Felix Majestic ticks the boxes that matter at Rosehill: proven on the track and trip, drawn inside, and leads in a race with only one other genuine speed. The concern is that he keeps running placings rather than winning, and the rider is out of form.

Midway (Bm72)
Magical Moments brings the strongest recent form in the race, having gone down narrowly at Canterbury in a run that was better than anything her rivals have produced lately. She is a proven 1400m horse, is better for the run, and comes from a stable in good form.
But she gets back from a wide draw at a track where backmarkers struggle, her second-up record is placings rather than wins, and her form is not superior to the two selections above her.
Call Me Sassy is the forgotten horse after winning this grade at Rosehill a fortnight ago with a forward ride and a light weight.

TAB Highway Hcp (C3)
He has won three of his last four, the latest a Scone Class 2 over a mile with 60.5kg where he ran to a winning standard for this grade. With three leaders set to go hard he gets the race shape he wants, from barrier 4 with 3kg less.
Hammoon Sensation has the best class form in the race, having placed twice in Rosehill Highways last preparation and run arguably the best race by any horse here at Scone. He settles handy rather than leading, which should keep him out of the speed battle. The concerns are real: he is fresh with a 0-from-3 first-up record, drawn wide and carries 58.5kg.
She is not the top pick because her form has been at BM66 level and she has not yet run to the standard that Magic Merlin and Hammoon Sensation have shown at this class. She also returns from 71 days with just one trial and may be buried on the fence from barrier 1.
Hip Hip Ole is the value runner. She resumed with a strong third at Wagga in Class 3 company, and her second-up record is two wins from two. With just 52.5kg and a midfield draw she should get cover as the leaders go hard, then be finishing over the top of tiring runners.

Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines (Bm88)
On form the strongest group in this race came out of the Rosehill 1900m two weeks ago, and Mister Rizz was right in it, sitting third in a strongly-run race and holding on to be beaten under a length on this weight. Today the tempo should be more even, he draws barrier 3 to sit handy, and Rosehill favours exactly that running style.
Anthracite has produced two of the best runs in this field at this class in the past month, both at Rosehill: a front-running BM88 win over 1800m and a gutsy third when leading at a hot pace and only just beaten by Starzintheireyes. With barrier 1 and 55kg he is the horse most likely to control a moderate tempo, which is the winning pattern here.
Starzintheireyes produced the strongest run in this field two weeks ago and deserves respect on that alone. The problem is everything around it: a wide gate, a get-back style at a track that punishes backmarkers, an extra kilo, a tempo likely to be steadier than the race he just ran in, and a habit of finishing second on good ground.
Medatsu is the forgotten horse out of the key form race. He has already won over 2000m at Rosehill, his good-track record is sound, and he has placed in a BM88 here this preparation.

Schweppes Gloaming Stakes
Her last win over this track and 1800m was the strongest performance in the field and would have been good enough to win most Group 3 races, so the class rise is already answered. From barrier 2 she should land third behind the two likely leaders in a moderately run race, which is the winning position at Rosehill over this trip. The fillies allowance helps.
He was second in a Group 1 over a mile and the stable has been waiting for this trip. Barrier 1 and a midfield map are ideal, and the jockey-trainer combination fires regularly.
Wonka is the improver. He has won his last two, including the Dulcify Stakes last Saturday where he beat Genesis Runner, and he has the tactical speed to sit in the first four from barrier 7, which is where Rosehill 1800m races are won.
Scarole is the overlay. His Group 2 third at Caulfield was a genuine black-type performance and he did it by leading, which is exactly the way to win at Rosehill over 1800m. With only one other genuine leader in the field he should either control the race or sit outside the lead with Rawiller aboard. Each-way.

Drinkwise Tapp-Craig
Plagiarism is the only runner here with a black-type win, and it came at this track leading all the way. Back to Listed company from barrier 1, he should dictate a moderate tempo on a track where on-pace runners dominate.
She draws well, gets a lovely weight pull and maps to trail the leader. However, she is one-start maiden winner jumping to Listed class, is untested on a Good surface, and her rider is out of form.
Piedmont was arguably the eye-catcher of the Ming Dynasty over this course and distance, giving away a big start from a wide gate and racing tight on the turn before running on into fifth. From barrier 5 with 53kg and the in-form Zac Lloyd replacing a lesser-credentialled rider, she should settle just behind the speed and get every chance. Her two best runs have both been of a winning standard, and she looks the best of the rest behind the top two.
Outspan has black-type experience that most of the maiden graduates here lack, and his Listed third at this track two weeks ago with first-time blinkers was a clear step forward. He showed early speed that day from an inside gate and should do the same from barrier 3, giving Tim Clark the option to ride him handy. His Rosehill record is sound and the step to 1400m should help.

TAB Roman Consul Stakes
Paradoxium bounced back from a wet autumn to lead throughout in the Listed Poseidon Stakes, holding off a strong field including Steel Will. The only queries are a possible pace battle with Blessed Eagle and whether he runs out a strong 1200m, but on good ground he has been near faultless.
On raw ability Satono Glow may be the best horse here. She came from twelfth to win the Listed Cap D'Antibes Stakes at Flemington in a time that stands above anything else in this race, and she carries 2kg less than the colts. The problem is the map: barrier 10 and a get-back style at a track where backmarkers have been almost shut out this preparation. A genuine tempo from the two leaders would help her, but she needs the race to fall her way, so she sits second behind the leader.
Steel Will was ridden quietly from a wide gate in the Poseidon Stakes under instructions and ran on nicely without threatening Paradoxium. His earlier wins came when ridden on the speed, and from barrier 1 with Nash Rawiller aboard he can land in the first four or five, which is where Rosehill 1200m races are won. His Rosehill win over 1300m was a good-standard effort for the grade. Needs to improve on last start to beat the top two, but the draw and rider make him the clear third chance.
Barracks is the overlay in the race. He broke his maiden at Rosehill over 1200m nine days ago, leading all the way in a time that would stand up in better company, and he was Stakes-placed in Brisbane as a two-year-old. From barrier 7 he can take a trailing position behind the leaders, which is where this track rewards runners.

Toyota Forklifts Hill Stakes
His Rosehill record is outstanding, he has already won over this exact course and distance, and he mapped to lead and win the Chelmsford on Good ground before an excusable Caulfield flop going the wrong way round. With only Eliyass likely to contest the lead, he should control a moderate tempo.
Eliyass has run to a winning standard at every race start this campaign, and his Kingston Town fourth from gate 14 and Wyong Cup fifth with 62kg read better than the bare results. He is a prolific winner who gets a great draw and will sit right behind or alongside Lindermann in a race shaped for on-pace runners.
He has the course and distance win here that few in this field can match, and gate 3 should give him an economical run just behind the leaders. He is not a reliable winner, which keeps him to a place play, but he fits the on-pace profile this track rewards.
King Pedro is the improving horse in the field. The step to Group 2 and a backmarking map are real hurdles, and quiet trials since July mean he may need the run.

Alan Brown Stakes
His Sir Rupert Clarke second at Caulfield was the strongest run any of these has produced recently, and his 1400m record is the best in the race. The second-up angle fits his profile and a hot tempo plays into a horse who settles midfield and finishes hard.
Headley Grange has done nothing wrong this preparation, winning the Tramway and then being held up at a vital stage when third behind General Salute under topweight. The inside draw, reduced weight and a genuine tempo all help his usual pattern of sitting a few pairs back and sprinting.
Gringotts is the class runner in the field and his Winx Stakes third was arguably the second-best run in this race this preparation. He loves Rosehill and 1400m, and the predicted hot speed is exactly what a horse of his pattern needs.

The Nivison
On form Arabian Rose is the most likely winner. Her Glasshouse win in July was the best recent effort in this field and she beat Gerringong fair and square that day. She has won four of seven at 1200m and ran to a winning standard at Doomben in May. The concern is the ride from the back at a track that favours on-pace runners, but a genuinely fast tempo should bring the swoopers into it.
Miss Freelove has the best second-up record in the field and her first-up fourth in the How Now at Caulfield was better than it reads after being held up through the straight. She has a Listed win at Scone and a Group 3 placing at Eagle Farm, and her recent runs have consistently been close to a winning standard.
The reason she is third rather than first is class.
Annie's Rose is a Rosehill specialist with three wins from three starts at the track, the latest a fortnight ago over 1100m in a race that stacks up reasonably well. She steps up sharply in class and does her best work on softer ground, but she gets the inside draw, the minimum weight and a tempo that should play to her finishing burst.

Chandon (Bm78)
The one concern is his midfield racing pattern at a leader-friendly track, but a fast tempo should help him.
Mercy Me ticks the key Rosehill boxes as a natural leader who showed fitness first-up when third at this track and distance, beaten less than a length. Her stakes placing at Scone in the autumn was a high-quality run for this level and she has a second-up win to her name. The wide barrier and the presence of other speed are the main worries, as she may need to burn some petrol to hold the front.
Ellipsis has the talent to win this, with her Warwick Farm victory and close Kensington fourth both strong efforts for this grade. The data lists her as in regular racing, but her form shows no race since January, so she is likely fresh after three trials and that uncertainty is noted. Her first-up record is good if that is the case.
Before that she ran two strong seconds in this grade, including a Randwick effort that compares with the best runs in this field. She offers each-way value if she can find cover early.
