Slipsain is the form horse on pure metro evidence: two close seconds in stronger BM70 races at Doomben over this trip, then a fair third at Eagle Farm when held up. Drops in grade to Restricted 65 with a light weight after the claim and maps handy from barrier 6, which suits the on-pace bias here.

The unknowns are real, however: she has never won on a Good surface and has not been past 1350m in this preparation.
Always A Rainbow is a progressive, consistent mare whose barrier and racing pattern fit the Doomben bias ideally.
The Doomben bias strongly favours that position and his wins have come on Good ground.

Livalittle has won 6 of 14 starts including a BM85 mile last start and a dominant Doomben 2050m win in January, so class and distance are both proven. The slow tempo and wide draw are the risks, but in an 8-horse field settling sixth is not deep and the horse has shown it can circle fields at Eagle Farm. Clear best-credentialled runner and the most likely winner.
Progressive mare who has won her last two at this track over staying trips and is clearly still improving. The 50kg is a significant weight advantage in a race where most rivals carry 55kg or more. Class rise is the query, but her BM80 2200m win came despite interference and she can settle handier from barrier 2 if the tempo is slow. Strong place chance and genuine winning hope.
Cavalry Man is the on-pace runner with the best recent form. The slow tempo and a likely trail behind The Right Way suit. The gear change and 58.5kg temper confidence, but he is a solid place chance with winning upside.
The extra 3kg and change to a jockey with a poor strike rate on him are legitimate concerns, but a slow tempo with the horse sitting third on the fence gives him every chance to repeat.

Barbray is the form horse. Back to BM78 with 56.5kg and a mid-barrier, his rise in weight is offset by the class drop. The get-back pattern is the risk at Doomben, but Aratiri and a blinkered Perfect Play should keep the tempo honest in a small field.
Against him, he has won just 4 of 43 starts, his jockey is out of form and 58.5kg is a real ask.
The Class 5 run here was sound and the drop to 57kg helps, yet he laid in twice recently and has won just once on Good going.
Moonshine Run is the overlay. The provincial-based form and one plain Doomben run keep confidence moderate, hence each-way.

Express Payment is the proven commodity at this level and venue, having led and won this race three weeks ago with a track-and-distance record of 4 wins from 11. Heathcote has him rock-hard fit and he has repeatedly won with 59kg-plus, so the 60kg is a caution rather than a disqualifier.
Cunnamulla Fella has been beaten by Express Payment at this exact track, distance and class last time out and, while the 3.5kg swing helps, his Good-track record is ordinary and he is a habitual placegetter. Barrier 1 and the moderate tempo suit him perfectly, so he is a firm top-three chance.
The concern is the map: he is a deep closer at a track and tempo that favours on-pace types, and he has never won at Doomben. He is a solid place chance rather than a win proposition today.
Yet He Moves is the value runner. Recommended as a small each-way play with the place component the main appeal.

Facundo is a genuine Doomben specialist with four wins from six starts here, including this exact course and distance in July. Dropping back to BM78 with a 3kg claim, he maps to get cover from barrier 4 and finish over the top. The rider booking is the main question mark.
Mean Approach brings the most exposed BM78 form in the race, having won at this level at Eagle Farm in July and then been beaten a nose at Doomben last start. He maps well from barrier 3 to sit just behind the speed with Jai Williams, who has won two of three rides on him. The top weight and a winless record from ten starts at this track temper enthusiasm, and he has tended to run placings here rather than win. Solid place chance rather than a win proposition.
Abender is the value runner. His first-up failure can be forgiven as he lost ground at the start and overraced, and his record improves second up. From barrier 1 with 55.5kg he can save ground on the turn, and the recent tilt toward backmarkers at this track helps his profile.

Dominant Darcy is the most likely winner on pure form. She has the field's best strike rate, three wins from five at Doomben, and her only run at this grade was a luckless fourth after being hampered and losing a plate. The 59.5kg is the main query but she is a class above most rivals and maps ideally behind the leader.
Cindersea has the strongest actual form at this level, having won a BM78 at Doomben over 1200m on a Good track with Dominant Darcy behind her.
Spiethtacular is honest and consistent, with six seconds from twelve starts, but she has never won on a Good turf track and every turf run sees her led and then run down. She rises in grade with more weight against two rivals who have already beaten her class.
Bonfire Spark is the value runner. If the track does slide toward Soft 5 as forecast, her wet record makes her the most improved runner in the field, and she offers each-way appeal.

Sky Racing (Bm72)
Meldubious has finished 1-2 at his last two starts in comparable metropolitan grade, including a BM70 win at Eagle Farm and a narrow 2nd at this track and distance with 60kg. He maps to settle just behind the two leaders, ideal for a moderate tempo on a track where deep leaders have struggled recently.
He has won twice at Doomben on Good ground and gets 56.5kg from a mid draw with early-speed rank 3, so he can settle closer than his recent runs suggest. Recent positional bias data at Doomben favours closers, and he is the strongest finisher engaged.
Listen Jani is the progressive horse of the field with three straight wins, but every win came on Soft ground and her only Good track run was a plain 4th. The map is favourable with barrier 3 and 53.5kg, and if the track softens for this race her chance improves.
Her last-start BM75 win at Toowoomba with 52.5kg was her fourth win from 16 starts, and she carries the same weight here from an inside draw.

The Maher gelding was narrowly beaten at Eagle Farm last start sitting handy and drops 2kg with a soft draw.
Tornado Express has already run second in this grade at this track and distance carrying the same 52kg, beaten a whisker after interference. She maps well from barrier 4 in the midfield sweet spot and is the biggest weight-relieved runner in the field. The rider booking is the main negative.
Blazing Harry is fit, in form and drops 4kg on his Doomben 1350m win last start. The concern is the sharp class rise to BM85 and a forward run style on a track that has favoured closers recently.
Sir Artie is the overlay. The 60kg top weight and a cold rider are real negatives, but he suits the recent closer bias from an inside gate and has seven Good track wins.

The Grafton trial win confirms readiness. The Group 3 run is forgivable given he was on speed off a hot pace. With a mild recent tilt toward closers at Doomben and barrier 4, he should get the run of the race and looks the most likely winner.
She has the field's best early speed and should stalk Compel from a handy spot, which is historically the winning position in Doomben sprints. Fitness and natural improvement give her a genuine winning chance.
Being the sole leader from barrier 3 with 54kg is a real edge in a 1110m sprint around this tight track.
His first-up debut was plain but he was raw then and has since trialled twice.

Epic Proportions is the form runner at this track and trip, having won the equivalent Doomben 1110m Open on Aug 1 from a worse draw and heavier weight. The Aug 15 flop came with interference at the start and laying out from barrier 12. Today he draws 2, has the early speed to slot in third behind Band Of Brothers and Cherry Rose, and gets a genuine tempo to run into.
However he must lead under 60kg on a track where leaders have won under 5% of recent races, with Cherry Rose likely to take him on early and a fast tempo predicted.
He was a close second at Eagle Farm seven days ago and drops 4.5kg from his last Doomben 1110m run, where he was fourth with 60kg.
Cherry Rose has won three of four first-up runs, has already won at Doomben over 1110m and won her lead-up trial at Rockhampton. Her recent form at Listed level was poor but today is a class drop, she carries only 55.5kg and if the track eases to Soft 5 for the last race her 15:7-4-0 soft record becomes a major asset.
