improver at the second run back. He was held up on straightening from a wide draw first up and still ran fourth. His autumn third at Randwick over 1400m was a good run at this level. The concern is barrier 15 again, which likely sees him settle worse than midfield on a track where forward runners have dominated.
He settles a few pairs off the speed, which is exactly where Randwick 1400m winners come from, and his Caulfield 1400m win was a genuinely strong performance. Unproven on good ground is the main query.
Stealth Of Night is the overlay in this race. She has an excellent record over 1400m and on good ground, places nearly every start and was narrowly beaten in this grade last time on a track that did not suit. Her best form at Caulfield in Bm84 company is as good as anything in this field. Barrier 13 is the obvious query, but she has early speed and the Randwick pattern favours horses who race forward.

Hope Research Bill Ritchie Hcp
He has three wins from four starts at Randwick over 1400m, handles Good ground and is proven second up. The extra weight is the only genuine concern, but the fast tempo from two leaders should suit him settling midfield and finishing over the top.
Althoff is the improving horse of the race. He has strung together a second and two wins at Rosehill, and both wins were run to a level that would be competitive here. He carries just 53kg and the predicted fast tempo will give him something to chase. The concern is the run style at Randwick, where backmarkers rarely win, and he faces a class rise. The jockey has not been confirmed in this data so that is a gap. Each way he is close to fair value; take the place with the top pick as the danger.
He carries 54kg from barrier 2 and can sit midfield, which fits the Randwick profile better than the swoopers. His last run in the Fred Best Classic was better than the finishing position suggests. The question marks are a long gap between races and a quiet trial, plus a jockey out of form.
Formal Display is the overlay. His last three races were all run to a standard that would be competitive here, including a Randwick mile win and a Scone Cup placing behind Hellsing after racing wide. He is a specialist at 1400m with five wins from nine, carries just 54.5kg and is mapped to settle midfield, which is where Randwick winners come from. Two easy trial wins point to fitness.

Asahi Super Dry Kingston Town Stakes
Green Spaces is the best horse in the race on class and gets his first real test at a suitable trip this campaign.
Boniface is the form horse of the race, winning the Premier's Cup here last start after two narrow seconds and a solid handicap run. The two question marks are the Good track, where he is yet to place, and the step to Group 2 company.
The problem is the map: from barrier 14 he must work early to hold the lead against two other speed horses, and the fast tempo predicted here is exactly what beats front-runners.
Mr Monaco is overpriced for a horse who has already won a Group 3 and a 2000m race at this track, and who has a strong record second-up. His Rowley Mile fourth was a genuine effort while laying in, and he can settle in the first half of the field without needing to fight for the lead.

Grant Burge Tea Rose Stakes
Bangkok Hottie is the form horse. She led the Furious Stakes charge from second and held off Chilly Girl at this track and grade a fortnight ago, and her Silver Shadow second was arguably the best performance in this field. Her record is 6:3-1-1 with three wins from three on good ground. She races handy, which suits the Randwick on-pace pattern from barrier 6. The only real query is the extra 200m, but her breeding and finishing effort suggest it will suit.
Her record is 3:2-1-0 with a Listed win in the Rosebud and a narrow second in the Furious Stakes, and she maps perfectly from barrier 2 to lead or sit outside the leader on a track favouring forward runners. She is not selected on top because Bangkok Hottie beat her at level weights in the same race a fortnight ago, both her wins have come first up, and 1400m is an open question for a Trapeze Artist filly.
Queen's Gamble is the improver in the race. Her 5:2-2-1 record includes back-to-back easy wins, the latest a three-length romp at 1400m at Warwick Farm, and her last three runs have all been of a standard that would win most races at this level. The concern is the map, as she gets back and Randwick has been favouring on-pace runners. If the two leaders press each other and the race opens up, her sustained run through the middle stages will bring her into it.
Sequinned is the overlay. She has won her last two starts, the latest at Warwick Farm carrying 59.5kg after racing wide, and that performance was as good as anything Global Goal or Striking Alibi have produced recently.

Seven Sunrise Stakes
Autumn Glow returned in the Winx Stakes and produced the strongest performance any runner in this field has recorded, beating four of today's rivals. She is unbeaten second-up, unbeaten at the Randwick mile, and drawn to sit just off a slow tempo with the best jockey in the country. A small field with no pace suits her on-pace style.
Gringotts closed strongly into third in the Winx Stakes with a performance that stacks up as the second-best recent run in this field. He is a proven miler with six wins from ten at 1600m and typically finds more second-up. Nash Rawiller returning is a clear positive. He cannot match Autumn Glow on class but shapes as the most reliable of the rest for the placings, particularly with the ability to settle closer than the true backmarkers if the tempo is slow.
Ceolwulf ran second in the Chelmsford Stakes over this exact course and distance a fortnight ago, finishing over the top of tired horses in a race with little pace. That win-standard time was not reached, and he relies on a hot tempo to be at his best, which is unlikely here. Still, his record at the Randwick mile is excellent and he is fitter than most.
Her two 1400m runs this campaign were both compromised by the tempo, and the step up to a mile is what she wants.

Yarraman Park Shorts
Ninja produced the joint-best recent run in this field when he won the Missile Stakes here five weeks ago, sitting second and running to a winning standard. He is a lightly raced four-year-old still improving, has never been beaten second-up, and his forward racing pattern fits the Randwick sprint profile where handy runners dominate. With a fast tempo expected, he should get the run of the race just behind the leaders.
Headwall's Concorde second was as good as any run in this field despite a poor start and being blocked in the straight, and he has never run a bad race second-up. The fast tempo suits his closing style, but he must overcome Randwick's clear preference for forward runners over 1100m.
On class Joliestar towers over this field with Group 1 wins here and a placing at Royal Ascot, and James McDonald has an outstanding record aboard her. The reservations are all about today's setup rather than her ability: she returns from a long trip with two quiet trials, draws wide and will need to come from the back at a track that heavily favours forward runners.
Jokers Grin is the each-way play. His Group 3 win over 1100m in Perth last spring was a genuinely elite performance and his overall record is the best in the field. He is now with Chris Waller, has trialled brightly twice and draws inside.

Nick Moraitis Trophy (Bm88)
Ice Kool has won four of six, three of them at Randwick, and his best wins here rank with the strongest form in the race. He was forgiven last start in this same race after racing wide without cover on a soft surface. Today he draws to settle just behind three genuine leaders in a very fast race, which is the winning position at Randwick sprints. Most likely winner.
Golden Straand brings the best individual piece of form in the race, a Hawkesbury win that ran above the standard needed here, followed by a Listed placing from an impossible position at Scone. He has not raced for four months and the trials were ordinary, which is the main query, but the tempo shape is perfect for his finishing style and Nash Rawiller has never been beaten on him. A big weight and the inside draw are handicaps, but class and a fast race give him every chance.
Hawker Hall is the last winner of this race and beat Ice Kool doing it, and he brings James McDonald and a good draw again. He is dropping from a stronger grade and his form is consistent rather than spectacular. He should be on the speed in a race where that matters, and he ranks a clear place chance with a winning hope if he controls it.
Amazing Eagle is a serial placegetter but his last-start second at this level and track was strong, and today's setup is tailor-made. The stable is flying.
