It has been placed in nearly every start, ran a strong second on Soft 5 last start and should settle handy from barrier 6 in a slowly-run race. The 60kg and the unproven 1600m are the risks, but it has the best credentials in this field.

A progressive filly who has won on soft ground and looks the best of the improvers. Her last two efforts were of a high standard, and she should travel handy in a slowly-run race.
A slow tempo could make it hard for a midfield runner to get to the leaders.
O'reillys Flight has quietly improved with each run and his Eagle Farm fourth last Saturday, after racing wide, was up to the standard needed to win here. From barrier 1 with 55kg he should get the perfect trail behind the speed, and the 5kg swing on stablemate Apostle brings them closer together on their Guineas meeting.
A genuine leader who draws well and gets in light under a favourable weight. A slow tempo expected and a track that rewards forward runners could let her control the race.

Taravia chased home Captain Maverick by a whisker on Soft 5 last start, and the weights now swing about 1.5kg further in its favour. It should settle just behind the speed in a slowly-run race, and on-pace runners do best here. Soft-ground wins are the question, but the last soft run was a good one.
A genuine contender: Captain Maverick won last start on Soft 5 and is the most reliable placegetter in the field on the wet. Barrier 3 and a handy run suit. The concern is 60kg as top weight, and it was only just too good for Taravia while carrying 5.5kg more.
It usually settles back in the field, and a slow tempo on a track where backmarkers rarely win makes things hard. It has not raced at 2200m or at Doomben, and its soft-ground record is thin. A fair chance for a place, but too short to back to win.
Divine Purpose has the speed to control a race that has no clear leader, and the track suits that. Weight is light and the jockey gets a claim.

XXXX Plate (C3)
She carries the least weight, is dropping in class and has been running on at the finish in stronger races. Barrier 3 should give her a nice trail. Her main risk is a slowly run race that favours the leaders, but she should be close enough to cope.
A strong-finishing galloper who has just won here and then lifted again. The stable and jockey are going very well. The concern is the likely slow tempo, which makes it hard for backmarkers on a track that favours on-pace runners.
A class dropper with soft-track wins who has been running solidly against better opposition.
Rochedale Hero is the form horse. His Ipswich win, his Eagle Farm third over 1500m on a soft track and his Eagle Farm second last start were all run to a level that wins this grade, and he has done it from handy positions. He is lightly raced, improving and gets a moderate tempo to sit off from barrier 6. Clear overlay.
Her first-up fifth over this trip at Eagle Farm was a sound effort that peaked late, and she wins second up. The main doubt is her record on good tracks, where she has never won, and the track should be Good 4 by race time.
He has a good record at the distance and on soft ground, and his early speed suits a slowly run race.

Drinkwise (Rs1mw)
Easy Love is the best form pick. She won last start, is second-up with an improving trend and has the speed to sit just off a likely lone leader in a slowly-run race. Her wet-track record is solid on placings and she is well drawn enough to hold a handy spot.
Carravilla has the run style to dominate in a slow tempo and her last-start Soft win was a strong effort. Barrier 13 is a concern but she has good gate speed and the jockey can cross to the rail.
The Louvre has the best overall record in the field and ran to a winning standard last start. The concern is his back-of-the-field style in a likely slow race at a track that rewards handy runners. The inside barrier and hot class record keep him in the three. Best used as a place hope.
The stable is flying and he gets a handy weight.

She won over this course and distance last start from midfield-to-back and the speed in this race should help her again. Barrier 10 and the track's bias toward runners up on the pace are the risks, but her finishing run is the best in the field.
A genuine on-pace runner who has been running strong races against better company. Barrier 5 puts him in a good spot to get a stalking run behind the speed. He is a good place chance with some win appeal.
She gets the rail draw and a very light weight, and she has the speed to take a handy spot early. Her form at 1200-1350m is strong and she runs on soft ground.
Ran a very strong second in this grade last start over the same course and trip while racing wide. A genuine form runner. The draw and top weight are concerns, but the very fast pace should bring midfield runners into it.
A consistent type who was placed in 6 of 7 starts and has early speed from a workable gate. He faded late when leading here last start, but he can get a better trip stalking the leaders.

Ladbrokes Spring Racing Carnival (Bm70)
Cutepi ran a sound second over this course and distance in stronger company and now drops in class. She has won on soft ground and her inside gate is a plus. The risks are top weight and a habit of settling back, but a moderate tempo should not hurt her too much if she steps cleanly.
Lebanese is another from the Gollan stable with early speed. She has won over 1350m by leading and now gets a light weight in a race with no proven leader. Barrier 9 is workable. She was beaten at Doomben last start after racing wide, so a smoother trip could see her improve.
She won this course and distance last start, has early speed and sits in a good spot in a field with no proven leader. The Gollan and Youngberry combination is potent, and she handles soft going. Weight is the only real concern.
Upstart Lover is the only runner with a leading record, and in a moderate tempo race at a track that favours forward runners she could slip clear. She is in good form, has won on soft ground and carries a light weight.

Higgins Coatings (Bm78)
She has the most reliable recent form in the race and is the best-placed runner on the speed map. Only one other runner is likely to press her, so she should get an uncontested or soft lead at a track that rewards forward runners.
Dominant Darcy is the closest challenger on form. She has a superb record at the course and distance and has won on soft ground. The inside draw helps, but she tends to settle behind the leaders and carries top weight. If Spiethtacular is not pressed, she may find the leader hard to catch. She is only a narrow second-best.
Biancelli is the improving mare in this field. Her Eagle Farm win on soft ground was a genuine performance, and she brings strong place form. She will be handy from a good draw and her class drop helps.
Just Precious has done nothing wrong this time in, beating Spiethtacular narrowly here then stepping up to win a BM85 at Eagle Farm from a light weight. A fast pace from the two front-runners will set the race up for her to attack from midfield. Only the big weight rise and a rider in a quiet patch keep her below the leader.
Amuseantes is the value alternative. Her Doomben win was a strong performance and she gets home well. The negatives are her tendency to start slowly and sit at the back at a track that favours runners up front.

Century Pools (Bm78)
A consistent type who has finished in the first three in most recent runs against similar grades. He does his best work late, so he needs the field to run a genuine pace and he needs luck from barrier 6. Soft ground is not a proven strength.
He won well last start on soft ground and is in good form. Barrier 14 and a step up to Bm78 are the main concerns, though the light weight helps. Jett Newman knows him and the jockey can use the claim.
A handy-running horse who has won and placed at Doomben in recent months and comes in with an improving record. He has a good barrier and the map suggests he will be close to the speed at a track that rewards that.

Ten Deep gets the best of the draw and the map. She is on-pace from barrier 1 in a moderate-tempo race where the lead is open. Second-up from a spell, she has been very consistent at the trip and handles Soft. The last-start seventh was a resuming run on a Good track over a shorter distance, and she should improve.
Metaphorically is the one runner mapping to lead, and Doomben favours leaders at this trip. His two latest wins were convincing, including one on Soft over this distance. Barrier 12 and a cold stable are real concerns, but he is drawn to cross to the front and carries light weight.
She comes off two wins with improved gear, and has a handy map from a good draw.
Facundo is the best value in the race. He has won four of seven at Doomben, including on a Soft track, and he is drawn inside and expected to be handy. Top weight is a concern. However, the rider reported after his last start that he wants more give in the ground, and he is at his best in this class.

On form the clear class of the race. The slow tempo and a midfield position are the risks, but he has a good turn of foot and a barrier that isn't a handicap.
Soft-track winner with excellent Doomben credentials and the speed to be close to the pace in a race with only one confirmed leader. He has been a tough, consistent type at this level and should relish the surface.
A genuine leader who has won at the track and trip and has the light weight to go with it. With few other runners keen to lead, he could dictate terms on a track favouring on-pace runners.
He wasn't far off the top at Doomben on soft ground earlier this year and gets a good draw, a handy position and a helpful weight. Last start was disappointing, but he was unsuited by Eagle Farm on a firmer track and is second up today.
