Magic Blaze's only race start was a debut second on soft ground at Gosford, and the clock rates it well above what usually wins a maiden. Two Randwick trials since, one a close third on a soft track, suggest it is ready fresh. It should sit just behind the leaders from barrier 5 in a moderately run race, and the ground suits.

It is proven on soft and has a top local jockey, but its debut fell short of the clock standard Magic Blaze set, and settling midfield leaves it relying on luck.
Chumpakidd is the most reliable horse in the race. It has run second in each of its last two starts at 1000m, both close to a winning standard, and the latest came on soft ground. It should race up outside the leader, and the 3kg claim takes it down to 56kg.
Its jockey and trainer win often together, and barrier 3 should give it a good run.

Not having raced is not a knock in a weak maiden, where the exposed horses keep finding ways to lose. The inside draw should get him a cosy run off a lone leader.
The most reliable exposed horse in the race. He has two seconds from three starts here over the trip, handles soft going, and was beaten only a short head two runs back. Forget last start's Wyong run, where he was bumped, checked and ran wide.
His debut fifth at Hawkesbury on soft ground was better than it looks. He got back, was ridden along on the turn and kept going without quickening, and the run was not far off winning maiden standard. The wide draw is the main worry in a slowly run race, but he has the most upside of the horses who have raced.
On a soft track with only one horse who wants to lead, My Star should get an easy time in front. He nearly won from the front over 1400m here in September, and dropping back to 1200m should stop him tiring late as he has done before. Each-way value if they let him roll along.

Dashing Triple's soft-ground record is the strongest in the field. His last run at Newcastle over this trip was close to winning standard, even though he was checked on heels. He is fresh off a good trial and should get a nice run just off the speed from barrier 4.
A reliable placegetter who is fit and finishing her races strongly. She drops in weight against the geldings and should get a good spot from barrier 5. Her wet form is acceptable.
Ballinvir is an unraced gelding who placed in both trials, the latest a second on soft ground. The wide draw and the 1400m at his first start are hurdles, so he is a place chance behind the proven pair.
Her two runs on soft ground were better than her finishing positions suggest, and both rate highly against this field. She was fourth at Nowra after settling at the tail, and she should improve second up over a longer trip. The wide draw and her habit of getting back are the risks.

Henry Clive Bar Hcp (C1)
His only real query is a thin good-track record, but he has raced on softer ground and the stable has him ready second-up. He is the most probable winner.
Topweight but brings the strongest last-start class form: a fighting second over 1400 at Class 2 level after leading in the straight. He drops to Class 1, maps to sit outside the leader from barrier four, and has been competitive at Kembla. The 60kg and a lack of good-track wins are negatives, but his form is hard to ignore.
Lightly raced and improving, he produced a big run for second at this track over 1200 last start after racing wide without cover. The step to 1400 should suit on pedigree, and barrier one gives him a chance to settle closer. The query is his get-back style in a moderate-tempo race and a stable with a modest strike rate.
The value angle. He broke through over 1400 last start with a strong closing effort, and his earlier Listed experience suggests Class 1 is within reach. Mitchell Bell is riding in great form and barrier eight is manageable.

Jack Primmer Electronics Provincial (Bm64)
He nearly won this grade at the track last start after racing outside the leader, and two starts back he ran a time good enough to win this race. Wet ground suits him, he drops in class, and barrier 1 should get him the trail behind Northern Eyes in a slowly run race. His poor strike rate is the only real worry.
A progressive gelding who has only ever raced at Kembla, with a win over this course and distance among his recent wins. He did too much early last start in a higher grade and still finished fifth. If he settles, he should be in the midfield spots that suit the mile here.
On the map he gets an easy lead in a slowly run race, with the claim helping and plenty of soft-ground form. The problem is that he keeps getting run down late, even when things suit him. Expect him to be in the finish, but he is easier to back for a place than to win.
With 56kg, barrier 2 and a slowly run race expected, she should be handy and hard to run down.

Park Fuelled To Win Mdn Hcp
She won on soft ground at Randwick and on Good at Rosehill, beating a couple of today's rivals. Mitchell Bell is in form and the inside draw should give her an easy run. We rate her second behind a filly with proven wet-track race form, and back her each-way.
She now comes in fit, drawn well and ridden by one of the best jockeys at the track.
On form she is the most reliable filly in the race. All five of her starts have been on rain-affected tracks and she placed in three, and her third here at Kembla Grange in June was the best run by anything in this field. She won both trials this time in, one on soft ground, and from barrier 8 she should get the run just off a lone leader.
On wet ground her two city runs were as good as anything in the field. Her heavy-track third came after she was held up until the 300m, and she has the speed to sit handy behind a lone leader. She is the each-way value in the race.

I98fm Feel Good Kembla Grange Cup (Bm64)
In career-best form and the one they have to beat. She led throughout to win this same grade over this trip at this track just ten days ago, drops in with a featherweight after the claim, and maps to sit handy in a race without much tempo pressure.
He is unbeaten in two of three starts over this track and trip and ran a brave third on a soft surface in town last time after doing the work. The obvious query is that he carries the top weight as a lightly raced three-year-old, but his track affinity and upward trajectory make him a clear danger.
A consistent type who won on a soft track two runs back and now drops out of stronger company. He has a good draw and the early speed to be prominent, and his wet-track record is a plus on a rain-affected surface. The top weight is the grumbling concern, but he is well placed to be in the finish.
He gets a long way back but the predicted fast tempo and Kembla's long straight are made for a closer. The knock is a modest record when second-up and a wide gate, which is why he sits just behind the top pick rather than alongside him.
Ran a close second to Miss Emma over this track and trip ten days ago and meets her roughly 5.5kg better off here, which makes him the logical horse to beat out of that formline. His recent runs are all of a similar, honest standard and he was wide with a bit of trouble last time.
An in-form galloper dropping back from a stronger grade with an excellent record over this trip and a solid soft-track profile. He won last start and maps to race on the speed, which suits the likely temperate tempo.

Go Hire The Events People (Bm64)
He has a strong Kembla record and has already beaten this grade here carrying 62kg. A fast tempo with two leaders should set it up for his late run. He is first-up with top weight and a cold stable, so he is no certainty, but his class edge makes him the top pick.
She carries a light weight and has won over this trip on Good ground. Her last run at Hawkesbury was solid, finishing home from last. Barrier 1 and a fast tempo give her a good trip just behind the speed. The main query is the stable's poor strike rate, but the weight and trip make her a strong place and win chance.
A class dropper who gets on the speed in a race with two or three leaders. He ran a solid race last start at Hawkesbury. The 1000m trip is at the short end for him, and the fast tempo could expose his late fade. Still, the class drop and good record on this surface make him a place chance.
Aegipan was beaten only a head or half-length twice at Kembla over this trip, and last start he was caught wide without cover. He is at his best over 1000m.
No result was recorded for this race.
